***Seaside Embrace

A frenemies, reformation of a playboy and an in-laws to more steamy romance with errotic scenes. Metal artist Hunter and Dance instructor/boxer/waitress Jana hook up despite their siblings advice. However, despite their mutual desire to remain unattached, they find themselves continually drawn to each other causing Jana to question her feelings and Hunter’s purpose. Side stories include the progressive lives of the Seaside Group including their infants, a twist to the Bella and Theresa pranks, and Hunter’s coworker’s rocky marriage.
***Seaside Lovers

I purchased a copy of the steamy novel Seaside Summers book 7: Seaside Lovers: by Melissa Foster and this review was given freely.
A complex steamy story of loss, family and love mixed with the loving interference and acceptance of the Seaside ladies. A year of corresponding turns to love for the third Lacroux sibling, metal artist Grayson and California actress Parker.
***Seaside Whispers
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the steamy novel Seaside Summers book 8: Seaside Whispers: Matt and Mira by Melissa Foster and this review was given freely.
A fitting conclusion to the Lacroux family Seaside romances containing a wonderful group of friends, some humor and a lot of steamy scenes. Dissatisfied Princeton professor Matt takes a sabbatical in Seaside to write a book, celebrate the triple wedding of his siblings, help try to save his father’s hardware store, and to have a closer relationship with both his family and the woman he fantasizes about, his father’s employee, single mother Mira.
Usually a love life follows somehow a regular path; a look, a flirt, a date, a bond that makes lovers sometimes soulmates. But, what if we got it all wrong?
Jana Gardner has a hectic busy life but she loves it. She has a passion for dancing, acting on stage and boxing. She teaches dance classes and pretty much runs the studio where she is employed. All she needs besides her busy schedule is fun time, a fierce lover with no strings attached; no time nor desire for a complicated love life.
Hunter Lacroux is a talented artist that owns a shop with his brother. He is a sexy strong charming A- listed lover that loves women. No matters of the heart are in his plans; he takes and leaves.
When the two collided, they found their perfect match; all fun, all sex and no funny feelings or any commitments. Both their worlds revolve around their friends, family, passion for their jobs and an insatiable sex drive.
But what happens when you’re all hot and bothered over each other and then suddenly your heart plays tricks on your mind and mingles with your fun time?
Once again Addison brings us to the dreamy life at the Cape and I was happy to get a glimpse of how the lives of the Seaside Girls had change. As I read along I couldn’t stop myself from being excited and curious about how Jana and Hunter were to react as their worlds got turn upside down.
Can’t wait for Grayson and Parker’s story!
Fear is the driving factor in Hunter and Jana’s relationship. Behind closed doors, their attraction takes free reign, but in the real world the risk seems too great of a cost. Past hurts have made prickly, independent Jana afraid to trust her instincts. Hunter is both the best and worst of her fears brought to life. He’s rough around the edges, but brings beauty into her once dark and lonely world. He also forces her to face some hard truths about herself. Her heart yearns for a soft place to land and Hunter is the cushion intent on breaking the fall. Embraced at Seaside is a multi-faceted, flawed, courageous and steamy quest into the abyss of love.
I adored Embraced At Seaside!!
It is a sexy, funny, & touching book.
The story is about Jana & Hunter,
who live life, by their own rules.
Both avoiding commitment. Except,
when you least expect, that special someone, walks into to your life.
Jana & Hunter’s lives are full. With
their friends, family, & work. When
Jana & Hunter meet at the opening of Sky’s shop, all they did is clash with
each other. Later that night, was a different story. Their connection is undeniable. Off the chart chemistry!!
I really enjoyed reading this book, with relatable characters that just unfolded beautifully.
A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!!!
I am loving this Sweet with Heat series! Hunter and Jana are perfect for each other if only Jana would open her heart to the opportunity. I can relate to the fear of being hurt or being the one to hurt because you aren’t so sure or are scared to be open. I found myself frustrated with Jana to just open up but I had the privilege of being in Hunter’s mind so I knew he was going to be true to his word, unlike Jana needing to trust him. A heartwarming read for your next beach vacation!
I love being transported to Seaside where it is always sunny, sandy and romantic, sand being swept away for a few hours from the dreary weather outside.
In this instalment we get the seriously hot Hunter Lacroux and feisty Jana Garner’s story. They have a habit of hooking up with each other but when Hunter decides he wants it to be more than a hookup not only does that scare the notorious player but it scares Jana too. She has had a string of bad relationships and she doesn’t want ruin what they have going on by making it a relationship.
But they give in and discover that their friends with benefits status becomes so much more, and they learn how to make a relationship work together.
Addison takes Hunter and Jana’s story and makes it hot and steamy without the action making this a clean romantic read.
This was the story of Hunter and Jana. Hunter is an amazingly talented artist who works with his brother making custom metal sculptures. Hunter has always been a player. He’s never been a one woman kind of guy and he doesn’t do relationships. Then there’s Jana. She was hurt by guys she dated when she was younger and has decided that she’s not cut out for relationships. She likes to live life to the fullest. She loves her job as a dance instructor, she enjoys boxing with her brother, and she misses her time at the theatre and hopes to get back to it someday. With everything going on in her life, the last thing she has time for is men. But for some reason, whenever Jana and all her friends get together, including Hunter, she always ends up going home with Hunter. They start off bickering over just about any topic, but end up tearing up the sheets by the end of the night! Over time, Hunter realizes that Jana is different than anyone else he’s ever known and that his feelings for her are more than just friendship. Jana doesn’t make it easy for him though. She’s so worried about getting in a relationship and having it end badly, that she fights Hunter at every turn. But Hunter doesn’t give up easily. He realizes that what they have is worth fighting for.
This was such a great story. The relationships between not only Jana and Hunter, but all their siblings and friends, was sweet, sexy, and a whole lot of sass all rolled into one. I would definitely recommend reading this book. You’ll probably want to read the whole series when you’re done!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Let me introduce you to Hunter Lacroux. He is a player who doesn’t want a relationship. Until he hooks up with Jana one too many times and feelings start to change. Then Jana gives him a challenge that he can’t walk away from. I LOVE the romance. I LOVE the sunrises, sunsets, dinners, and everything else that comes with romance. Addison Cole is so talented in writing these romantic, sweet, and a little steamy scenes.
Addison Cole is also amazing with her friendships. The Seaside Girls are amazing. They are the best of friends, more like sisters. When push comes to shove these girls will talk about your love life, help you solve the worlds (or Seaside’s) problems, and lift you up when things are tough. These are the type of friends that everyone wants and once you find them you never let go.
I am a fan of the Sweet with Heat series. With each book I get introduce to a new story, I get to catch up with my favorites from other books in this series, and I get to fall for a new book crush. This is a series that I look forward to more from, I get excited when I hear a new book is coming soon, and I devour each books as soon as I get my hands on it.
Pick up your copy. NOW. Meet these amazing Seaside characters and fall in love with these characters.
Jana Garner has me comparing her to Laila Ali or Ronda Rousey. One thing that impressed me is how she has to juggle so much but you can see her passion for what she wants. Before even meeting Hunter LaCroux, you can tell he’s going to be a “bad” boy. Then once you do meet him, you know it’s true. He certainly keeps Jana on her toes. Loved how he put a spin on things instead of taking her at her word.
It was fun to watch how Hunter operates. He confuses Jana but also confuses himself. Almost as if he has no choice but doesn’t understand why. This is one more book that had me wishing that I were there. I want to be on that beach watching this group and see the love that they all have for each other. They all support one another and love doing pranks – just because you’re past a certain age doesn’t mean you have to give up on having fun.
The author has written a note to her readers and it’s one you should read – yes, I used to be one of those that skipped anything at the beginning just to get to the story. She’ll let you know which book that she recreated. I’m sure it had to be tough because as I was reading this, and with Hunter being such a bad boy, you could see how tough it was for him to hold things in. But it also left me wanting to compare the two just to see if I could figure out how the author was able to accomplish this.
I love how she always gets me to laugh and by having the two books I can laugh along with Jana and Hunter twice as much. The perfect triple threat is when you add in the audiobook version. Now that summer is one day closer that just makes this the perfect storm. Sometimes I can’t get to the beach but now that I have a fire pit, I can sit by my fire and read this series from beginning to end. But when you get to the end of this book, you’ll see that our author isn’t done yet because with next month comes the next book.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
This book definitely has the sweet, as well as the heat. Jana and Hunter are sometimes too much alike. Neither is looking for a relationship, but when they get together sparks fly, in more ways than one. Then, Hunter starts to romance her. . . I loved this book. I really enjoyed reading it, and listening to it. The narrators, Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden really do a fantastic job, bringing a great story by Addison Colr to life in the audiobook. Whether you read it, listen to it, or both, I highly recommend it.
Embraced at Seaside is the eighth book in the Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers series. Jana and Hunter really are meant to be together. But will they see it that way? I loved their story. I highly recommend this book.
Jana and Hunter are great hook up buddies, but Jana always seems to be drunk and she sneaks away before Hunter wakes up. Hunter has had enough! And he is ready to make Jana his girlfriend. You know, that word Commitment!! Now he has to convince Jana!
Jana is commitment shy after a bad experience with a boyfriend years earlier. She doesn’t do relationships! However, it’s getting harder to resist everything Hunter throws at her in the challenge of romance! Jana thought telling Hunter to romance her would have him running in the opposite direction!
Hunter’s best friend is having issues in his marriage. He and Hunter both need to figure out what their women want! But the more Hunter tries, the more Jana falls for him.
I loved the previous books in this series, but it seems, every one surpasses the previous! This book has it all! Sexual tension, sweet romance, dreams of the future, laughs, strong friendships and pranks gone wrong. You really can’t go wrong with this book!
I was provided with an ARC of this book and I am providing my honest review. I have received no compensation of any kind from any source for this review.
Melissa Foster has done it again. Her stories pull you right into the plot and her characters are complex & believable. The central characters in this story are Jana Garner, a waitress/dance instructor/female boxer and Hunter Lacroux, a metal sculptor/artist. Jana and Hunter hang around with the same group of friends and seem to manage to date occasionally. Jana is frustrated with her life. Her boss at the dance studio has been out of town setting up another location and leaving all of the administrative & marketing chores along with her teaching. She is training for a boxing match & is in emotional turmoil from her relationship with Hunter.
Hunter runs Grunter’s Ironworks, a metalworking business with his brother Grayson. He is in the process of designing an entry for the sculpture portion of a beautification project in town. His friends Clark & Nina are having some marital issues and so Clark is rooming with Hunter on a temporary basis. As Hunter tries to counsel Clark and help him see the marriage is worth saving, he begins to have stronger feelings towards Jana. Jana actually ends up being the inspiration for his sculpture. He just has to get beyond his reputation and Jana’s feelings that she doesn’t deserve more.
This book is another great installment of the Seaside Summers series. All of these books can be read as stand alones but the same cast of characters show up off and on in all of them. Melissa keeps you so involved in all of their lives that you feel like they are real. I can’t wait for Grayson’s story!
I loved this book. It was a little steamier the others in the series. I do love that each book has different levels of heat based on the characters personalities and chemistry.
I love the way that Hunter realizes what he has with Jana, and despite all her protests that she isn’t good at being a girlfriend, he just lets her be who she is. They’re both stubborn, and they both played around a lot before they came together. It was great seeing so much more of characters from the other books of the series come together to help out Hunter and Jana.
Addison Cole’s Embraced at Seaside doesn’t follow the typical romantic storyline. The reader quickly learns that the two main characters are friends with benefits. Jana Garner and Hunter Lacroux’s journey towards happiness isn’t easy; it’s hard won. The author creates an honest, relatable story for the characters as they test the commitment and relationship waters.
The author descriptive writing style enables the reader to understand the deep emotional connection and the all consuming passion that the couple shares. Loved that Hunter accepted Jana’s challenge to romance her! Their first date watching the sunrise on the beach was perfectly written. …. And so romantic! After reading this scene, I was hoping Jana would relent and date Hunter!
The dialogue in the story is fabulous—the author is able to blend in lots of humor into the story while keeping the conversations funny, challenging and honest. I could relate to Jana’s fear of putting herself out there after being hurt so many times. Loved the conversations between Hunter and his friend Clark. Although Hunter was a good friend to Clark during Clark’s separation; he could not understand why Clark would consider walking away his wife and son. This secondary plot was subtly woven into the storyline as Hunter and Jana were feeling their way through their new relationship. I noticed the difference between the two couples. Hunter was determined to be there for Jana while Clark’s commitment to his marriage waivered.
Hunter expresses his love for Jana in so many different ways. Jana is muse – she inspired his metal sculpture and challenges him to be a better, stronger man. I liked that Jana was strong willed and yet, very vulnerable. She was afraid to give herself over to love and almost missed her opportunity with Hunter. The last few chapters in the book are emotional, beautifully written and very heartwarming. I cried when Jana finally got it—Hunter loved and accepted her for herself—when she saw his sculpture.
Embraced at Seaside is a fabulous read with all the feels. The author keeps the characters true to themselves in this sweet with (hot) heat romance. The relationship between the couple kept me invested in the story. I adored that Hunter accepted Jana’s challenge to romance her. I knew when Hunter looked up How to be Romantic on the internet that Embraced at Seaside was going to be a fabulous read!
