I really enjoyed this book. In this book I really started to love the supporting characters. I was rooting for Elide the whole time and I really liked the story arc that Manon had. I think my favorite background character was Asterin. She is awesome. The ending of this book left me reeling. I am writing this review after reading the next book as well, and I really am not sure how Sarah J. Maas can wrap everything up in book 7. But I can’t believe I have to wait several months for the last one to come out. I didn’t like Dorian’s arc in this book, and I didn’t care much for Aelin and Rowan’s relationship, but everything else was very fun. I can’t wait for the last book to come out.
The reason why I say happily ever after is because 2 characters get together, but the rest of this book is NOT really a happily ever after. It is an amazing installment to the series.
Oh this book is very, very good. From scheming, fights, love, to long lost truths, and some amazing surprises draw in the book lover to provide hours of entertainment and escape from reality. The world is multi-dimensional and the characters are believable and likable. The story contains love making scenes that are not suitable for anyone under the age of 16. I have this story in ebook & audiobook formats. If you choose the audiobook, the narrator did a great job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene.
🙁 Tragic, a tear-jerker, but GREAT. READ IT. I mean, Cairn deserves to die…
This book was a whirlwind of emotions. I did not think that I could feel so many emotions all in one book. There were so many twists and turns and just when you think things couldn’t get better (or worse honestly) they did! You will finish this book with your mouth wide open because you won’t believe the way it ends, nothing will prepare you for it. I cannot wait until the last installment in October.
Love the author, Sarah J. Maas. Love the series
Absolutely loved this book!
Incredible story, very well put together, and action packed!
This is my favorite book so far (I am hoping I will like the next and final book in this series more). Empire of Storms is the 5th book in the Throne of Glass series. Even though this is the fifth book, though, it could not be farther from the first book. It never ceases to amaze me when there is a new reveal that catches me 100% off-guard. Yes, when I go back and reread the book for the sixth time I see all the signs, but the first time I read it, I was cometely caught up and enthralled with the whole story. Aelin is such an inspirational female character, as are the many other powerful females in this story. I think Sarah Maas does a phenomenal job empowering women and altogether diminishing gender roles, though she does it in a realistic way that does not by any means diminish masulinity or inappropriately encapture femininity.
