I thought it was well written and kept me interested until the end. Good plot.
Realistic, twists and turns, and surprise ending-enjoyable read!
Enjoyed this mystery/adventure book set out west. A little slow at first but the action picked up a lot in the middle and the characters were interesting. I’ll be planning to read the next one in the series.
Was a great read and it kept your attention.
Great book, 1st I’ve read by this author, but definitely not the last!!!!!!
Really enjoyed the outdoor setting for this book.
Loved the setting and characters were easy to become acquainted with. Storyline was woven deeply so it keep you mesmerized until the very end. A worthy enjoyable read!
A great book. Sam Westin is a character I want to read more of.
Excellent read!
enjoyed this book. will read the rest of the series.
An east to read wilderness mystery, from a young author with great future potential.
A page turner for sure!
Not finished and may not. Characters seem stunted.
Great characters, realistic scenarios, fast paced action and unusual turns! Loved every page!
Good mystery with enough characters to make it interesting. I like the nature conservation angle too.
The story flowed nicely. Nothing objectionable. Nothing really reached out and grabbed me either. The treatment of the animals and their plight was interesting and informative. Unfortunately, I didn’t care about the lost child. Spoiler Alert! Even after the island discovery, I expected the outcome that happened.
I really liked this book. The characters were very believable and entertaining. It also made you stop and think about the wildlife in our national parks. I really liked the fact that whenever I was sure that i had the the right character as the guilty party, the author showed that I was wrong! I am definitely reading all of her books – I love her description of the animals and the parks as I have been in many national parks in the western U.S. This is one of the most entertaining and refreshing books that I have read in a long time. I hope she keeps writing.
I liked it so well I bought the series.
Pamela did an excellent job with the deveopment of this story and showed her knowledge of much of the subject material, particularly regarding wildlife and what should be more protected locations and venues.
enjoyed the story, however the description of the final scene left me confused as to where they were exactly.
