He thought I owned him. He thought he loved me, that I was enough. But this animal, this sex god who could drive me crazy and steal my heart in the same breath, he would never fully be mine. It was impossible. No one ever owned a God… One year. I have one year to find out more about this man I am marrying. More about his family. More about our sex, and all of the dirty, delicious places it … of the dirty, delicious places it will take me.
I thought I’d spend this year making a decision. I never thought the decision would be taken from me, snatched right from my naive little hands.
The final book in the Innocence Trilogy.
more
End of the Innocence is the third and final installment in Alessandra Torre’s erotic/romance trilogy titled Innocence. I thought the addition of thriller/mystery elements was a surprise in the second book, but I obviously had know idea what Ms. Torre had up her sleeve! Ms. Torre had me glued to every page of this book and I loved it! This has been a great trilogy that I started out loving but honestly didn’t have high hopes for the long run. I was wrong. I don’t re-read many books, much less entire trilogies/series but all of these books were put right back on my list for a re-read. Alessandra Torre is a goddess. Have I said that yet? Check her out!!
My favorite quote:
“The horrific thing about having everything you wanted is the constant fear that it would all disappear.”
Alessandra Torre’s Innocence trilogy includes the following installments as of December 2016:
#1-Blindfolded Innocence
#1.5-The Diary of Brad De Luca
#2-Masked Innocence
#3-End of the Innocence
OH, WOW!
An exclamatory expression to start this review because these books are worthy of all exclamations possible!
The Innocence Series by @alessandratorre4 is quite different from all the books I’ve read in the genre. And yet, I LOVED IT SO FREAKING MUCH!
Brad De Luca and Julia Campbell are eccentric people who have an uncommon way of showing their feelings and emotions. They are so very different and very much the same.
While Brad is confident, skillful and sophisticated, Julia is young and full of life, willing to enjoy all experiences ahead of her. Just like Brad, Julia is not afraid of being herself and is faithful to who she is. That’s why she fits in his ‘world’ so perfectly.
The peculiarities of this story go from how they start their relationship to how they end up expressing their love for each other. They are the definition of MFEO and that’s what makes this story so captivating. Not to mention that THEY. ARE. SO. HOT. TOGETHER! Oh-em-gee!
I could have been indulged with a little more of romance… but hey! I’m a sucker for cheesy scenes, so you probably shouldn’t mind me that much.
Torre writes as if we had a girlfriend telling the story right beside us. I found myself reading out loud at times, out of pure joy and excitement. Secondary characters add a special touch to the story – I SO wish I had a Martha!
Also, the final chapters bring up a welcome suspense to the plot, which’ll probably have you bite your nails or at least hold your breath at some point. Kudos to that.
This was my first experience with Alessandra Torre and I’m definitely SURE it won’t be my last.
This story is unusually hot, sexy and entertaining.
Five-star read!
She is my sun, and everything else is bullshit.
I read the first 2 books in this trilogy eons ago. I put the finale off because – hmph, the sharing thing, it’s not for me and it clouds my judgement.
But Brad De fucking Luca is irresistible and I knew he would win me back.
For a big part of the book I regret to say, I thought it was a bit plotless. It is there though, an undercurrent to the lust.
Some times the writing seemed a bit clunky, but then Alessandra knocks it out of the park with “As a half moon rose over the city, casting its dusky glow equally over all areas, oblivious to zip code, property values, or social standing, dark activity bred.”
These books gave me a window into a world I will never see, nor want to see unless it’s on Tumblr or posted by one of my beloved TorreVille ladies. I love them heaps and Alessandra for bringing this group of like minded ladies together.
The best way to wake up is when your man wants to do naughty things, “I woke slowly, pulling myself out of sleep, aided by the warm sear of his skin against my bare back, the sigh of his breath against my hair, the thrust of his pelvis as he let me know he was up in the naughtiest way possible.” Brad he can be accommodating, well sometimes, “okay, so you don’t want to go to my father’s. Fine. What’s the deal with the ring? You don’t like it?” he had the never to look almost hurt. Almost. I don’t think anything could hurt this man’s ego.” I loved Brad, “but no one,” he growled, bringing his mouth down to my neck and teasing the curve of it, “will ever love you like I love you.” I haven’t read the first two books in the series (naughty me I know) and I was shockingly not lost while reading this book so props for that.
