From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Joanna Wylde comes a new story in her Reapers MC series¿Peaches Taylor spent the last seven years slinging drinks and dodging drunks at the Starkwood Saloon. Eli’s Triumph is a enemies-to-lovers story. Eli and Peaches grew up together and had an antagonistic relationship. However, underneath that anger is a burning passion between them and Eli knows it’s only a matter of time before they combust. The book focuses around Eli buying his uncle’s bar which Peaches works at and was saving up to buy. This event is the match that ignites the fire between Eli and Peaches and they are soon giving into their glaring passion . Eli’s Triumph is a quick read but the history between Eli and Peaches makes their transitions from antagonists to lovers to a functional couple. I enjoyed this look into the Reaper’s MC world!
Another wonderful addition to Joanna Wylde’s Reaper series! Eli’s Triumph is a novella about uncovering truths and the things we do for love. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The initial bar scene with Peaches and her friend was hilarious! As always, Joanna Wylde gets you hooked into the characters. Your feelings begin to mirror the characters and you are all in for the ride!
Peaches is a fearless, take no prisoner gal. She’s spent the last five years working tirelessly to reach her dream. When that dream is within months of reality it’s taken out from underneath her by the very person she’s fought against her whole life. The very person she’s had to share everything with, including her beloved Gus. But this time he’s not going to share in her dream. He’s not going to get what is hers!
This is an incredibly steamy angst filled story with an enemies to lovers romance. Eli and Peaches have history, lots of history. As Peaches plots her revenge she revisits their shared past and comes to realize how much Eli has been a part of her life, in fact, she learns there are some ways she hadn’t realized. As we delve into the story we find the heart and compassion underlying all of their feelings.
“I could hate him or fight with him all I wanted, but the problem was, anytime we touched, he made me weak.”
“My entire body clinched, liquid and hot. If he can do this with one little kiss, what else could he do? I clinched at the thought, spirals of desire zipping along my spine.”
Adult perspective is vastly different from the eyes of a child and things aren’t always what they seem. Peaches starts to learn the role she’s played in Eli’s life and that there are two sides to every story. As Eli and Peaches start to piece together their sides, understanding takes place and true feelings are revealed. But will it be too late? Can Peaches and Eli forgive? And what about her dream? Does she give it up or will Eli help her create a new one?
As always Joanna Wylde gives us a yummy story to enjoy. This is one morsel not to miss.
I read an ARC of this book. My fair and honest review is voluntary.
Eli King and Peaches Taylor’s long-standing feud illustrates why they love to hate each other and why they’re more frenemies than anything else. There’s a long history between them of pulling pranks and sabotaging each other’s lives in any number of ways, which only amplifies their current situation given that they’re vying to purchase the same bar and neither of them is willing to relent one iota because they refuse to lose out on their dream of owning the bar they’ve both worked at.
The push and pull between these two is evident from their very first encounter and the fact that they ultimately have the same end game makes things even more tenuous for them. Both Eli and Peaches are extremely stubborn, which means that as much as their lust for each other seems to be obvious to onlookers, they won’t admit anything and refuse to give any ground to the other, which means it’s war between this alpha biker and spitfire and either could end up the victor because that’s how much they both want to win.
The back and forth banter between Eli and Peaches is quite comical and it builds up the sexual tension that surrounds them because neither one is willing to stop pressing each other’s buttons or to let go of their past antics and bad behavior, which means that when these to finally do give into their need for one another, it’s going to be an epic explosion of pent up feelings and desires.
I really enjoyed reading Eli and Peaches’ story, but I did wish more details were given and further discussion about their relationship was provided. This might be due, though, to the fact that I haven’t been back in Wylde’s Reapers’ world for so long and because it’s one of the first biker romance series that I read that started my love for all things bikers that I wanted to spend more time with the Reapers until the next story is released. Either way, Eli’s Triumph is a sexy, humorous, and heartfelt read that allowed me to re-enter a world I adore!
4 Poison Apples
I have read a couple of them from this series with having enjoyed them greatly with this one being no exception. She has a appealing way to draw you in and the characters give it to ya. In this one Peaches and Eli you have them wanting the same thing but it will also start in other areas also. The entertainment was how and who was going to get it. This was not the first time they butt heads either which makes for delicious reading. So if you have ever read any of hers you know that this is one that was also superb and got a fix on our emotions at times. If you haven’t why not it is good reading all the way around.
It’s been a while since I picked up a Reapers MC book, but let me tell you, it was like slipping right back in with old favorites. Eli’s Triumph’s by Joana Wylde is a quick and steamy read with a few surprises in the 1001 Dark Nights world and serves as a great introduction for new readers of the series and/or Joana Wylde; or a look at an old favorite for lovers of the series. It really is a great place to start.
Peaches Taylor has grown up surrounded by the Reapers and for the last few years, she has been working at the Starkwood Saloon. She has been working hard to make it hers. But imagine her surprise when Eli King is back and ready to take what is rightfully hers, or so she thinks. Eli and Peaches have been enemies with chemistry that could burn any place down. Eli has always wanted Peaches but has bided his time. Peaches sees Eli as the person who steals everything that ever meant anything to her. She is ready to fight for what she wants this time, but at what cost?
I loved Peached and Eli. They had a strong connection and insane chemistry. They also shared history with one man that bonded and tore them apart constantly. I loved reading Eli’s Triumph and catching up with this MC. This book is on the lighter side for an MC, but still a great read!
Read and reviewed for Reviews From The Heart.
Happy reading.
Another visit to Joanna’s MC world is always welcome, and this enemies to lovers novella romps along at a pace which is satisfying, fun and hot! With a relationship, of sorts, tracing back decades, with tensions brought through bad communication and circumstances, with unresolved feelings and unamitted attraction, Eli and Peaches spark off each other like fireworks in a tin! Qhen it comes, you know it’s going to be dramatic!
I loved this book. It’s written well and with great affection for its characters. I definitely fell for Eli and Peaches completely. Good read all round!
Eli King is back and ready to take over the Starkwood Salon as promised after his stint in jail. Only issue his life long nemsis/girl he always wanted was promised she could buy the same bar. Peaches and Eli have been at each other throats since they were 5 and 7, what was hate has grown into attraction. Eli and Peaches fight their love but it is still there, a great hate to love book.
I adore the Reaper’s World by Joanna Wylde books. This was a great peek into the world of them while we all eagerly wait for a full book.
Eli and Peaches had me rolling from the very start of their story! Their antics, pranks, and torture of each other put a smile on my face and made me LOL more than once. A story that starts with a childhood rivalry, ends with a love that really proves the saying “There’s a thin line between love and hate”!
Peaches grew up in the Reapers MC. Her mom’s boyfriend was a Reaper, so even as a child she was part of the MC world. When, at the tender age of 5, things changed, Peaches couldn’t see past the boy that was taking over her world. One prank led to another, until they were ripped apart by a crazy set of circumstances.
Eli was saved by the Reapers MC, and his uncle, who took him in after his mother’s death. He grew up way to fast, and even at a young age, knew how to give as good as he got. Eli would do anything for the Reapers MC, sacrifice anything asked of him, because of what they mean to him. He gave up a lot for the brotherhood, but when he comes back home, he knows what he wants and will let nothing stand in his way.
This book was so much fun! I loved Peaches and Eli’s crazy antics, and hilarious interactions. I can’t help but laugh at them. This story is a good introduction to the Reapers MC, but can totally be read as a stand alone. It will definitely leave you wanting more of the Reapers, and looking for the next read in the series!
Oh how I have missed the Reaper’s! Eli’s Triumph is a quick novella set in the Reaper’s MC world. Joanna Wylde gives us a tiny taste and I must say I want more!!!
Eli King and Peaches Taylor have known each other since they were young and have a well-defined relationship full of antics, revenge and hate toward each other. But you know what they say about love and hate….
“The chemistry between us had always crackled. It was there when we kissed, taking charge in the same way it did when we fought.”
Eli is a ‘Reaper’ and has returned after spending 5 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. His dream is to own the Starkwood Saloon and he plans to buy it from his uncle, Gus, also a Reaper. Thing is, Peaches has been working there while Eli has been away and she also wants to buy it. Peaches doesn’t know that the Reaper’s MC already own half of the Saloon. The Saloon is a small part of a “thanks for taking the rap” deal.
However, Peaches is determined and extremely hot tempered! What ensures is a fast paced, sexy, battle of the sexes. Peaches will not go quietly and will not give up easily, especially against her nemesis – Eli.
Eli’s Triumph is a fast, fun and sexy read. It is leaving me craving more! Reaper’s MC series is one of my favorite MC series and I highly recommend it! Can’t wait for more!

For Peaches it all started when she had to share her room with Eli, at five she had no clue why, just that he was in her space and now she had to share. When he “killed” Lemur (her stuffy), well that was just the icing on the cake. From that point on Peaches made sure to make Eli’s life miserable and vice versa, Eli wasn’t about to let her one up him in her schemes. Now, years late Eli is back and once again turns Peaches life upside down. Eli is back to claim whats his, the saloon and Peaches, he just needs to get her to forgive him first.
Even for a novella, this pulls you in to the drama and danger of the MC world. I really enjoyed it, and when it was over, I found myself not wanting to leave that world. With some funny bits, super hot naughty ones, and a bit of drama, I give this 5 stars.
I just love Joanna’s books and this one is no different. Peaches and Eli seem to really hate one another, the things they pulled had me laughing out loud. I really enjoyed this enemies to lovers book and the way it flowed so easily. When everything comes out into the open will they go on hating each other or will they put it all aside and finally be together? Can’t wait for more.
