#1 New York Times bestselling author David Baldacci returns with his most breathtaking thriller yet Will Robie and Jessica Reel are two of the most lethal people alive. They’re the ones the government calls in when the utmost secrecy is required to take out those who plot violence and mass destruction against the United States. And through every mission, one man has always had their backs: their … always had their backs: their handler, code-named Blue Man.
But now, Blue Man is missing.
Last seen in rural Colorado, Blue Man had taken a rare vacation to go fly fishing in his hometown when he disappeared off the grid. With no communications since, the team can’t help but fear the worst.
Sent to investigate, Robie and Reel arrive in the small town of Grand to discover that it has its own share of problems. A stagnant local economy and a woefully understaffed police force have made this small community a magnet for crime, drugs, and a growing number of militant fringe groups.
But lying in wait in Grand is an even more insidious and sweeping threat, one that may shake the very foundations of America. And when Robie and Reel find themselves up against an adversary with superior firepower and a home-court advantage, they’ll be lucky if they make it out alive, with or without Blue Man . . .

Not his best writing
Enjoy this authors style of writing.
Always love this series
Not up to his normal standard, particularly the dialogue.
Another great Baldacci book
One of his best!
David Baldacci always writes good stories. Unfortunately like many writers who turn out 2 or more books a years , there is a certain predictablity to his newer books. I still enjoy them and buy them but sometimes yearn for the writer who came up with totally original plots rather than a continuation of a character
Baldacci captivates and captures your attention from beginning to end, particularly when he is dealing with Will and Jessica. Have read all his books and they all are page-turners.
The type of book to Read & enjoy.
This book has just the right mix of good characters that we get to know enough about, enough but not too much description of characters, places etc., and he keeps the action moving. Never dull.
I was disappointed in this book. I have read all of Baldacci’s books, and have most admired his ability to tell a good story. Baldacci is a good mystery writer whose ability to tell the story has made each book well worth reading. This book missed the mark on being a good mystery and on being a good story. This book is trying to a Brad Thor book and does not work.
ANYTHING BALDACCI WRITES IS GREAT.
Great story with captivating plot twists
I love all of his books, but this one made no sense. I think someone else wrote it.
Story kept moving along at a good clip and kept my interest.
Not one pot Baldaccci’s best
I always enjoy the Baldacci books. We particularly enjoy them as audio books on long road trips.
This is an outstanding page-turner. If you like Lee Child’s Jack Reachee books you will like Baldacci’s Will Robue series.
Enjoyed it very much.
I have always been a David Baldacci fan. So I pick up each new book when it is released. But this one really blew me away. I really didn’t want to put it down. I kept wanting to see what happened next. I love seeing Robie and Reel teamed up. This story seemed so real, with all that is going on these days with splinter groups, etc. can’t wait to see where Balsacci goes next with these two. Fantastic read!
