I loved reading Embrace of the Vampires.. it is so exciting and full of action.
Piper Billings hired on as a maid to clean up after a house of Vampires… The Durrand Vampires to be exact.
In book 3 Piper becomes a Vampire servant to the Oldest Vampire in the Durrand house. It was to protect her from the Master Vampire Borris while the Durrand brothers and Piper went back home. Borris is one very bad and evil Vampire that gives Piper the creeps. Winn one of the Durrand brothers sacrifices himself to stay behind in order to keep Piper safe.
Book 4 Embrace of the Vampires picks up where book where book 3 leaves off. Piper loves her boys/Vampires is all I can say. I loved reading this book and can’t wait to read the next book.
This is book 4 in the House of Durand series. Piper and her Vampires have returned home. Unfortunately Wynn had to stay behind with Boris. Piper is very upset because she believes it is her fault that Wynn sacrificed himself for her. Antoine devises a plan to rescue Wynn. Not only must they fight and defeat Boris and his underlings but they must defeat the vampire hunters out to stake them. This book was full of action and suspense that kept you on the edge of your seat. Piper has become a full member of the Durand family. She is learning to love and care for them all. Even Marcus is beginning to slightly soften toward Piper. The interactions between Piper and her vampires is entertaining and fun. There are tender and passionate scenes that make all the characters fit well together. This story was very enjoyable. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. And each of the Durands are realizing what Piper means to them individually as well as a family unit. As they gather information and start their rescue missions they face danger, betrayal, set ups, lies, torture and a bit of pleasure. Fun read. I really enjoy this series

I absolutely love this series
Wynn sacrificed himself for Piper and now she and the other five are doing what they can to find out where he is. Piper will have to step up and do something not only against her comfort zone, but something that could hurt and maybe traumatize her. But she is determined to do what she can to get Wynn back. But getting him back is just a step in their independence. They have to kill the boy’s master also and he is very powerful. This is a continuation of the last book. I have to say, this is getting more interesting. You have one female Piper that is attached to the brothers. They have lots of drama and action. They have to protect what is theirs (Piper) at all cost while trying to save another member of the brother’s. You don’t have to worry about not having nothing not interesting happening in this series, that is for sure. Grab the first one and read on. You will enjoy this.

This book has some unique characters. Each of the vampires have a special talent. A family of vampires must save one of their members from their brutal sire. Along the way their klutzy, somewhat idiotic with no sense of self preservation, but with a good heart maid/human servant, Piper have graphic steamy interludes. I believe that this book would be most enjoyable if you read the previous book first. If you want a titillating vampire story, then this book is for you. In that context, I would recommend it.

Im completely gripped with this series. Book 4 continues you quickly from the last book with the fallout of Wynn giving himself up to their Master. Its as fast paced and full of tension like the other books in the series. Theres so much going on in it that to put it all down in this review would give away too much of the plot. Just to say its full of steam, a few laughs and drama. Making its a cracking read that im loving reading
What a great fourth book in the series! It is packed with plenty of action and steamy scenes! I cannot wait to read the fifth book to find out what happens next to Piper and her vampires!

This is book four of the House of Durand series and sees the Durand brothers be one less, after the recent disastrous visit to their sire Boris and his aides Valentine and Theresa. He has damaged all of the brothers in one way or another, physically and mentally, before they managed to break away and set up their own house. Now one of their number, Wynn, has been left behind, as payment for their actions, as none were willing to allow Boris and his cohorts to lay their hands on Piper, especially with the fascination Valentine had for her. It was a deadly game of pretending to play along with their sire’s sick games and demands, without going too far. Everyone has ended up damaged in some way, but Piper is the one who is taking the loss of one of the brothers, one she was close to, really badly. Only Rayne is able to console her, as she cries herself to sleep. She blames Antoine for what happened and says they never should have left one of them behind, but she doesn’t know just how sick Boris can get.
Piper goes into overdrive in her cleaning jobs, trying to tire herself out, so she might be able to sleep each night, as the other brothers make plans to get their brother back. Only problem is that Boris knows they are going to come for their brother and he has disappeared from his normal haunts and numerous homes. Nobody is talking and he could be anywhere in the world by now. Only one vampire offers them a hint of where Boris might be, but it comes with a price. The Durand’s must attend his club, an infamous club for vampires and debauchery, if they want to hear what information he holds. Plans are to leave Piper at home with Rayne, whilst the rest go to the club, but she is having none of that! But she doesn’t really understand what her position as a house servant bound to Antoine, really means to other vampires and what danger she will be in, in a vampire only club. Antoine points out some of the things she might have to do, to prove she belongs to the family and to ensure no other vampire touches her. It also includes how she must behave or speak, which are not exactly her most controlled aspects of her personality!
But even a simple desire for information turns into a nearly deadly event, as a power play is in effect and Antoine is being conned and delayed, whilst the rest of his family and Piper are in danger. Luckily, Marcus returns just as the brothers are snowed under and comes to their rescue, turning the tide just at the right moment. Still, to get the information they originally came for, there is a price to pay. Whilst the club owner suggests one option, Piper volunteers to pay the price he wants, but it will bring more pain than she could ever imagine. Once they have this information, they will have to work out if it is true and whether to follow it or not. Boris likes to play games and he will have left lots of misinformation behind, to try and cover his tracks. A dream connecting two of the players, brings a vital clue to his whereabouts, but also leads them into the very origins of vampires and a town full of the oldest vampires around. Any moves they make could be deadly, especially when there is talk of vampire hunters being in the area.
Piper is going to be pushed well out of her comfort zone on these trips, seeing some of the worst that vampires do to each other, but also to their human hosts or slaves and servants. The Durand’s realise that unless they kill their sire, they will never be free from his demands on them. She gets closer to the one brother who has never really bothered with her, nor felt she was an important part of their family dynamic. She also ends up having to stay with the twins, whilst the rest hunt for Boris. A little known fact, is that is a hunter sees one of them, they will be able to track them down anywhere, meaning they can’t leave any hunters they come across, alive if they are spotted by them! Their plan to get others involved in taking down Boris, is used by others to backfire against them, and the brothers have to go into hiding, leaving Piper and the twins alone, not knowing where they are or if they are all safe. Piper may still be human, but she is bound to Antoine and feels connected to all the brothers and can’t see her life being or doing anything else any more. There are huge prices to be paid, by her in particular, as other vampires and even Boris, seem to find her scent and her blood, a real pull. Everything is in play, for their freedom to live the lives they want to, without being continually at the beck and call of an evil sire. The cost may be high, but it could be worth it in the long run. This instalment of the series, brings with it lots of danger, heartache and some dodgy situations, but also some more sexy connections with the brothers. I look forward to the next book in the series. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
When I started reading this story, I could not put it down. I read the book in one day. This author is an awesome writer. I can not wait to read more of their books. Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.
Just like the previous books in this series it was enjoyable, easy-to-read and attention grabbing. This book feels like it ends on such a big cliff hanger and I can’t wait to read what’s next!
Edge of my seat good. Fantastic interesting and really cool.

Piper and the Durand family vampires are desperate to find Wynn and get him back. They must work together and push themselves to their limits to keep their family intact as they fight their old master. Piper continues to grow closer to each individual member of the group, while missing Wynn horribly. The story was action-packed with plenty of steamy scenes and showing more insight into the thoughts and feelings of the characters. I can’t get enough of the House of Durand. The story was intense and fast paced. There is so much packed into this novella. The chemistry between all of the “brothers” continues to rise and keeps my eyes glued to the pages. The cliffhanger about killed me, but it is worth it and I can’t wait until the next part of the saga.

I absolutely love this series and this latest addition is just as awesome! I love Piper and her sexy vampires and carrying on from the previous book the story continues to grow and develop and once again I find myself ‘sucked’ into this amazing world built by the author!
In this installment, Piper is dealing with the loss of Wynn. There are so many twists in the story that you could be dizzy! Which, of course, makes for very exciting reading. I loved all the POVs from the Durands, especially Alistair’s voice. Now I can hardly wait for what comes next. Highly recommended.

Oh no, here we go again in this series! Things just get settled down with the Durand’s maid and the vampires lose one of their own to another master. Now they have to get him back and what they have to do is critical to their lives as vampires! The maid is protected by the Durand’s and they would do anything to keep her but other vampires want her for her blood. The author has captured the essence of each character and the story jumps right out at you. This series is well thought out and a need to read with very good storytelling!
