I highly recommend this book by Dayne Edmondson! You won’t want to put it down!
This reads like the script for a horrible B-movie that nobody wants to make. The dialog is stiff and awkward. The basic plot is a good idea, but the execution is juvenile at best. At its worst, this book should have been thrown into the garbage the first time someone tried to read it.
I was fascinated. It was a compelling study in the way technology makes people and civilizations dependent upon it and complacent within it, slowing the ability to recognize it’s limits with disastrous consequences.
The characters are at turns, hilariously droll, deadly serious, and all too human when confronted with the truth of the boogeyman they were frighted by as children, are all too real, and are at your door.
It’ll be interesting to see how humanity further adapts to having to go back to low-tech solutions and magic to beat an enemy that was believed only a myth.
Great start of the series, hard to put down!
great read
Fast paced and a page turner. Sort of ends in a cliffhanger though
Exciting and I like the eternals but I found it a little hard to follow with the many shifts from location to location.
thrilling read
This book had a great premise, but fell short for me in execution. It is very one dimensional, like it was based on a video game or a comic book.
Space ships with mages!
Enjoyable Science Fiction adventure with a little magic thrown in!
Excellent galaxy action book.
Scjence fiction and magic do not bkend wekk in this book.
Not normally a fan of Sufi, but this book is pulling me in deeper.
Well written with action packed scenes that make this book hard to put down.
Enjoy…mrbrush
If you want a mix of science fiction and a world of magic this could be the book for you. Earth Federation is beaten by aliens so the mages sent 7 arc ships back in time to develop a society advanced enough to defeat the aliens only to find that this doesn’t do it … why you ask? Well you’ll have to read the book to find out.
It is a good read. I don’t know if I want to finish the series though. Maybe some day
A world has been created that the mind can live in. Very delightful.
Good read. Sound science fiction with some familiar elements — civilization descended from Earth eons ago, insect-like invaders, time-travel — but pulled together in a unique and engaging way. Just finished 1st book in trilogy. Holding off a higher rating until I read how all the cliff hanging elements are resolved (or not) in the remaining 2 books.
Good intro to universe. I would have liked a little more story.
It was a pretty good book!
