Hanasaki ravages the Blooming Courts of Tuatha. . .The louloudi are meant to flourish for a thousand years before they return to the Earth. Death has been a distant foe for so long, no one spares it any thought. Until now. As sickness sweeps through the kingdom, with the cure always just out of reach, the courts have never been filled with so many blossoms. Even in death, they breathe life. Ila’s … breathe life.
Ila’s season comes to a screeching halt when every Shadow she’s ever feared comes to light. Blessings have fallen into her lap, but Ila is starting to feel like she’s cursed.
Ila must find her way through the darkness or learn to live with it. She never realized how much pain lived in her world. She certainly never realized that it would be a constant companion on her travels.
Tuatha is on the brink of war and the Blooming Courts are at risk of falling to the Orchidasi Queen. Ila is determined to bring peace to the realm, but she never knew the costs.
When the storm rages, Ila must rage in return.
After all, the courts aren’t the only things that must bloom. . .

Liked it a lot
This is the kind of series that gets better, and makes more sense, as the books move on. From book 1 to here, the characters have grown, the world has fully been established and events are finally starting to gel into a cohesive picture that is as engrossing as it is entertaining. Can’t wait to see how this all wraps up in book 5! Because that end? Ugh
Oh my gosh! So much happens in this book, right from page one it was like hanging on to a speeding bullet as it tore through walls and skin and muscle and bone, hearts and feelings barely slowing down until the very end. Despite the heartache and discord, this book was also very satisfying with several things that have been building through the series finally revealed. Book 4 definitely builds to a deafening crescendo, leading to what I suspect will be an epic and long anticipated battle in the next and final book. I’m going to be sad when this series ends.
This series is getting better and better and I have no idea how the authors do it, but this is one of my favourite series of all times. I will be so sad to read the next book, and say goodbye to some of the best characters ever created.
But I have to warn you, this is probably the most heartbreaking one in the series. The authors did such an amazing conveying all kinds of emotions, especially the sad ones, I felt like my heart will explode from pain and grief and love. Wow, just wow!
As Ila seeks refuge from the events that started at the end of the previous book, a lot is changing in her personal life, and it seems that everything happens at once, love, more love, loss, love, friendship, betrayal, new alliances, interpersonal tension, and some more love. This is definitely the most emotional of the books so far, and the one where Ila’s personal growth is most obvious. What started as an adventure of a spoiled princess, becomes a life-changing journey of the future queen.
There are so many incredible characters in this series, I love them all. I am also angry with some of them, but I still love them because they are so well created, developed and evolved. But I have to mention that the animals are the bestest. I want Queenie for myself!
And the world… Oh, it only gets better the further they travel into Tuatha. The incredible plants, animals, colours, all brought so close to the reader by the authors’ vivid descriptions. With every book I feel more and more embedded into that world, and it is hard to accept, once the book is finished, that the world is not real and that i’m not actually there with the characters.
I am highly anticipating and at the same time dreading the next book. I want to know what happens but I don’t want to say goodbye to Tuatha and the beautiful Louloudi I fell in love with. I want to stay there forever.
Books need to be read in order: Resurrect: A High Fantasy Reverse Harem (The Blooming Courts Book 1), Sprout: A High Fantasy Reverse Harem (The Blooming Courts Book 2), Flourish: A High Fantasy Reverse Harem (The Blooming Courts Book 3), Emerge: A High Fantasy Reverse Harem (The Blooming Courts Book 4), Blossom: A High Fantasy Reverse Harem (The Blooming Courts Book 5).
You know that weird place you get to in a series where you don’t ever want it to end but you know it has to? You know nothing last forever and all good things come to an end…. Well thats where I am.
Emerge is the 4th book in a 5 book series and i’ve read every single one (thats currently out), and every single time i’m left needing the next book, NEEDING to know what happens next in this world. With all the twists and turns and heartache, the friendships made and lost. I hope in the end Ila ends up with some type of happy.
Yet again the authors did an amazing job!!! Just when you thought there couldn’t be more layers to the characters and that you knew the world there was more building and expanding. I felt the entire spectrum of possible feeling all the way from excitement and sizzle, to anger and sadness it seriously hit everything. It kept me guessing about what was coming next and when it was over I found myself needing to know what happens next, but not ready for the end of this adventure.
omg, this series is fabulous!!!
I think this is my favorite one in this series. This is a journey of love, hate, and betrayal. This book will move you, jerk you, and make you cry. Then turn right around and put a smile on your face. This is an amazing story with such awesome characters. You have action, adventure, danger, and so much heat coming off the pages, it fogged my glasses. Come meet Ila and all her mates. This is a five star, please read and enjoy
I just knew when I picked this one up it was going to be an emotional ride! I cried, laughed, maybe even yelled at the characters…yes I think that did happen. Poppy and Kendra did an amazing job with this world and each book pulls me further and further in. This is one of those series that you cannot just put down. Can’t wait to find out how the plots play out.
This next installment in the blooming court series brought out the emotions right from the start. My heart barely had a second of relief the entire time I read this book. So many secrets and betrayals come to light in this book and it causes some very explosive scenes. This book is by far my favorite in the series and I can’t wait to see how Poppy and Kendra wrap this amazing journey up.
I am so in love with this series!!!! I could not put it down, and as expected, this book was another roller coaster of emotion for me. I laughed. I cried. I felt the need to jump into the pages in defense of Ila against the threats she faces; to guard her against the betrayals. I don’t think I have ever read a series that was written so seamlessly, with so much true imagination and heart. It is truly a 10 star worthy series. Alas, the powers that be will only let me leave it five.
Ila is such a strong female and I love that she’s not afraid to show her vulnerability. Her men, ahhhh, her men. Where do we even begin? Her men complete her in a way that would make anyone swoon.
This book left me with more questions and a little bit of anger at the cliffhanger. I’m hopeful that the mysteries will be brought to light and that everything will work out. Now for the wait until the next book releases.
