First came the director yelling, “Action!Next came the actual acting.Last came . . . the end scene.Or at least, that was what I liked to call my job as a publicist to Hollywood’s elite. If my client hit it big, I was the one who’d made that possible. And while being on call twenty-four seven meant I was chronically single, I was fine with that. I’d been in a serious relationship once and had … relationship once and had ultimately discovered that I wasn’t cut out for commitment or being tied down or living in a small town.
I needed lights and excitement, paparazzi and enough traffic that the air always smelled faintly of exhaust.
I definitely didn’t need one Aaron Weaver—my ex-boyfriend and current occupant of my former home and very, very small town in Utah—tying me down or making me feel like the world’s biggest jerk, just because I wanted my life to be something more than open fields and cow patties.
But then I had to leave L.A. and go home to my father, to my small town . . . to Aaron.
And I discovered there might be much more to him than I’d ever expected.
In fact, I discovered that I might have missed out on the best end scene of my life by letting him go at all.

This was a second chance romance and it had me in tears. Maggie’s dad was a dick to her and then she had to deal with Aaron being just as bad. I love how the author was able to bring them together without major groveling.
As far as I can tell, this is the first Elise Faber book I’ve read, and while it’s part of a series, I had no problem following the story as it’s completely standalone. A quarter of the way into this book and I’m wondering why I’m bothering. Yes, Maggie was interesting and the story was engaging. However, 2 of the major characters were the most unlikeable I’ve ever come across in a book and I really debated giving up. Luckily, given that one of those is Aaron, he went on to redeem himself. There is lots of emotion in this story and while at times I found the language to be a bit on the schmaltzy side, Maggie was quirky enough to keep me interested. This provides a satisfying HEA which also nicely wraps up some long lasting family heartache
Another cute story from an author that I’ve grown to love!
Elise Faber knows how to write second chance romances and End Scene is one that you’re definitely going to want to read. Aaron and Maggie had something many years ago and you feel the tension between them when Maggie returns home to see about her father who’s fallen. Maggie is a very strong-minded character that you will instantly love, but you know that something’s got to give between her and Aaron. As the two of them need to let go of the past and move forward, I’m not sure who I wanted to shake more–Maggie or Aaron. Both had their reasons for feeling they way they did, but it was time to work out their differences.
Overall, End Scene is a enjoyable read, but you have to be willing to deal with the emotions from the main characters until they finally can see what’s right there in front of them. A little angsty at times, but still a great romance about letting go of the past.
Faber knows how to tell a story and she’s a delight to read. Well-written and kept my attention from start to finish.
The books in this series are always a quick read they really pack a punch and I’m consistently impressed with how well-written this series is. Maggie and Aaron are unexpectedly given a second chance and are both a little reluctant due to their past. Their story hits you in the feels and then amps up the sexual attraction. I mean, every kiss was on the thermonuclear scale. I could not put this one down.
End of Scene is an emotional and heartwarming second chance story. Aaron and Maggie were childhood sweethearts, until Maggie left for LA. Maggie had always dreamed of living in LA, an exciting, big city. Unfortunately, she broke Aaron’s heart when she decided to move from their small town in Utah. When Maggie returns for a visit ten years later, she starts to question everything about her life.
Aaron and Maggie have never forgotten each other and they are good together. They needed time apart to appreciate what they have together. I enjoyed Aaron and Maggie’s story.
Thanks to the author for providing a copy of this book via Bend and Snap. The opinions expressed are my own.
I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is book 4 in a series and the only one I have read. That said I easily followed the story and so I think it can easily stand alone.
This is an awesome novella sized romance with a 2nd chance at love 10 years later. Maggie and Aaron were high school sweethearts but he loved their hometown and she hated it. She asks him to go with her but he refuses and so they have not seen each other in 10 years until he calls and tells her that her dad hurt himself.
She rushes home but her dad treats her so bad that she gets angry and tells Aaron off and makes him start to really look and think about their past and he decides he wants a 2nd chance…but does Maggie agree? Is she even single?
I adored this romance and loved every second of it.
This was a fantastic second chance romance! It was an emotional roller coaster ride with Maggie having to deal with her resentful father and her ex Aaron. Maggie and Aaron where high school sweethearts. Their wanted different things for their futures so they went their separate ways. Years later she goes back to take care of her father. Both her father and Arron were mad at her for leaving and didn’t want her there. Both Arron and Maggie share the blame for how their relationship ended. Will they be able to work through their past and figure out a way to move on to their future together?
I enjoyed getting to experiencing Maggie and Aaron rediscovering their love for each other! I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next in the Love, Camera, Action series!
I’ve read this series from the beginning and have been highly entertained by it at every turn. This second chance story between Aaron and Maggie is low on the angst but heavy on the heart. There’s the requisite amount of tension between our leads but it never feels conflict-heavy. It actually reads very realistically and I felt I could relate to both Aaron and Maggie very easily. I’d highly recommend this book to anyone!
Second chance at love.
Maggie left her hometown ten years ago, under a cloud of anger. Now she’s back and the last person she wants to see is right in front of her.
Aaron was mad at Maggie for leaving him behind a decade ago, now she’s here in his town and all he wants is for her to leave…
But, Maggie’s going nowhere, and as time passes, they start to find reasons as to why they fell in love the first place.
This was a gritty, second chance romance with a heart of gold and I heartily recommend it.
End Scene is Book 4 in the Love, Camera, Action series by Elise Faber. This is Aaron and Maggie’s story. This is a 2nd chance romance read that is sure to bring the feels and romance.
Aaron and Maggie grew up together and were high school sweethearts. Maggie ended up breaking Aaron’s heart when she left their small town behind for big city life. Maggie never hid her big city dreams from Aaron and thought he would come with her. Instead their love lay in shattered dreams. Now 10 years later, her dad is hurt and Maggie gets a call from the person she least expects letting her know all this- her ex, Aaron. Maggie jumps on a plan to Utah and then ends up not only getting hurt by her dad and his actions but by Aaron too.
Will Maggie ever quit paying for living her dreams? Will Aaron open up his eyes and see that their love is still there ? This is a semi-angsty read full of feels. Loved the emotions that jump of the pages. The ending did feel a tad rushed but overall great addition to the series.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ******
This was a great second chance romance. Maggie had left her home in Utah ten years ago and everyone she loved to follow her dreams. It left Aaron with a lot of anger and a broken heart. When Aaron calls to tell her that her father is hurt she heads home to face her past. When Aaron and Maggie’s see each other again the attraction and pull between is still there. Things aren’t easy for Aaron and Maggie, it’s emotional and heartbreaking, but they finally reach their happily ever after.
Really good second chance romance! I read it in one sitting.
Maggie left her home years ago, angry. Angry at her unfeeling father, angry at her circumstances. And when she left, she left behind her heart with Aaron. Now she’s back to care for her father and Aaron’s still there. And he’s angry at her. Angry at her for leaving him behind, wanting her to go back to her life in the big city. But Maggie being back makes her realize she never stopped loving Aaron, even though he treats her terribly at first, and that she needs to resolve things with her father. Is a second chance for her and Aaron possible?
Things were rough for Aaron and Maggie for most of this story. I felt so badly for Maggie. Her father was terrible, and never really got better. Aaron wasn’t any better to her for the longest time, and poor Maggie was just trying to do her best. Thank God Aaron took his head out of his ass and realized what he had with Maggie because otherwise I wouldn’t have enjoyed their story. It’s emotional and substantial, and sexy too. And added plus is that the secondary cast is really interesting, especially Talbot, whose story I’m anxiously awaiting.
This one is tricky to review…it was better than OK but it was not a great read. To tell you the truth the ending felt a bit rushed and not to well explained but the story itself was still enough to made me read it in one sitting.
Mags and Aaron had a past that was filled with pain and hurt. The second chance almost didn’t happen and I was glad to see them working out all the problems to have the HEA that was overdue.
With every book I read by Elise Faber I’m turning into a bigger fan and with the epilogue at the end I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next in this series.

This is the 4th book in this amazing series and is Maggie and Aaron’s story. These two were high school sweethearts, and each other’s firsts, but when Maggie left their small town to follow her dream’s of being a publicist for the Hollywood elite, and she left Aaron behind. Now 10-years later Aaron calls her to tell her dad’s is ill, so she returns home. Aaron is determined to get Maggie to leave again, but the chemistry between them is just as intense and explosive as it always was. Will they get a 2nd chance at love? This is a beautifully written tale which is raw, gritty, emotional, and with heartbreak, and love. I was captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend for all.
Maggie and Aaron get a second chance at love in this story from Elise Faber, and it’s a low-angst journey to their happily ever after.
A decade ago, Maggie broke Aaron’s heart, and when they are reunited, the find out that they still have a real connection that can’t be ignored. They take the time to get to know each other again, and they develop a real connection for the second time. Elise Faber writes them with compassion and emotion, and they really take the time to connect rather than just fall back into old habits and their old relationship.
This was a quick, light, enjoyable read.
End Scene, Elise Faber’s latest release is a sexy, sweet, second chance romance. Aaron and Maggie grew up together. They were high school sweethearts and shared all their firsts, including heartbreak…..
Maggie’s dreams took her out of their small town to Hollywood. She never hid her ambitions or plans from Aaron. Even though he knew, Aaron was not prepared for the moment when Maggie broke free and left.
Too young to understand that they never would have made it, both wear their pain like a badge of honor and hold on to their anger and resentment for almost a decade.
When circumstances bring them back into each other’s worlds, their feelings and attraction to one another is still there. Overcoming the obstacles standing in their way, Aaron and Maggie finally get their happily ever after. TBR and Enjoy.
Second chance romance that is sure to put the moves on your heart. Faber has a gift for turning human error into unforgettable stories. End Scene is a tale of past mistakes and new beginnings. Prepare to be lost in the moment with a good book and an irresistible romance.
I liked this intriguing and emotional read. This second chance romance provides an abundance of feels as this couple has to deal with their painful history, past mistakes, anger, resentment and those pesky buried feelings that still linger despite everything. Aaron and Maggie’s story puts your heart through the wringer as it unfolds. This is my independent, impartial review.
End Scene is a fantastic second chance romance. You feel all the pain and love between Aaron and Maggie. You feel for Maggie and her relationship with her father. She tries everything to get him to love her like she wants. Maggie is strong and knows what her dreams are. You feel such closer of the past when Maggie meets Aaron again after 10 years. There is still such a pull between Aaron and Maggie after all the years past. Aaron you get why he was so angry and hurt. There is such an ah ha moment that just brings this one to life. Aaron and Maggie are hot together and so sweet. Timing is everything and it is there time finally to shine together. I loved every moment of this one.
