There’s no such thing as a casual romance in this unforgettable Accidental Billionaires novel by New York Times bestselling author J. S. Scott.
After finishing a hard-won medical residency, Owen Sinclair now lives his dream as a family physician. The windfall that brought him newfound wealth has also made handsome Dr. Sinclair the town’s most eligible bachelor. But Owen’s eyes are on Layla, his … eyes are on Layla, his onetime best friend, his clinic’s dedicated nurse practitioner, and the one woman in Citrus Beach who has no interest in either his body or his billions.
In high school, Owen and Layla were always there for each other. Layla could confess almost anything to him. But wanting more than friendship was a confession too far, and Layla’s teenage longing was crushed in a heartbeat.
Two buried hurts are now in need of mending, and Owen has a proposition—if Layla is game. It’s a matter of trust as they discover so much more about the past, each other, and themselves. It’s not too late. Maybe they can make up for lost time. A love this true is worth the wait.

As they enter into a relationship they soon discover how perfect they are for one another and learn how to love each other at the end. They both learn how to leave the past in the past and move forward in a good way.

Endeared is again a great story from J.S. Scott.
This is a story of the California Sinclair’s. Owen, the youngest brother, has returned to Citrus Beach from medical school to have his own practice. The practice he buys has Layla, his long time former best friend from high school, working there as a nurse practitioner. However she does not want anything to do with him. AT ALL. Owen keeps on trying to find out why Layla is so angry with him. When they are finally in a situation that they have to speak to one another and they find out that Layla was angry at him since high school for a reason that was not true she feels horrible. So much time was wasted on the past and what she thought was true but wasn’t, so they try to give it a try. Owen is all in and Layla is too but again communication is the issue. Layla and Owen are an awesome couple. They have so much potential and it takes others to help them find out if they are made for each other or not.
This is a great story. I truly enjoyed it and could read on and on with all of the Sinclair’s and J.S.Scott’s books~
This was a great end to the Accidental Billionaires series! I particularly enjoyed the “Dark” storyline and how that connected to Layla’s past, although the present with Owen is pretty great too! This was a quick read that you can put away on a quiet Sunday afternoon; that’s what I did !)
loved Layla and Owens 2nd chamce intense emotional broken heartstopping love story
grabbed my heart
love the sinclairs ready for more
J.S. Scott has done it again! Written a sweet and engrossing read, with well developed characters and a splendid plot.

J.S. Scott has done it again! Amazing book! So sad to see it’s the last Sinclair’s book but it was such a great ending! Crazy how little things can be taken in such different ways and put a wedge between people. This can be read as a stand-alone if you have not read any of the other books in the series. Cannot wait to see what J.S. Scott has in store for us next!
This is the last brothers book, Owen, but, this is my first book in the series. I own the others but did not get the chance to read them. I’ll definitely try to find time now. Owen is the baby brother, a doctor now, not to mention a billionaire. He came home after school & residency, bought a clinic, which just so happens to employ his former best friend (and high school crush) Layla. She’s not happy to see him, but not saying why (though he used to be her crush too). Eventually, secrets are revealed, friendships mended, and so much more. I LOVED these two together. They both had tough childhoods, though Layla’s was tougher, but turned out to be amazing people. Their love and chemistry was swoon-worthy. So glad I read this!! Can’t wait to read the other brothers!!
I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I absolutely loved this story. It is the last of the Sinclair siblings finding love and Owen Sinclair was one of my favorite characters in this series.
Owen is a doctor who has moved back to town after completing his residency. His nurse if Leyla and he and Leyla were close friends in high school until something happened and she hated him.
Now as they work together he has a BIG crush on her but she is still hating him. So he needs to find out what he did and get her to forgive him because he only wants her.
Leyla had a crush on Owen in high school until he let her down in a big way. But now they work together and she lusts quietly for him while hating him for how changed her life.
Owen is a different character than his siblings. He is a bit on the nerdy side. He is not into lotsa women, he wants Layla and only Layla and I loved him into her he was. Layla meanwhile is fighting her heart and her mind about Owen. On one hand he did her wrong but on the other, he is this awesome guy. Can she forgive him? Well you will have to read this story to find out.
These two are totally imperfect for each other. I loved this story so much but I am also so happy that the Sinclair siblings all found the perfect partner for them.
This is a wonderful series and each book stars a different couple and easily stands alone. It was a great frienemy story with a second chance at love storyline.
Owen and Layla slayed it with the final book of this amazing series! Endeared threw me in for a loop. Broken hearts and promises. The emotions are riding high! I was excited to get Owen’s story finally now that he is back where he needs to be. With Layla by his side, the sparks get out of control. You can feel the chemistry flowing. This family shows us that there is more than the eye can see. There is heart and loyalty. I loved it all!
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher.
This is the final story in the Accidental Billionaire’s series, but each of these can be read as a standalone. Owen’s the baby of the family and the doctor of the bunch. While growing up he had two female best friends – but he only had romantic eyes for one of them – Layla.
Fast forward through med school and Owen’s family becoming billionaires overnight. Owen moves back to Citrus Beach, California to takeover a retiring doctors practice. In buying the practice he inherits his former best friend, Layla, as his nurse practitioner.
Something happened with Layla and Owen’s friendship. It’s not as easy as it once was and Layla is determined to freeze him out every chance she gets. Y’all know what I always say – communication is key!
Also there’s that saying about what you become when you assume….yeah…that’s definitely the feeling Layla has in parts of this book. She’s able to get over that quickly, however, because Owen is such an awesome guy.
Their budding relationship is all things new but also feels like coming home. The author did a great job turning their turmoil into a happy ever after.
Endeared is a compassionate contemporary romance you’ll fall for the characters as you read.
This heroine needed to do a lot of growing up! I wanted to shake her so bad! the hero was out of this world and he deserved better, thank god she realized how childish her grudge was..
I know it’s the end of the Sinclair a. Am I sad? Yep in a huge way, but am I excited about her next books? Absolutely. Owen was just a character all in his own. The youngest of the “other” Sinclair a, the brainy one and the one who seemed to need to do more. I loved how he took control of his other best friend, Andie when she was ill. But this is about his other best friend, Layla. It was heartbreaking to hear about her childhood but I was thankful that J S Scott brought up the subject of depression. How it affects people, the end that some people think is the best way out. It was done with passion and knowledge and so sensitively with making a mockery of it. Owen and Layla were always meant to be together but I guess like most they just needed their hiccups in life to bring them to the point where they could officially be together. I loved the whole story. I am so looking forward to reading about the Montgomery’s.
I’m Endeared
Owen is the next Sinclair to find himself in the hot seat Owen has just returned to Citrus Beach and has bought his own practice to run. He discovers the one person he left behind ten years ago is working for him…but their “relationship” is tenuous and Owen can’t make heads or tails as to why him and Layla only have a professional relationship and why they are no longer friends
Suffice to say, Layla has a few secrets about her past that Owen isn’t aware of….but one of them – she blames him for and the direction her life eventually took This story was great in the sense that friends, turned strangers basically became friends again and eventually something more I loved how Owen, even though he came across as really sweet and dependable in previous stories, he really steps it up in this one to show a different side of himself
I loved this story and recommend anything that J.S. Scott has written as all her stories are pure gold….or in this case….blue diamonds I received an advanced copy via Netgalley and want to thank the publisher and author for my copy and I willingly leave my honest review
J.S. Scott has few equals when it comes to billionaire romance. Her glimpses into the worlds of the über rich give you a tantalizing look into how the one percenters live. However what I love most is her characters are genuine, likeable and pretty down to earth regardless of their wealth. They love. They hurt. They get angry. They make mistakes. Added to that the strong family ties she weaves into every story really resonates.
Owen Sinclair has been so busy becoming a doctor that he’s never has time to adjust to being a billionaire. Afterall, they don’t have billionaire school. Layla Caine has been career focused since graduating college and hasn’t had much time for anything else. They were best friends in high school and both had secret crushes on the other. Now ten years later they rekindle their feelings but not before revealing secrets from their pasts. But never fear, there’s definitely an HEA in store for them.
Endeared by JS Scott is book 5 in the Accidental Billionaires series. This series follows the west coast Sinclair’s and their journey from being dirt poor, to having more money than they can spend, while finding the love of their lives along the way.
Layla and Owen were close friends all through high school until Layla believes that Owen betrayed her. 10 years later, we find that Layla is a nurse practitioner who is working in a practice that Owen (a hot doc) has just bought.
JS Scott writes beautiful love stories with great secondary characters. I look forward to the next book in this series! 4.5
I have really, really enjoyed every book in this series! The Sinclairs family has provided such a rich series, and each book is so unique and so enjoyable, and through it all, they’re a family adjusting to what life has thrown at them.
J.S. Scott always delivers billionaires with heart, with personality, and with caring. She doesn’t give us glitzy, showy billionaires that are all about the fast life, big money and frivolous spending. She gives us billionaires that want to have purpose, drive and satisfaction.
Layla and Owen were best friends in high school, before Owen became the man that he is now, and they were torn apart. Now, they’re forced together again, and they’re trying to readjust to being in each other’s orbit. Layla wants none of it at first, but the more time they spend together, the more they rediscover each other, the more they are drawn back together. They renewed their friendship first, and that was such a necessary foundation for a lasting love.
Owen is so much more than the typical hot doctor. He’s goofy, nerdy, protective, sweet and empathetic and compassionate. Layla is so strong, and she’s been through a lot that could have broken her, but she didn’t let it ruin her heart and soul.
A really satisfying read, and I’m sad to see the Accidental Billionaire’s Series come to a close.
I absolutely adored Owen and Layla. After working so hard to become a Dr, Owen finally has time to relax. Owen and Layla have been best friends since high school. A mistake leads Layla to blame Owen and Layla avoids him like the plague. Finally home and ready to start as a doctor Owen is determined to find out why Layla hates him. Can these two overcome mistakes that were made or is it too late.
I have loved all of the Sinclair family from the East coast to the West but there was something about Owen made him my absolute favorite of all the Sinclair family.
Owen was so devoted to becoming a doctor that when he finished school he realized that he had missed out on being a normal teenager, young adult and most heartbreaking he had missed out on being there for biggest moments of his siblings’ lives but he was back in Citrus Beach and determined to make up for all the things he missed out on and the very top of that list was winning the heart of his best friend from high school, Layla.
Layla was feisty at times but it was her incredibly kind heart that shined the most in her character. She didn’t have an easy life but you would never be able to tell because she was all things kind, caring and loving to all living beings.
Layla and Owen’s chemistry was evident in the prologue and became more intense with every page thereafter. They started as a bit of enemies to lovers then as they settled parts of their past it became a slow burn, swoon worthy friends to lovers as they rekindled their friendship and opened up to each other in ways they never had before and the chemistry became explosive.
I adored Layla and Owen this was the perfect mix of witty banter, feels, steam and loving siblings that you know will always and without question (well, at least, not many questions) have your back or throw a punch when you can’t.
I can’t wait to see what J.S. Scott brings us next I love getting all her new characters in all new settings and never knowing when a character from a previous book will pay a visit.
I really enjoyed reading about Layla and Owen. Friends long ago that turned to enemies and Owen can’t wrap his head around why this has happened. They were great friends in school, shared everything together until they didn’t. Now that Owen is back and practicing in Citrus Beach and working side by side with Layla, can he convince her to see beyond her anger towards him and see the real him? With love and relationships there are always obstacles to overcome and Owen will have to work extremely hard to get Layla to move forward with their new friendship and not give Jaxson the time of day. Amazing read, this author is one of my favorites and a definite go to when I need something to read. I received a copy of this book.
Endeared. . I simply loved reading Layla and Owen’s rather eventful journey. From a sweet beginning to a major misunderstanding to a life-changing decade apart, can true love rise above past hurts and heal wounded hearts? Well, if the steamy, chemical reaction that sizzles between the two is any indication, I think that the odds are favored on the side of love. Ms. Scott has a fantastic, engaging way with words. Reading this book, really any of her books, is truly a pure caloric-free treat that should be savored. Do not hesitate. One-click and binge away!
