If you enjoy Elizabeth Peter’s Vicky Bliss series or Romancing the Stone, Elusive has the same mix of mystery, international travel, and light romance.
Zoe Hunter loves living on the edge. Free-spirited and spontaneous, she’s built a life stringing together various freelance gigs that keep her bank account barely in the black.
But when her ex, Jack, goes missing along with several million … missing along with several million dollars from his business and the FBI zeros in on her as a person of interest, Zoe’s life goes from delightfully unpredictable to downright frightening.
Plunged into a world of fake identities, deception, and murder, she’s afraid to trust anyone. Zoe impulsively skips town in a search for answers that takes her from Las Vegas to Italy, but instead of tracking down answers, she only uncovers more questions.
Who was Jack? Is he dead or did he fake his disappearance? And, what was he mixed up in — art theft, the mafia, espionage, or all three?

It was fun but the two main characters were unbelievably resourceful. This didn’t take away from the fun, however.
No matter what I read by Sara Rosett, it is wonderful. Elusive was impossible to put down. I actually lost sleep through my inability to stop reading. Wonderful and surprises one after the other with an ending leaving you wanting more.
If you like Janet evanovich you will live this series
This story took you across the U.S. and then to Italy in a whirlwind of action and danger. The characters were nicely done and the setting very well researched and detailed, but not overly so. I will continue reading the series.
I love the On the Run Series, especially Elusive. The characters are fun and entertaining. I love the back story of a whirlwind romance that has failed on the surface while the fire stir burns underneath. Great read.
It had me on the 1st page and could not put it down until the last page
I really enjoyed this book! I liked the main character & how her curiosity led her from trying to figure out what happened into being knee deep in the middle of it. The way she didn’t figure out one twist without being wound up in several others made me think of the old saying, curiosity killed the cat! I like the way the end told her another …
Loved this book with it’s twists and turns. It was fun and fast paced. Enjoyed meeting Zoe and the other characters in the book. Couldn’t put it down until I had finished it. Looking forward reading more books in this series.
entertaining
I really liked this book, good mystery with some twists and turns. I liked the writing style, and the heroine was smart and not the helpless girl caught in a situation. It was very entertaining, and I liked the globe trotting aspects.
One of my favorite Bookbub reads.
Thoroughly enjoyed this story with lots of twist and turns which kept me on edge wondering what happens next
Wish it wouldn’t leave a cliff hanger for another book.
Really enjoyed this series! Fun, flirty, fast paced and even makes you guess up to the end!
part mystery, part intrigue, and part romance.
It was ok. I liked the main character.
Easy reading cozy mystery
Great read. I loved the characters. Well developed.
A light, easy read book for any rainy day entertainment.
Maybe not award-winning, but a fun read, and I would definitely pick up the next in the series .
