Ellie Jordan’s job is to identify and remove unwanted ghosts. Part detective, part paranormal exterminator, Ellie operates out of Savannah, Georgia, the most haunted city in the United States.
When a family contacts her to deal with a disturbing presence in the crumbling old mansion they’ve purchased, Ellie first believes it to be a typical, by-the-book specter, a residual haunting by a … a restless spirit. Instead, she finds herself confronting an older and more powerful evil that dwells within the walls of the house, stalking the living.
Ellie must quickly unravel the secret history behind the haunting in order to remove the ghost. She is aided by her new assistant Stacey, a recent film school graduate with a gift for capturing images and video of ghosts, and Jacob, a reluctant young psychic. Together, they will try to evict the dangerous spirits of the dead, whose threats to the family grow more terrifying every night.
“Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper is Ghostbusters meets The Dresden Files. Fun and creepy.” -Daniel Arenson, USA Today bestselling author of Earthrise and the Song of Dragons series
“A brilliantly addictive, insomnia-inducing story following Ellie Jordan, a ghost tracker, who works a hazardous job investigating hauntings. Read before bedtime at your own risk!” -Alexia Purdy, bestselling author of the Dark Faerie Tale and Reign of Blood series

I found this book and in less than three days, I consumed the entire series. It’s brilliantly written for those of us who love ghost stories. I highly recommend the entire series.
A GREAT short read and super addictive series. Think “Ghost Hunters” with a female lead and some scary, angry ghosts. I read the first book on a whim and have been hooked ever since. Highly recommend for a stormy afternoon with all the lights on.
WOW!! Was all I thought after I finished reading this book. It actually took my breath away!! There are times when a person becomes too cocky or complacent in their job. It never fails that this is when they find out they were completely WRONG!!!!
I never did care much for people when they felt this way and that is the first impression I had …
Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper
Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper Series #1
By: J. L. Bryan
Narrated by: Carla Mercer-Meyer
This is an excellent ghost hunting book! Much better than ghost hunters. Lots of exciting stuff goes on, great characters, and great plot! I was hooked right away! Nothing like listening to a haunted ghost tale at night!
The narration …
3 1/2 Stars
This story was okay but I wasn’t crazy about it. For one thing there were some inconsistencies that bothered me. For example, one ghost could pick a person up by the throat and choke them, but was unable to pick up a syringe off the floor. I don’t mind ghosts in stories, but I think they need to be more realistic, or at least ‘my’ …
Very believable characters, excellent storyline. I haven’t been this excited about a book in quite some time. I’ve purchased the second book in the series and plan on reading more books from this author. I wish I could give this book a ten star rating!!!
This was a great book. Had me scared of the ghosts that Ellie was trying to trap
I felt like I was reading a script of Ghost Hunters!
The first half of this book finds Ellie working on a standard ghost haunting. The originality isn’t there. She uses night vision and thermal goggles, cameras, checks EMP levels and cold spots. It’s all very basic and kind of boring.
The second half of the book is where it gets interesting. The …
I read this book because I am fascinated with ghosts and hauntings. The story starts out a bit slow, as is with most haunting investigations, but picks up speed and tops out fantastically. It is well written, and the characters are realistic and enjoyable. We don’t really get to know them a whole lot outside of the job they are doing, but I …
I’m a sucker for Paranormal Suspense and a fan of ghost hunting shows, so this book seemed like an excellent choice at the time. Besides, it was one of the freebies on BookBub at the time. Ellie and company are well-written characters, the stories are set in the South (a win for this Texas gal even though the setting isn’t Texas), and the spirits …
I like this character, she has her head on straight and is working to make her life a success. I like that (so far) she’s not waiting for a knight in shinning armor but instead is figuring thingss out on her own.
Ghost hunting fans, I have found the book for you. And good news, it’s a start to a series that I think will be awesome. Ellie Jordan is a ghost trapper. And she’s good at her job. We are introduced to her in this book as she helps out a family who have bought a large home and are fixing it up to make it a bed and breakfast. Little do they know …
What a fun and intriguing book! This was a brand new series and author for me, but I am so glad I found this book. The characters and story just kept pulling through from chapter to chapter. Ready to devour more!
This first book in the Ellie Jordan paranormal mystery series gets the series off to a great start. The story is well-written and fast-faced. It’s an enjoyable read for those who like ghost stories without graphic gore.
WARNING:
Do NOT read if you’re alone. A scare up there with the likes of Amityville Horror.
A good haunted house story. Many edge of your seat, white knuckle moments. I could clearly “see” because the descriptions were so well written. I felt the characters were fleshed out, not too over the top. I definitely will be joining Ellie, Stacey et al …
Ellie and her group have a very interesting job that a lot of people could not be able to handle—including me.
I could not put this book down–I was hooked from the first and was not disappointed all the way to the end.
I figured out what Mercy was doing from the beginning.
Liked the ending.
Great read
The first thing I noticed about this book was the story takes place in Georgia. It’s supposed to be one of the most haunted cities in the south, steeped in dark stories. It’s the perfect setting.
You’ve read the blurb so you know this is about a haunted house. So I’m going to introduce you to the ghost trappers from Eckhart Investigations instead …
