If you enjoy Elizabeth Peter’s Vicky Bliss series or Romancing the Stone, Elusive has the same mix of mystery, international travel, and light romance.
Zoe Hunter loves living on the edge. Free-spirited and spontaneous, she’s built a life stringing together various freelance gigs that keep her bank account barely in the black.
But when her ex, Jack, goes missing along with several million … missing along with several million dollars from his business and the FBI zeros in on her as a person of interest, Zoe’s life goes from delightfully unpredictable to downright frightening.
Plunged into a world of fake identities, deception, and murder, she’s afraid to trust anyone. Zoe impulsively skips town in a search for answers that takes her from Las Vegas to Italy, but instead of tracking down answers, she only uncovers more questions.
Who was Jack? Is he dead or did he fake his disappearance? And, what was he mixed up in — art theft, the mafia, espionage, or all three?

This kept my interest from the beginning. Great characters and lots of surprises!
This was a cute page turning mystery!
Again another series of five books. I did like them all and at least after reading the first few you aren’t hanging in the lurch waiting to see if the main characters are going to be okay. I like the characters. Hope for more books from this author.
Loved it. A page turner from the first page. Love the way this author writes. Ending with a twist. Don’t want to spoil it but would change one thing about the ending.
Dragged on to long
Nice, action filled clean read. A bit of profanity, but I don’t mind that as long as the author doesn’t sink to using my Lord’s name in vain. I recommend.
This one will keep you guessing!!
Intelligent characters, plot kept me interested throughout.
Light read, mystery, romance.
Great page turner that you never want it to end.
Won’t read anymore by this author. The story line seemed disjointed.
A first title for me by this author. I liked it, but it took awhile to capture my interest. A surprise ending tho makes we want to read about these characters in a new book.
Here is the thing. The first book was free. I haven’t stopped reading this series since I started. The characters are so real to me. I think about them in my quiet moments and worry about what might happen to them.
The European scenes are like traveling there. Not obtrusive but enough detail to feel like I visited. Same for the U.S. locations.
If …
Liked the characters, they made it a page turner for me.
Characters were like cats with 9 lives. Clever ending.
Loved this book. I bought the next one, and it was good too. Will probably continue to buy the following ones in the series.
I liked the book very much, especially its unpredictability. The author could have used tired plot techniques, but instead created twists and turns that had me turning pages. A good tead.
Love this author’s work! I will be suggesting this book/series to my friends.
Would read another. Made me want to know what happens next.
Great read
