Kingdoms, Battles and Dragons
“This book contained plenty of action and dialogue. The story unraveled with a perfect flow and a well thought out plot. A mix of kings, dragons, and battles and a touch of romance that made it a great read. There was enough emotion that I could connect with the characters. My heart goes out to the one who was lost. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series! “
Great Fantasy book!
I am new in fantasy fiction, but I am glad I bought this book, because I really enjoyed the lovely story of Prince Liam, Anna, all other characters and… the baby dragon Ella! – Somehow it reminded me of the fairy tales I read during my childhood. If you like touching, well written fantasy, – this book is for YOU!
Ella by Samantha Evans is, with no doubt an engaging read. Being an avid fan of the YA fantasy genre, I really enjoyed reading this book.
Everyone, except Prince Liam of Derzeli believed that greatness can be achieved by slaying a dragon. This was considered as a tradition among kings to prove their worth for the throne.
This story revolves around a dragon Ella and a young prince, Liam whose actions and thoughts are different from the others. He is later forced to face some tough situations that leaves him with no choice except to run away from his kingdom and people (not giving any spoilers). Finally, he musters up the courage to return back to his kingdom for good, decides to find a way for the peace of all the realms and claim the throne.
A great fantasy read with plenty of twists and turns along the way. A great start to a series.
If you like fantasy stories with deep characters and imaginary lands with a touch of dragons, this is a great story. The author’s imagination has created a visionary world with an intriguing plot. I would have loved to give this book 5 stars, as 95% of the writing grips you and pulls you in. I have had to drop a star because there are a few small sections of the book that are slightly marred with confusing sentences and minor editing errors. This novel is definitely worth reading, don’t give in at the early stage as it develops into a wonderfully written work that could be a masterpiece with a professional edit.
Liam, a very kind and gentle prince saves a baby dragon at birth named Ella from being slayed and the adventure just draws one in from there! This is the kind of fantasy book most ages can enjoy and there’s a lot of fun, battle and even a love interest. Liam is the kind of character one just falls inlove with. He is courageous from the start, and as he grows up he decides to continue his quest to right all the wrongs in the kingdom and everywhere around him. I would consider this a great read for anyone who enjoys the medieval time period, fantasy, action, adventure, and of course my favorite DRAGONS!!
Ella is a magical story with a plot that twists from front to end. The Author lays out a beautiful story that will touch the heart of any reader. The story develops quickly and there is suspense and action in each chapter. There are unexpected turn of events that keeps the reader wanting more as the plot thickens and unfolds. By the end of the book the reader will have felt a range of emotions from simple joy, excitement, love, betrayal, and conquest. Certainly an author to watch and follow.
I read this book in about three days, between my pauses at work, and taking all the chances to see what would have happened next. The book is bringing you into a magical land where you almost want to have a dragon, like Ella as your companion and friend. The tender passion between Prince Liam and Anna will transport your heart to a feeling able to overcome the struggles, betrayals, and distances.
I really enjoyed reading this and I wholeheartedly recommend it, it was impossible to put it down.
Prince Liam is different than most royalty in the kingdom of Derzeli. He believes honor isn’t defined by the size of the kill you bring home. Intent on proving his worth as more than a killer, he rescues a dragon egg during one of his father’s hunts.
When tragedy strikes, forcing Liam to flee from his home, he and the young dragon Ella bond in unexpected ways and meet new friends that help them along their journey. If Liam wants his kingdom and friends back, he’s going to have to do things that are very un-Liam-like.
I really enjoyed this story. It has a very solid foundation and the premise itself is wonderfully done. It does have some issues with grammar and typos, but I still really enjoyed it! The characters are well-written and rounded off; the romance is sweet and fresh. I would most definitely recommend this.
Story about Prince Liam Who went on a quest with his father (the king) . The king killed a dragon. Price Liam took care of the dragon’s egg, when it harched he named her ELLa. They both became friends. Then a fiend of the kingdom surfaced and the story continued. It was a HEA.
This seems to be part one of a series. I am not one into fantasy stories but this kep me engaged. It is simply written, there were a few grammatical errors but it didn’t detract the story.
I find it an enjoyable read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one! The story revolves around Prince Liam and Cullen. One in line for the throne, the other barely acknowledged by the king. Royal family goes on a little hunting trip to kill a dragon. It’s tradition and honor for kings to slay a dragon, something Liam’s father had yet to achieve. Liam is against killing the mythical creatures, so he feels that it’s his duty to steal a dragon egg and raise it, somehow. Murder has Liam fleeing the kingdom when is accused of killing his father. There’s plenty of drama, action and several surprising twists that will keep you turning the pages just to see what happens next! I highly recommend this one!
