Oh Reapers! How I have missed thee! I was super excited to be back in the world of the Reaper’s MC, and even more excited with this enemies to lovers trope. Eli King first met Peaches Taylor when he moved in with his Uncle Gus at the age of eleven. Needless to say, he and Peaches did not hit it off. Even as they grew older, their love/hate game was strong. Now several years later, now that Eli is out of prison for a crime he didn’t commit, they are at it again because they both want the Starkwood Saloon.
There is so much history, as well as chemistry between these two, you can just feel it radiating out of the pages. I always enjoy being back in the Reapers world, and even though this was a novella (meant to be short), I feel like the ending was a little rushed and skipped over lots of the story I felt we needed. But overall didn’t affect my overall rating. Wylde’s Reapers MC is one of my most loved MC worlds to live in.

I loved this story from the first page. Even though its a novella (I prefer full length novels) I really enjoyed this one. It was fast paced, but not rushed, and was well written. The characters draw you in straight away and my curiosity over Eli and Peaches was peaked straight away.
Eli and Peaches grew up together and have always been enemies from childhood. They pranks on each other have been quite amusing. Despite this you can still feel that their feelings for each other are more then what they show. The chemistry between them is palpable and is waiting for that spark to set off the explosion that’s bubbling under the surface.
Just when their relationship had been starting to change into more, Eli is sent to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Whilst he’s away Peaches is promised the bar that they both worked at for their father figure Gus, but now he is out Gus is selling it to Eli sparking the rivalry and pain from Peaches towards Eli.
I always enjoy a good enemies-to-lovers story. I loved the build up in the tension between Eli and Peaches. It was hot AF and very steamy with their banter and fights.
I so could have read a full length novel of these two.
Wow, the sparks between Eli and Peaches started in grade school, when Eli moved into his Uncle Gus’ home and Peaches had to start sharing her room and what she felt was “her” Gus, who was practically a stepfather while living with Peach’s mom. And as much as she loved Gus, that was how much she resented Eli, which led to her placing snakes in his bed, spiders down his pants, and anything to try and get Eli to move out of the house and stop taking Gus’ attention away from her.
Fast forward to present day, and they are still fighting and the sparks have only turned hotter.
There is so much I like about Eli, but it is hard to talk about them without spoilers. Just Eli was more special than I ever expected. And Peaches? She had strong emotions, a hot temper, held grudges, and could be very violent when her temper was triggered. Like, scary violent.
I loved getting back into the world of the Reapers MC, and I loved this novella.
I’m a huge fan of Joanna Wylde’s and have been since I read Reaper’s Property years ago. The Reapers MC series is one of my favorite series, and any opportunity I get to head back into that world is one I’m going to take. It doesn’t matter if it’s the Reapers in Hallies Falls, Couer d’Alene or Portland, I slip right into that world as soon as I crack open one of her books. Wylde rewards me by combining her fantastic storytelling, consuming plots and sexy romances into gripping, riveting, unputdownable stories.
Eli’s Triumph is a 1001 Dark Nights novella, is a standalone story within Wylde’s Reapers World, and it can absolutely be read and fully enjoyed without having read any of the previous stories in the Reapers series. Eli King and Peaches Taylor may have a long and difficult history, but underneath all that animosity, lust and attraction—and love—simmers. Wylde uses humor and banter to ramp up the sexual tension between Eli and Peaches. The push and pull manifests itself in pranks, heated arguments and sizzling chemistry until it all boils over in a long-overdue showdown. I loved the way that Peaches had no problem standing up to Eli, and although she was the hothead in this relationship, she held her ground, even when she was the one losing everything. Eli has always loved Peaches, and he’s not happy with how things shook out for her. He proposes an alternative, and if she can see past the betrayal, they both might just get more than either of them had ever dreamed they would.
Surprisingly sweet, seriously sexy and down-to-earth, Eli’s Triumph was a great addition to Joanna Wylde’s Reapers MC series. I loved this quick trip to into the Reapers world, and I already can’t wait for the next chance to head back. Four smooches from me for Eli’s Triumph by Joanna Wylde.

ELI’S TRIUMPH is instalment 6.7 in Joanna Wylde’s contemporary, adult REAPERS MC romance series, and the latest instalment in the multi-authored 1001 Dark nights series. This is Reapers MC member Eli King, and bartender /waitress Peaches Taylor’s story line. ELI’S TRIUMPH can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Eli and Peaches) ELI’S TRIUMPH follows the acrimonious relationship between thirty-one year old Eli King, and Peaches Taylor. Having grown up as embattled step-siblings, of a sort, Peaches and Eli’s relationship continues to broil close to exploding. An early release from jail for a crime he did not commit finds Eli in line to take over and purchase the Starkwood Bar from his uncle Gus, a bar frequented by the Reapers MC. The only problem-Peaches has her own eyes set on ownership of the bar, ownership promised to her by the man she thought of a father and friend. What ensues is the caustic war of words and accusations between Peaches and Eli, and the potential fall-out when the truth is revealed forcing Peaches to back away, without a fight.
The relationship between Eli and Peaches is abrasive and heart breaking. Years of childish fights, and constant bickering hides a lifelong attraction between our leading couple, an attraction hindered by sins of the past, and fractured feelings. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
The colorful secondary and supporting characters include Eli’s uncle Gus, the current owner of the Starkwood Bar; Peaches’ mother and her husband James, as well as several members of the Reapers MC.
ELI’S TRIUMPH is a fast paced, story of family, betrayal, forgiveness and love. The premise is engaging and captivating; the romance is seductive and hot; the characters are energetic and moving. ELI’S TRIUMPH is a welcome addition to the author’s REAPERS MC.
A fast paced, interesting, entertaining, and super sultry story. Eli and Peaches have known each other since they were kids and they had a hate/love (more hate than love) relationship. I enjoyed their banter, their steamy moments, Peaches’ feistiness, and Eli’s alpha bad boy demeanor. These two were absolutely meant to be, they just needed to be open to it. I enjoyed this intriguing and fun book.
This is a hot and steamy enemies to lovers quick read. Peaches and Eli have been pushing each other’s buttons since they were kids. Now it’s years later and time hasn’t tamped down their witty banter and sparks. I thoroughly enjoyed this entertaining MC novella.
The Reapers MC is just the best MC series around. The books can’t come fast enough. This book is a short story about Eli and Peaches, it may be short but it has what it needs to make it a great read with all the secrets the MC has, a not so happy past between Eli and Peaches, and a growing attraction between the two when Eli returns. Peaches is such a strong and fierce woman who knows what she wants, only now Eli is back and has ruined it. Secrets are uncovered from their past, and their attraction is so strong they can’t kelp but to have some sexy times. But is it enough? The writing was amazing and the secondary characters are strong and the way they affect the story is perfect. An amazing story with the HEA that we all love. And the ending follows through to a bit in the future to bring the story full circle.
Eli and Peaches have some major animosity going since childhood. Peaches carries one hell of a grudge!
But they find themselves in a precarious situation poised to create a permanent divide. But giving in to what they started years ago sets them on a completely new path, the intended path. Well, that and a little eavesdropping.
Peaches is strong willed and unforgiving. Eli sacrifices everything for love (love of family and love of a woman who pushes all his buttons).
Truthfully they are far better together than apart. I missed the Reapers, though. There was only a taste, which was just not enough for this Reapers loving reader.
Wow ~! What a cute story ! This current tale was filled with a ton of laughs.Peaches and Eli have a past and grew up together with the same man looking over them but, from the moment they met he became her Nemesis .Though-out the years Peaches and Eli’s relationship remained that way but, there was always this underlying current of sexual tension and desire.
We actually enjoyed the story as it was fun and flirty and had a great cast of characters and more that a few betrayals but, all is explained and desires explored. The story was filled with love and forgiveness and all about second chances and writing the wrongs of ones past making you into a better man but, also showing someone you loved them more than life itself and will protect you with everything they have even of those deeds are done from afar .
We loved both Eli and Peaches they made a cute couple and just perfect for each other Peaches the saucy minx and Eli the biker bad boy who has know problem expressing his love for his women even if he goes about it in is own quirky ways and has no problem wanting to be owned by this women in every way.
“We loved it !”

This is a novella. If it’s your first glimpse into the world of the Reapers MC, you’re fine. This is a complete stand alone. But you will want to read more about these guys and this MC. The Reapers don’t really play a major roll in this story.
While I liked this, I didn’t love it like I usually do with the Reapers. I was waiting for more drama I think.
I liked Peaches and Eli. The story flowed great and the writing is great as well. I wouldn’t expect anything less from Joanna. She is a fantastic writer and can tell a heck of a story.
ELI’S TRIUMPH is one bat shit crazy ride of a book. Mix in bikers a love-hate relation and its about to get down. Like fireworks or maybe a blazing inferno!
But it will rock your naughty socks off!!
Thank you Joanna Wylde and 1,001 Dark Nights for bringing us back to the Reapers MC, I’ve missed this series. Eli and Peaches have a long and complicated past, Eli moved in with his Uncle Gus when he was 7 years old and Peaches was already living with Gus because her mom and Gus were together, long story short there was a lot of jealousy on Peaches part because Eli was the one receiving Gus’s attention now.
As they grew up things didn’t get easier for them as their hatred for one another grew so did their attraction, you know that fine line between love and hate well they almost crossed it the night Eli was arrested and sent to prison. Now that he’s been released and served five years for a crime he didn’t commit he’s looking to get the one thing he’s always wanted and was promised the Starkwood Saloon, the only hitch is that Gus had promised Peaches that she could buy it from him when he was ready to retire.
This was a fast paced, fun, sexy read that moved back and forth through time giving us different glimpses of Peaches and Eli’s life together. I really enjoyed this read, the only thing I wish is that it was longer! 1,001 Dark Nights is a great way to introduce readers to series that they may not have read before and if they have it gives them a chance to revisit the series with characters that may not have otherwise gotten their stories. If you are new to the Reapers MC, this is a perfect chance for you to jump in and see what the MC is all about. I bet once you get a taste you’ll want to go back and start from the beginning. Happy Reading!!!
I love this series and I was so excited to be back with men and woman of the Reapers MC and Eli’s Triumph was everything I expected and more. In this quick read we get everything we want to know about Eli and Peaches, a couple with a love/hate relationship and nine times out of ten it’s more hate than love……
Peaches has spent most of her life with the Reapers and for the last few years she has worked at the Starkwood Saloon with the intent of one day making it’s hers well that was before Eli King came back into the fold. Peaches sees Eli as the man who has stolen everything important to her but this time she is not prepared to give up without a fight…..
This may be a quick read but it still packs a mighty punch, sizzling chemistry, a enemies to lovers romance as well as catching up with the Reapers gang all in all a great read !!!!
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Peaches Taylor has never gotten over her dislike. Eli King loves to torment. Our author puts a twist on the boy who does all the wrong things to grab the girl’s attention. And she takes it one step further by giving us a glimpse at what happens to them when they’re all grown up.
Once I met Peaches I left myself no choice but to get this book read in one sitting. She grabbed my attention right away because of how she went about solving her current problem. Then Eli introduces himself and I had to find out how the boy grew into the man.
If you’re expecting to see a lot of the Reaper’s with this latest book you may be a little disappointed. They make appearances here and there and their name is dropped a couple of times as well but it’s all about our couple and a man named Gus. When you think of an MC you don’t think romantic but Eli shows how romantic he can be. That made for the perfect ending. I started following this series after six books had come out. In reading her novellas I’ve found that I didn’t need to read the other book but at some point want to catch up on what I’ve missed.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
4.5 Stars of Awesome!!!
Got to admit, there are characters that really make an impression, and Peaches Taylor really made one with me! She was a freaking hoot!!!!!! There were so many times that I couldn’t stop laughing because of what she did. And what made it funnier, was the stuff she did as a kid! She really had an imagination and she totally put that to use.
I wasn’t very sure what to think about her and Eli. With the way that they sparked off each other early on and knowing some of their backstory, I knew that they were not going to be your typical couple, but dang did Peaches REALLY let her irritation be known and did it in an awesome way. But Eli was the one that surprised me. He knew what he wanted and he wasn’t going to stop until he got it.
Overall, I really liked Eli and Peaches. She is badass in her own right and has NO issue with letting others know her irritation level. But the way that she handled the revelations that came, during and at the end, showed a maturity that I wasn’t expecting from her. So, I was highly entertained with her antics, and totally enjoyed the overall story. So, two thumbs up and happy reading!!!!
Eli’s Triumph takes us through a quick ride through the world of the Reapers MC. I am a big fan of Joanna Wylde and her Reapers series so when a new book is released I am all in! She brings us the good the bad and the ugly of the MC world combined with strong, sassy women and panty dropping, hot alpha men!
Eli and Peaches have always had a love/hate type of relationship with more hate than love at times. Neither has had things easy but they have always stayed connected. Now, if they can put their differences aside and give into their desires they have a chance at what they both have always wanted!
OMG where do I even begin!! I can not tell you how much I FLOVE Peaches!!! I want to be just like her when I grow up!! She is fierce, bold, independent, driven, feisty, and absolutely EVERYTHING I must have in a heroine. She also has a vulnerability that she doesn’t let show all too often. Peaches has cemented her position as one of my all time favorite character EVER!!
Wylde has a special talent for building up Eli and Peaches story while also weaving their history throughout the book. It was almost like looking back at a slide show of their life, all the monumental moments in their life, watching it transform and grow. I was able to feel a connection to these characters, to become invested in where this story was taking them. Instead of just reading about 2 random people, I felt as though I was living it right along with them.
Wylde’s Reapers MC is one of my all time favorite series and I was so so happy to be back in this world!!
Read: 5/10/19
Eli’s Triumph was a novella within the Reapers MC series by Joanna Wylde.
Eli King and Peaches Taylor grew up together but they were nemesis. Of course there was a fine line between love and hate. I fell in love with both characters. They were gorgeous, smart, strong, snarky and funny.
Although it was set in the present, Wylde took us back in time as needed to fill in gaps and provide insight into their dynamics. I loved their antics, bantering and pranks. As a novella, it was a quick read and I was craving more. I couldn’t get enough of either of them. I would have loved a full book with more depth; however, it was a short, fun read and I thoroughly enjoyed every word.
5 Star Review Eli’s Triumph (Reapers MC #6.7) by Joanna Wylde
I am a big fan of Joanna Wylde and her Reaper MC series. This is book 6.7 in the series which is one of my favourite MC series of all time. As with all the previous books in this series, Eli’s Triumph was gritty, realistic and extremely well written.
This is Eli King and Peaches Taylor’s, enemies to lovers story. Every time I read a Reaper MC book, I fall more in love with Ms.Wylde’s books. Her characters are always strong, the women feisty and the men so darn Alpha it almost hurts. They love hard, play hard and there is just something about these men and their women that ticks all the boxes for me.
Eli has given up so much for the Reapers MC and now he is back and ready to settle down, ready to take ownership of the bar Gus has promised him, the only thing standing in his way is his childhood nemesis Preaches, who also happens to want the Starkwood Saloon.
There was plenty of tension and drama, hot and heavy scenes and so much build up that I was totally engrossed from the start. This is one heck of a roller coaster read to be honest and I found myself both happy and sad on occasion.
