*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
Wow is this book going deep into the relationship side of things as the group gears up to take Elizabeth’s pack back. Stuff is worked out that has been coming for awhile at the same time some new drama is starting to percolate. All of this leads up to a cliff hanger that had me whimpering wonder what going to happen next. These stories are remarkable well written drawing you into the story like you are there with them at times. The perfect blend of fantasy, romance, drama, and danger to keep you hooked. I highly recommend this book/series to fans of the genre. I loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
Ok, big improvement from book 5! I thought book 5 was actually one of the weakest of the bunch but book 6 ups the ante and really helps get the story back on track. I thought the plot flowed well, the devastating moments were well-timed and not overdone. I also thought the steamy scenes were better placed and not thrown out there every couple pages like it felt in book 5. The actions and plot advancement made sense, nothing was really superfluous or thrown in just to get more readership/be more steamy, if that makes sense. I think my favorite is Christian (LOVED his sexy scene in this one too haha), followed up closely by Hunter.
I was happy to see resolution with Avery and with the clan as a whole (nothing is 100% at the end of this book but light at the end of the tunnel that they could share once they get out of the hot mess they find themselves at the end of the book). I didnt see this additional betrayal, but I have a feeling its not what it seems. I am interested to see how this 5th guy plays into the harem, verdict is still out for me regarding him haha. I am sad I have to wait until my subscription lets me listen again next month, but I know it will be the first one I listen to once I am able. I need to know how Elizabeth and her guys get of out this sticky situation with her old pack. I am happy we finally get to ge the showdown we have all been waiting for, but things to go to plan unfortunately. I loved the action in this one, the events that happen once Elizabeth is taken into custody of her old pact. I am excited to see how Ava ends this series. More to come later!
Not much else to say for narration. 5/5 from me in this book, compared to the 4 stars I gave in book 5. No complaints of criticism from me. Angela brought these characters to life and I didnt want to leave their world yet!! I thought the scenes with Aaron were amazing but upsetting, just how it should have been to be honest. Things couldn’t go back to butterflies and rainbows after how his father destroyed her life. Great job, hope this keeps up in book 7
Wow! This is such a great series. This story has it all – the are hot, steamy moments, sweetness, humor, and tragedy. I really like Elizabeth and her dragons. Elizabeth has such strength and resilience, but also open and vulnerable at times. The story does end on a cliffhanger, and hopefully the last book will be out soon 😉
