This is the second book in the Black Stallion Ranch series and it is not a standalone. The story continues ten years after Lana’s initial visit to the Black Stallion Ranch. After the end of the first book, Infatuated, readers were left with a hole in their hearts for this young couple in love. Lana has been sent back as renovations are needed and Tristan has contracted with her company to do the work but did not expect to run into the man himself. Seeing Tristan again opens up old wounds for Lana and it takes everything in her to be the professional she is but she cannot help that the old feelings are resurfacing. Once again there are some miscommunications and untrue perceptions that threaten the possibility of rekindling their romance. Will Tristan and Lana be able to finally get on the same page and see where a relationship will take them or will the obstacles thrown in their path be too much to handle? If you love a good cowboy romance then this is one you want to add to your tbr shelf as Ms. Wild has done a spectacular job with the conclusion to this story.
This is the book 2 for the Black Stallion Ranch Duet. Cara did an amazing job completing the Duet and I got to learn what happened to Lana and Tristan.
Ten years later after the events of Infatuated, Tristan and Holden are finally at charge of the ranch and they decide to hire a design company to remodel the cabins. What are the odds when Lana appears there to do the job? Of all the ones they could possibly choose, they did the one where she works for.
It was kind of funny to read the shock when Tristan and Lana finally met again. And some secrets were finally revealed after 10 years: why Tristan broke up with Lana that time so abruptly? Who was the real villain? With whom Lana talked to during all this time? What happened to the ranch and Tristan’s parents? So many things we’ve got to learn!
I was really happy when they got back together, Tristan has to do a little groveling to win her back, but also I liked how both of them needed to learn how to deal with their long distance relationship since he lived in Wyoming and she in Boston. But also how to trust again, how to be loyal and respectful.
They both had to grown up a lot during this time. But I was kind of disappointed with Lana, she was always playing the victim. Not saying Tristan didn’t do things wrong, but he always asked for forgiveness. Lana? No, she did a couple of things wrong and never said sorry once, like hiding for more than 2 to 3 weeks her pregnancy and then keeping her “friendship” with Russ after all he did to break up the couple, like owww Tristan must had misunderstood the situation. If it was with me I would be VERY mad with her, VERY!
In the end they both got what they deserve, finally! Both was professionally fulfilled and got all the love and care in the world! The epilogue was so so so sweet it really made me happy. Now I would like to read Holden’s love story, he super deserves! What an awesome friend!
When Tristan and Lana step into each other’s lives again, he sees it as the chance to finally have his say, give his explanation for why he broke her heart 10 years ago. And perhaps a second chance is in order? But it’s looking grim considering Lana may be all woman now, but she’s a cold, angry woman and has no intentions of giving Tristan a second chance at breaking her heart like he did a decade previous. The chemistry is even more electric now, though, and it’s soon obvious these two are just begging to give in. Will Tristan be able to keep his promise this time or will he once again break her poor heart?
As second chance romances go, this one is pretty good. I like how hard they worked at coming back together, and the little surprise twist in circumstances they’re presented with, and I liked both Tristan and Lana. All in all, a sexy, emotional second chance love story.
Finally, we get the rest of Tristan and Lana’s story! We left Lana heartbroken, after the best two weeks of her life at the Black Stallion Ranch. She met Tristan, fell in love for the first time, and then Tristan shattered her heart.
Lana picked herself up, dusted herself off, and carried on with her life. After finishing college, she now has a job with an architectural design firm. When her boss gives her an assignment to remodel and build new cabins for the Black Stallion Ranch, Lana will have to face Tristan again.
There’s nothing I love better than a second chance, so I was glad to see Tristan and Lana get theirs. There certainly were some twists and bumps on their horse trail to forever, but it was all worth it in the end. Now that the second half of their story is here, you can get the first half of the duet and read their story straight through, if you haven’t already. If you love a tough but sensitive cowboy, a strong, independent heroine and a touching second chance romance, you’ll love Lana and Tristan’s story!
This is the 2nd and concluding part of Tristan and Lana’s story, and what an amazing tale this is. This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with undeniable chemistry, heartbreak, and is humorous which all leads to an all-round entertaining and steamy read. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I highly recommend for all readers.
Lana and Tristan’s story continues. Now ten years later, what will happen when these two see each other again? Will they fall into each others arms or will they end up heartbroken? Loved this book. It summed everything up really well!! Hope that there is more from the Black stallion Ranch!!
Enamored takes place ten years after Infatuation, and brings Lana and Tristan together again. I loved reading the continuation of their story, and following them as they discover some truths and worked things out. This series has helped me become a Cara Wade fan and I look forward to reading more from her.
What an awesome way to end the series!! Finally a male character that wants his white picket fence and going after the girl he wants! After so many ups and downs I was rooting for Tristan & Lana and happy they found their happy ever after! Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down it was such a refreshing story about young love that developed into mature love!!
I have been dying to return to Black Stallion Ranch! Infatuated left me an emotional wreck and so did a majority of Enamored. This book was an emotional rollercoaster and I loved every single moment. You’ll want to read Infatuated first, because Enamored is a continuation of the Tristan and Lana’s story.
Ten years after Lana left Black Stallion Ranch her job is wanting to send her right back to the very place where she experienced heartbreak. She takes the risk, but things turn sour the moment she see’s Tristan again. Tristan is shocked to see Lana, again. He never expected to see her again, let alone back at the place they first met.
Despite everything that went down and the ten years apart there is still massive amounts of chemistry between Tristan and Lana. I loved that Lana tried to hate Tristan, she tried not to want him, but she just couldn’t. She was instantly drawn to him again. Truths are slowly revealed. They continue to reconnect and sparks continue to fly like the fourth of July.
Enamored was everything I wanted and more for Tristan and Lana. The Black Stallion Ranch duet is a MUST READ! If you love cowboy romances definitely check this one out!
This story continues 10 years after the break up. It started out great and I was really enjoying myself but then by the middle of it, the story lost some of its magic and by the end of it I found it (just) an OK read. I’m not sure what happened I just felt like the couple lost the connection I felt since the beginning. I think it’s boils down that I’m having trouble believing that with the hurt and mistrust they both have, relationship between the MCs would stand the test of time.
I’m kinda sad that this didn’t live up to my expectations because I really liked the first book and it pains me to say that I’m giving this 3.5* rating.

Ten long years have passed since Tristan and Lana have seen each other. A lot has happened to both of them since that fateful day that was the beginning of the end of their budding relationship, some for the better and some for the worse. Lana fulfilled her dream of becoming an architect and is making a name tor herself in that field. Tristan on the other hand has faced many challenges both personally and professionally and is trying hard to get ahead. One thing that they both share is that neither has been able to forget the other or what they had together. When fate lands Lana in Wyoming to work on Tristan’s family’s ranch expansion the sparks fly. Although desperate for one another neither is able to overlook their past, that is until they realize the series of unfortunate events that kept them apart. Ultimately neither one is able to deny their feelings or the off the charts attraction that brings them together again and again. “Enamored” Book 2 of Cara Wade’s Black Stallion Ranch Duet is a fitting conclusion to this great second chance romance read. TBR and enjoy both Book 1 “Infatuated” and this Book 2 “Enamored”.
Watching Tristan and Lana come back together after ten years is a powder cage waiting to explode, and explode it does. You can see the hurt feelings of their two weeks together is still just as fresh as if it had been a day ago instead of a decade. Every question you have left the first book is answered in a spectacular fashion. I actually found my jaw hitting the floor for some of these revelations. It’s a great way to close out there story.
As much as I wanted to give this a four-star review, there is one key scene early on in the book that tainted the majority of my opinion of it from that moment on. I could forgive Tristan using his key to get into Lana’s cabin without an invitation. I was not completely okay with it, but I could have forgiven it. Him not only staying but walking into the bathroom when he heard the shower running set off a thousand alarm bells in my head. This is stalkerish behavior. This, along with a few other things, convinced me that their relationship is not a healthy one. So I couldn’t cheer for them n this book the way I did in the first one.
This book picks up ten years after book one and I liked that. Lana and Tristan both had some growing up to do from their eighteen yr old selves in book one. Lana’s work brings her back to Black Stallion Ranch that is now run by Tristan and Holden. She tried to get out of the project but since she already had ranch designs in her interior design portfolio her boss thinks she’ll be perfect for the assignment. Tristan thinks it’s her boss coming and gets the surprise of his life when the girl he let get away steps out of the truck. She wants nothing to do with him so he has a tough road ahead of him to win her back. I won’t spoil to much of the storyline. There were some roadblocks that came up (including characters that caused trouble In book 1) but no over the top drama. I don’t think I’m spoiling anything by saying they did get their perfect HEA ending.
I enjoyed this duet and hopefully we will get another sexy cowboy book from Black Stallion Ranch. (Holden please!)
