There’s no such thing as a casual romance in this unforgettable Accidental Billionaires novel by New York Times bestselling author J. S. Scott.
After finishing a hard-won medical residency, Owen Sinclair now lives his dream as a family physician. The windfall that brought him newfound wealth has also made handsome Dr. Sinclair the town’s most eligible bachelor. But Owen’s eyes are on Layla, his … eyes are on Layla, his onetime best friend, his clinic’s dedicated nurse practitioner, and the one woman in Citrus Beach who has no interest in either his body or his billions.
In high school, Owen and Layla were always there for each other. Layla could confess almost anything to him. But wanting more than friendship was a confession too far, and Layla’s teenage longing was crushed in a heartbeat.
Two buried hurts are now in need of mending, and Owen has a proposition—if Layla is game. It’s a matter of trust as they discover so much more about the past, each other, and themselves. It’s not too late. Maybe they can make up for lost time. A love this true is worth the wait.

Another good enjoyable addition to the series. I bought the first three and I am happy that I can continue to read the rest of the series on KU. Having the audio version included is a big bonus.
Owen’s vulnerabilities and uncertainty towards Layla is so sweet, charming and sexy. I love this friends to lovers, second chance romance because of these very special characters. Their pasts, their secrets, their compassion and their love take you on a very passionate journey that heals and nurtures their souls right into a happily ever after.
Endeared is definitely a slow burn, and I loved it. Because we get to enjoy every moment of Layla and Owen’s reconnection.
The main characters are perfect. And it is amazing to see them evolve and get through their difficult childhoods.
J.S. Scott does a wonderful job of telling this beautiful story of new beginnings. Endeared was my first story of hers, but it won’t be my last!
*I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.*

Endeared was the fifth and final book in the Accidental Billionaires series by JS Scott.
Owen was the youngest Sinclair sibling. Although we saw glimpses of him previously he wasn’t around for most of the series as he was away finishing up medical school and his residency. He returned home in the previous book and purchased a retiring doctor’s practice.
Layla was Andie’s (book four) best friend. Layla and Owen had also been best friends in high school but it was the quintessential “grew apart because of a misunderstanding” theme. They hadn’t seen each other for a decade and Andie held a grudge with Owen being clueless. Unfortunately she was the nurse practitioner for the practice that Owen bought and they worked closely together.
I enjoyed both characters. I’m not a fan of secret grudges when things aren’t talked out so the theme wasn’t my favorite (personal opinion only) but it was well written and once we got passed the misunderstanding, the relationship progressed. I enjoyed Owen the most. He had a huge heart and although he had aloha tendencies, he was a teddy bear at heart.
Additionally, Scott entwined the Montgomery’s (Riley’s siblings, book three, Enamored) as part of a bridge for the next installment of Scott’s Billionaire Obsession series. It was creative and enticing.
All in all, it was a quick and enjoyable read and I can’t wait for more from Scott.
I looked this book. J.S. Scott is an amazing author. Her stories always keep you wanting more. One of my favorite author. This story lets you belive that you can find love in a friend yoy have known for a lifetime.
Discovering Owen & Layla story has been an absolute delight. After many years of hard work, long study hours, and counting every penny, Owens finds himself back home in California with way too much spare time and a huge bank account. But some things don’t change. The one person he longs for is the only person that can’t stand to have him close, which will make things a bit difficult for them to work together. Layla’s past is a mystery even to her closest friends. There is a part of her that she has not shared with Andie or Owen and now more than ever she will do anything in her power to keep her secrets hidden from them.
Layla can’t stand to be close to Owen since he betrayed her so many years ago. But he does not understand what is going on. They will have to discover that a second chance at their friendship is just what they need. Together they will accomplish many first in their path to healing and discovery of their new reality. Their story is filled with passion, love, friendship, many secrets, and great surprises. From the very beginning you will fall in love with Owen & Layla and you will not be able to put this book down. Can’t wait to see what will happen next.
Omg freaking goodness… I swear to you if J.S. Scott doesn’t come up with another billionaire to write about I’m gonna die..not really but you get the idea.. can anything be more loving than that of the story of Owen and Layla. It was touching, sweet and sad all at once. It kinda makes you wise you had someone like that in high school into your adult life. I loved everything about there story.. well done to the author. Please buy and read this book.. the series even I tell you . You will not be disappointed trust. Oh how I loved this one it’s by far one of my favs in the series. Good reads.
Endeared (The Accidental Billionaires, Book Five) was another great read by J.S. Scott. Owen Sinclair is now living his dream as a family physician. Owen only has eyes for Layla, his clinic’s nurse practitioner. But she seems to have no interest in him. They have been best friends since school but she can’t admit to him that she wants him. I really enjoyed reading Owen and Layla’s story and can’t wait to read more by J.S. Scott.
I loved this book! I was such a page turner that I could not put down once I started reading it. I highly recommend that you check it out for yourself.
Endeared
Much anticipated and completely satisfying!
The conclusion to the Citrus beach Sinclair’s.
A spectacular story of Friends to enemies to lovers.
A steamy love story that starts with an outrageously passionate kiss and builds to a panty ripping climax.
Layla is working for a man she once thought as her best friend and then her deceiver. Owen is the boss of a woman he once had childhood cravings for and after seeing her again he cannot deny his never-ending attraction for.
J.S. Scott has not disappointed with the story of Owen and Layla. I could not have wished for a better description of a warranted love for Owen Sinclair. He is everything that you would want in a McDreamy Doctor. I do not know if I would have chosen Layla at the beginning of the story to be Owens fated love, but she redeems herself in the end. Cannot wait until Jax’s story comes out!
I anxiously awaited Owen’s story and I was not disappointed! Owen is everything you hope for in a Sinclair brother. He is fiercely loyal to his family and his friends. Layla and Owen were the best of friends until an unspoken misunderstanding ruined that. Owen never understood why Layla was so angry at him and Layla spent years angry for reasons she thought made perfect sense. Because in her world, disappointment was a given. This journey of 2 friends to enemies to lovers was so full of angst and joy and pure happiness, you could not help but feel it all, from page 1. I am sad to see the final story of the Sinclair family, but Jan did not disappoint. What an amazing read!
I absolutely love all of J.S Scott’s books, and this one is no different. Owen and Layla’s story is a second chance romance, it started years prior and left a heartbroken Layla. 10 Years later Owen shows up as the new doctor in town and ends up right where Layla is working as a nurse practitioner. She is still hurt from what happened and Owen tries to find out what happened. What an emotional roller coaster that will keep to reading until the end. This is book 5 in this series but they can all be read individually. A must read.
5 Stars
Owen and Layla needed their story and it is perfect. The youngest Sinclair has finally come home after years of school to become a physician and crossing paths with Layla, his new nurse practitioner, is both a blessing and curse. What happens when the woman you were best friends with in high school barely speaks to you? Well Owen finds out because he is stubborn and refuses to let whatever is getting in the way stand between him and the woman he has wanted to have by his side for over a decade. This story is full of intense feelings, emotional moments and plenty of passionate moments. When both of them are able to open up and be honest about their pasts, and what they felt then, and still feel now, the future can be everything they ever wanted!

I’m fed up! Every book in this series has been difficult to finish. Times have changed, but the author has not. I’ve been with the author from pretty much the start and I have purchased every book as it comes out, sight unseen, but I think I’m done. The book prices have gone up, up, up but the content has sadly fallen off. At almost 7 bucks for a book, I expect more. The story had potential and was interesting but was so dry – the author didn’t take the reins. There is simply too much inner dialogue which is constantly repeated far too many times. It’s enough to read one’s thoughts once, we don’t have to reread it again, and again at the beginning of the next chapter, and then again by another character. We want events, challenges, dialogue not pages of inner thoughts that became far too repetitive throughout. It was an okay read, don’t get me wrong, but at this price point, and I used to buy sight unseen, we deserve more. I think I’ll stick with unlimited and skim from now on and it’s a shame. On top of that I must say, I never understand the covers. The Walker brother have recently been changed but before they we’re, the covers alone made you think it was a paranormal when it was a billionaire – it always baffled me and this series, there’s no continuity to show it’s a series – baffling!
Owen is the youngest of the Sinclair brothers, he has always had a plan and stuck to it. He went to Boston to college to become a doctor. His best friend Andi went with him to attend college as well. They went off to college together and left thier friend Layla home to attend college in California. Owen mangaged to get himself thur college and be there for Andi as she battled cancer without lettinf anyone back home know.
Now Owen is home to Citrus Beach and Andi is married to his older brother and Layla works for him in the clinic he bought from a retiring doctor. Layla ended up going to college and becoming a nurse practioner. Layla tolerates Owen but doesn’t want to have anything to do with him outside of the clinic and he cant understand why. They were really close friends in high school and he cant figure out what he has done to make her not want to spend time with him.
Layla had worked hard all her life to be someone. She has hid her past from her very best friends. She is holding a grudge against Owen and doesn’t want to be any where near him. How can she trust him when she thinks he screwed her out of a scholarship?
Can these two work out the feelings and resentment and deal with the smoking chemisty they share. Relationships take communication, trust and lots of faith.
Great well written story, suprise or two included.
This book is about the youngest Sinclair, Owen and his one time best friend and crush, Layla. Owen had finally finished medical school and has returned home to start practicing medicine. He now works along Layla who holds animosity towards Owen for something that supposedly happened when they were in high school. Owen doesn’t know that he did but is determined to find out. When the truth comes out the two must decide if they want to pursue a relationship.
I received a copy of this book for a honest review.
This is Endeared, The Accidental Billionaires book 5, written by JS Scott. Owen and Layla were friends all through high school and lost touch after graduation. Now Owen Sinclair is a doctor and the new owner of the clinic where Layla works as a nurse practitioner. Things didn’t quite end well years ago and now he is essentially her boss. Will they be able to put the past behind them and work together? When everyone is full of secrets there is just no telling when things may blow up! It’s another MUST READ from JS Scott!
J.S. Scott has a way with words!
Owen and Layla’s friendship ended over a misunderstanding but the rekindle of their relationship is sweet and a journey worth reading.
Every single book J.S. Scott writes is my favourite time and time again
Excellent ending to a beautiful series that all good books come to an end. Owen and Layla have been friends since high school but lost each other over a decade. Once reconnected through Owen purchasing a clinic that Layla already worked at. Of course there is sparks and chemistry between them once they come into agreement to spend time together. Can’t wait to continue Jan (J.S. Scott) next journey of books..
Best friends in high school, after a terrible misunderstanding Layla wants nothing to do with Owen. But finally the air is cleared and an amazing romance begins. Loved this story definitely recommend this book.
