There’s no such thing as a casual romance in this unforgettable Accidental Billionaires novel by New York Times bestselling author J. S. Scott.
After finishing a hard-won medical residency, Owen Sinclair now lives his dream as a family physician. The windfall that brought him newfound wealth has also made handsome Dr. Sinclair the town’s most eligible bachelor. But Owen’s eyes are on Layla, his … eyes are on Layla, his onetime best friend, his clinic’s dedicated nurse practitioner, and the one woman in Citrus Beach who has no interest in either his body or his billions.
In high school, Owen and Layla were always there for each other. Layla could confess almost anything to him. But wanting more than friendship was a confession too far, and Layla’s teenage longing was crushed in a heartbeat.
Two buried hurts are now in need of mending, and Owen has a proposition—if Layla is game. It’s a matter of trust as they discover so much more about the past, each other, and themselves. It’s not too late. Maybe they can make up for lost time. A love this true is worth the wait.

Layla and Owen’s story begins when Owen returns to Citrus Beach and becomes Layla’s boss. Best friends in high school now strangers. While in high school they developed feelings for each other but did not admit it to each other, instead their silence and a mis understanding drifted them apart.
Now a billionaire Owen wants a second chance with Layla who has secrets she has never told anyone and is afraid of telling Owen.
I must say I love this authors books I have read book 1 for this series and waited for the others to be out to binge read them (hate the wait lol), but then I get the amazing opportunity to be part of her review team, so my family ate take out for a few days while I binge read them all.
What a great finale to this series! Loved Owen and Layla’s story! A misunderstanding kept them apart for so long but they were finally able to figure things out. Layla’s story was heartbreaking! Thankfully Owen is such a caring individual! They were such an awesome couple! I absolutely love the Sinclairs! Highly recommend!
J.S. Scott – Endeared (The Accidental Billionaires – Book 5)
Here we are at the bittersweet moment. First, Owen finally gets his story told, and, second, it’s the end of the series. With all of the previous Sinclair books, the five (5) Accidental Billionaires leave you wanting more. That is what makes an author great and worthy of our time and money.
Endeared starts off with Owen Sinclair finally finishing medical school and his residency and is now back in Citrus Beach, CA. The storyline takes us on a trip with three (3) best friends from high school, Owen, Andie (who is now married to Owen’s brother Noah, (book 4 ENCHANTED), and Layla. Now Layla’s two best friends were going off to Boston for college, and Layla would have to stay home and go to a college closer to home.
In their Senior year, they both begin to have feelings for each other but, being teenagers, neither Owen nor Layla would admit it to each other. Just weeks before graduation, Layla stopped talking to Owen. Layla felt that Owen betrayed her all those years ago, and she is not letting it go.
Over ten (10) years later, Owen is back, and it looks like fate has other ideas because after the local physician retired, Owen purchased the practice. Yes, you guessed it, Layla is the nurse practitioner for the physician office. Since Layla could not avoid Owen at the office, she sure would not have to be around him on her own time, but that is harder to do than she thought.
Find out if these two can get their HEA because Layla is determined not to let Owen consume her.
I received this ARC for an honest review.
This was my first book by J.S. Scott and I totally loved it!! The characters were people I would love to meet and the story line was really well written. Owen and Layla were close friends in high school. Owen went away for medical school, while Layla stayed in their hometown. This is the story of how they grew apart, and finally become close again 10 years later. They both have careers in the medical field and have had major life changes since high school. I really enjoyed their journey and apparently this is an ongoing series, so I need to read the other books to catch up!
This is the fifth and final book in The Accidental Billionaires series by J.S. Scott. This time its the turn of Owen Sinclair, the youngest of the West Coast Sinclair’s. The story doesn’t disappoint and is between Owen and Layla, who were childhood best friends, however Layla stopped talking to Owen over a misunderstanding. The book doesn’t fail to impress and the two leads are great together. Sad that the series is now over and hoping we get some mention of them in future different series. Five stars.
Sweet, romantic, fun, a light read that is going to left your heart full, and eager to seek more on this story.. love how the author wrote their story and how the make it work and made us part of it. Really glad that I read it.. two thumbs up.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we get Layla Caine and Owen Sinclair’s story. 10 years earlier Layla wanted anything to be able to tell her best friend she wanted more for them than just friendship. With Owen having a scholarship to medical school she didn’t want to put that type of pressure on him. That night when she got home though things changed and she was angry at him. There was a part of her that still wanted him but the other part was so hurt by what she thought he had done she wanted nothing to do with him. There is a couple of problems though Now they both work in the same medical facility and the other well their best friend Andie they both would do anything for her. Owen doesn’t know what happened all those years ago but he misses Layla. The more he is around her at the clinic the more he would like to know what happened all those years ago to drive them apart. He not only wants his friend back but he wants more. What happens when what really comes out about that night will it be the beginning of a HEA or will it be the end of them forever?
This is an amazing conclusion to the Sinclair siblings. This author will have you looking at relationships in a new way. You will fall in love with the way she has you looking at life and this book is no different. There are so many things I want to tell you about this story. However I don’t want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. You won’t want to let go of these two even when you read those two words the end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
This was the perfect wrap up to the Accidental Billionaires Series. A story of losing and finding oneself again, of pushing to better yourself, and to chase your dreams only to find true love and acceptance. Ms. Scott brings you all the feels while completing the Sinclair sagas on the high of having one thoroughly obsessed possessive billionaire win the woman he loves.

A bittersweet conclusion…
I am no way near ready to let go of the Accidental Billionaires! Orphaned children/teens had a solid connection and looked after each other. That didn’t stop when they were suddenly wealthier than they could ever have imagined. Each sibling found true love until Owen. His and Layla’s story was a warm, bright and emotional conclusion to the series…
Friends, best of friends, until suddenly they weren’t. That mystery was soon solved when, a decade later, Owen came home and demanded answers. The chemistry that both had denied as teenagers was suddenly one piece of the puzzle they had to solve. These characters had hidden depths of pain and loneliness that, once revealed, were going to be relegated to the past. The love they had for each other spilled out in so many ways, each one a hint of the feelings they had. Their courtship was full of laughter and adventure as well as cleansing tears.
This story was an ending but the epilogue soothed as it showed the happiness all the siblings and their extended family now had. Once again, a story that made me smile and a series that brimmed with warmth and romance…
Every time I read a book from this author I say it’s my favorite. I don’t know how she does it but she tops the last one every time. Owen and Layla were best friends in high school and a misunderstanding kept them apart for 10 years until Owen comes home a doctor and opens his practice. As fate would have it Layla worked for him and they got the chance to reconnect. It took a lot for Layla to trust Owen. There were things from her past that made it difficult to believe anyone. Once all cards were layed out it made them even closer. They were always meant to be with each other they just took the long way around. Now that all of our beloved Sinclairs have found their happily ever after, the next generation is about to unfold.
Don’t let your past define your future
Owen is back home after finishing medical school with his own medical practise. One of his high school BFF’s, Layla is working for him, Layla has detached herself from his life and doesn’t want to have anything to do with him. He’s determined to find out why.
I love Owen and Layla. They are each other’s person’s. Together they are just better people. This is a warm wonderful read.
I was supper excited about this book it seemed like I waited forever to come out, and the wait was totally worth it. Love love love Owen this is definitely one of my favorite books in the series and I will say again I love how all the books in the series are so family involved thanks Jen for another amazing book
My favorite part of JS Scott books is how she incorporates heart, heat, all the feels and HEA all within a story that has depth atypical for a usual romance novel. The Sinclairs have been such a great series. I’ve loved everyone #JSScottJunkie. Owen, like the rest of his family, is struggling with becoming billionaire practically overnight. All he’s thought about for years is becoming a doctor. His newly acquired wealth makes him skeptical of who all really cares, who his true friends are and if he can ever trust a woman to love him for him. He’s never forgotten his best friend from high school Layla. Layla has struggled for years with lack of finances and a betrayal she believed was real and devastating. Is Owen the sweet boy she remembered or the pain she can’t forget? When their worlds collide 10 years later, so many issues must be straightened out so that mattes of the heart can prevail. JS Scott really packs a punch with emotions, layers of story and, bonus, steamy scenes. Her books are the kind you have to read twice bc you get so ingrained in “I have to know what happens next!” that you breeze through and need to go back for the little details you may have missed. You will love this book as I did, guaranteed! The only downside is waiting for the next one to read!
To say Layla’s less than thrilled with her new boss is an understatement. She has never forgiven Owen for betraying her back in high school, so having to report to him now is unthinkable. Except Owen seems not to know why she hates him. Will he ever get out of her what he supposedly did? And one he does, will he tell her how he really feels about her? Has felt about her for years?
J.S. Scott writes the best billionaire romances. There’s heat, there’s a bit of drama, and there’s always love, along with fabulous characters and chemistry for days. I can never get enough of her writing, since the very first book of hers I ever read – The Billionaire’s Obsession, and it’s stories like Endeared that keep her at the top of my favorite billionaire romance shelf.
Endeared by J .S. Scott is book 5 in The Accidental Billionaires Series. This is the story of Layla Caine and Owen Sinclair. I have read the previous books which did add to my enjoyment of this one. But, I do feel you can make it a standalone book if you wish to do so…but its a great series. This book gives us Owen’s story who is a Doctor but he and his siblings didn’t start out with much. The one best friend Owen had was Layla and they were very close. But something happened that pull them apart. Now in their present day Owen is back and he is wanting a second chance with Layla but she has her secrets and isn’t so ready to move forward with him…yet. I am such a fan of this author. I love how she writes and I feel that I am there watching the story unfold instead just being a book I am reading. I would recommend this book, series and her writing. Loved it.
This is the last book in the series and I have been waiting patiently to read this story! This book can be read as a stand-alone. Owen Sinclair and Layla Caine have been friends for a long time. When they were seniors in high school, their feelings became more of a romantic interest but they did not act upon those feelings. Closer to graduation, Layla misinterpreted something she thought was Owen’s fault. This Incident caused Layla to part ways with Owen and their friendship. Ten years later, Layla is a nurse practitioner and works at the office that Owen ( who is now a doctor) just purchased from her former mentor/doctor (who recently retired). Tension way high in the beginning but they finally resolved the issue of the miscommunication all those years ago. Now they face the sexual attraction and chemistry that has been brewing all those years. Their love scenes are explosive! Now they have to come to the reality of making their feelings last forever! Another amazing book and great ending to this series!
I received an Advanced Reader Copy from publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. Dr. Owen Sinclair and Layla Caine had been friends throughout high school and something changed right before graduation. Layla started avoiding Owen and Owen had no idea why. Avoidance was no problem after high school. Owen and Andie moved to Boston and Layla stayed in Citrus Beach and became a nurse. Now Owen is back and has bought the medical practice that Layla works at, avoidance is not an option anymore.
At a reception to celebrate Andie and Noah’s marriage, Owen is finally able to get Layla alone to discuss what they find was a huge misunderstanding. After noticing Layla drawing the attention on Jax Montgomery, Riley’s brother, Owen devises a plan that will bring him and Layla closer than ever. As the couple gets closer, Jax makes his way to Layla and Owen is not happy. Will this be the end of this HEA?!?!?!
Please read this last story of the Accidental Billionaires series. You won’t regret it. It is everything that readers look for from this author. You will not be disappointed.
J.S. Scott never disappoints Endeared brings the curtains down on a another wonderful series, its filled with drama, misunderstandings and a second chance at love between Layla and Owen it also shed light on mental illness all in all a must read in your catalogue of books by this great author.Enjoy
J.S. Scott continues her Accidental Billionaires series with the youngest Sinclair, Owen. Owen has finished his residency and has opened a practice and has hired the friend, Layla for whom he always had a torch burning but had lost touch with. Layla retreated from her friends after high school and they had moved to the other side of the country. She battled her demons alone and is not sure how to let someone in now.
Owen and Layla’s romance is sweet and sexy by turns. Owen is the man most women would swoon over. Smart, handsome, sensitive, funny, and successful. Layla is the friend you love to have. Strong, loyal, smart. The two together are the perfect couple once they get over the issues that keep them apart. Scott’s deft ability to mix heat with swoon-worthy moments with laughter and deep moments is on full display in Endeared.
If you love J.S. Scott this is one for the one-click finger.
