USA Today Bestselling Author, Jordan Marie, writing as J. Marie, brings you a brand-new paranormal series full of Alpha males, strong heroines and where everything is not what its seems on the surface.ELEVENI’ve spent my entire life being trapped and studied like the lab rat I was created to be.Tortured, prodded, abused, I dreamed of freedom, but didn’t believe I would truly find it.I never … of freedom, but didn’t believe I would truly find it.
I never thought my chance of getting away would come in the form of a sweet, little girl with secrets of her own.
ETTIE
I could hear his screams late at night when I was supposed to be sleeping. Each one of them marked me, scarring me on the inside, where no one could see… but me.
I hid my secrets, knowing what I was doing could get me in trouble. I only knew that I had to help him.
I loved him, even if I was too young to have him. I knew in my heart that someday he would be mine and I would be his.
I helped set him free, my beautiful soldier with the smoldering brown eyes and crooked smile.
But, when I needed him, he was nowhere to be found.
Now, he’s back, but dreams to a child are simplistic.
Things are different when you’re a woman and the man you’re in love with, have always been in love with, holds the power to completely destroy you.
Welcome to the world of the Eternals. Supernatural beings finding their way in a world they don’t belong to, yet have no choice but to live in. The only thing that might make it tolerable is one truth.
Somewhere out there, every single one of them has a true mate. Now, they won’t stop until they find them. Who knows? Maybe it could be you.

Oh my, the evil characters in this book are so incredibly bad I feel violent when thinking about them. Honestly, I’m not like this usually however with the descriptions and scenes being so vivid how could I not want something fatally to happen to them. Likewise, the good characters have me cheering them on, such is the writing of this author that I am fully embedded in the story and feeling every emotion throughout it.
This is a fast paced story that is easy to read because of its engaging storyline. It’s told from both Ettie and Leo’s, or Eleven’s, points of view which not only give us more story details but also a deeper understanding of each character.
I love the twists in the story making it extremely exciting. Bring on book two!
This one wasn’t really my thing, it was basically an ok read but I had a ton of issues with a lot of what happened spoiling my enjoyment and I don’t think I will be reading book two so this is really the end of the line for me.
So as I said essentially this was OK and the idea behind the story I actually thought was imaginative it was the execution of this and the characters themselves I struggled with.
So firstly the characters themselves seemed really immature not the whole brooding alpha male badass heroine vibe I was reaching for more like a couple of teenagers.
The Hero himself Eleven/Leo basically left poor Ettie to her fate after she helped them all escape from the labs.
This is a girl who had been speaking in his head for years keeping him sane and instead of going back for her after recovering from his own injuries he abandons her mainly because he doesn’t want to be recaptured.
Somebody else has to point out to him that the radio silence in his head might be the fact she’s actually dead and this was five years later, he then decides to go look for her like FIVE YEARS LATER!!! talk about too little too late dude and newsflash you don’t get a free pass for feeling guilty about it either.
I also didn’t understand why Ettie was so resistant to the mate bond, I mean ignore the way he had abandoned her she was over that quite swiftly even if I wasn’t, it was her reasons for resisting that connection that didn’t really make a whole lot of sense to me.
She was up in arms mainly because she didn’t want a bond that forced him to care against his will but she already knew he cared so it seemed a tad stupid and pointless: add in Leos reasons for not drinking from Ettie when he was most definitely going to die if he didn’t and was it really that important like kicking the bucket for important, I think not.
Also, Endy and Jacob whats with that: their overall prejudice against the blood-drinkers of the group was totally unexpected and considering the group’s collective origins I just can’t see them being that bigoted.
Despite their differences, they’re still connected and have been all there lives it just doesn’t make any real sense that they would feel this way towards each other and whats with Ettie crying a river for her mother I just can’t see it myself the woman nearly killed her.
Then there’s the ending it was just so anti-climatic all that build up and then over in a quick predictable flash.
Despite the above, there were things here that redeemed this slightly for me it wasn’t all on the down.
This in itself was quite an easy uncomplicated read with a dash of insta-love if that’s your thing.
I also loved how protective and Possessive Leo could get over Ettie ( after His Ungratefulness actually retrieved her an all in case your wondering).
I also really liked Seven or Stark as he named himself, in fact, I would say he was my favourite character here.
So yeh Mixed bag from me folks: if you like a less angsty more romantic type read then this may be a fit for you, unfortunately, this wasn’t my bag.

The twists and turns in Eleven had me going through the whole book. J has taken a Syfy type story and turned it on its back. What I thought I knew at the beginning of this story is diffidently not what you will know at the end.
I loved Ettie; we follow her through her childhood until she and Eleven finally get together. And we get their love story.
Eleven is an excellent beginning to a series. I can’t wait to see where Jordan goes with Eternals.
This is J Marie’s (Jordan Marie) first PNR, I love the PNR world and this book is so good. Has it own spin on the PNR world, which I absolutely love. I loved the character Ettie and the connection she has with Eleven. Such a great read
First book by J. Marie aka Jordan Marie and I loved it. I love the PNR genre and she nailed it. Once I started reading it I didn’t want to put it down. There were so many surprises in the book. I loved Eleven (Leo) and Ettie and all the secondary characters. Loved the sexual tension in the book, the alphaness with the jealousy and caring sides. Along with that you get the laugh out loud moments in the book, especially when Ettie was naming each of the guys. So many feels in this book.
If you love Vampires, grab this book.
Eleven and Ettie share a deep connection. Ettie meets Eleven as a child and helps him and others like him. Jordan Marie’s first paranormal romance. I would give it 10 stars if I could. All I can say is oh my damn!!! Oh my damn!!! It’s told in different points of view, no cheating, no cliffhanger, and a hea. I highly recommend this book.
I loved this book!!!! It’s been a while since I’ve read a new paranormal romance author and I was not disappointed. This story was so good and original and I couldn’t put it down. Leo and Ettie are perfect for each other, they both had difficult pasts and are looking to make their future better. The way the story developed was really engaging and I can’t wait to see how they grow as we get to know the other characters in the series.
Holy Crap, she has done it again. Jordan’s first ever venture into paranormal books is freaking out of this world GREAT. I loved every single word. I always knew she could write and it would be great, but with Eleven she has blown my mind. Thank you so much Jordan for jumping into the paranormal books. I can’t wait for more. I loved it and again thank you!!! From the very beginning to the very last word I couldn’t stop and I didn’t want the book to end. So I highly recommend you going and 1 clicking Eleven, you will definitely not be disappointed. You will be left hanging on and wanting more. Go read Eleven and not my review, the book is way better. Another fabulous 5 star read Mrs. Jordan Marie!!!
Oh my! This story starts out a little different, a bit intriguing and I couldn’t dig in quick enough. I love the dynamic of all the characters we meet but especially Ettie and Leo. This deep connection they’ve had for so long had me feeling connected to them as well. When I’m reading a story that pulls me in so deep that my heart starts pounding and I’m feeling anxious for the characters, I know I’m reading a great book. I have a feeling this is a start to what will be a great series. This is a must.
This is my first PRN book. Jordan Marie knocks Eleven out of the park! Leo and Etties story is fantastically written. The twist and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat. A definite must read.
This was an amazing book. I love the romance and the paranormal aspects of this book. It was incredible and I can not wait for more.
A great start to a new series!! When I heard that Jordan Marie was writing a PNR I was so excited!! She did not disappoint me. This book had me hooked and needing more now. Absolutely love Leo and can’t wait to read the next one.
A new take on vampires. Eleven is trapped and doesn’t think the voice he hears in his head is real. Ettie knows he’s real and is determined to save him. But how can she, she’s just a little girl? What happens years later when they finally find each other again?? Everything!!
You have to read this book!! I can’t wait for the the next!!
Vampires are my favorite supernatural being! Jordan Marie is one of my favorite authors! So this book was a no brainer, a had to read!!
It was awesome!!
An interesting storyline with twists and turns. A big twist that made me sit up and take serious notice because I needed to see how this was going to play out!!
A love story, a paranormal story with a bit of action thrown in to keep the story moving.
This is the authors first paranormal and this reader has fingers & toes crossed that there will be more!
what a ride! this is the book that I didn’t even know I needed. what an amazing, fresh take on a paranormal romance. I hung and clung to every single word and begged for more. I need more of this series ASAP. such a breath of fresh air.
Jordan Marie is the first author that got me hooked on e-books. I loved how she brought me into the story then, and now, after reading Eleven, I can honestly say that I am so glad to have been given the chance to see how she grew as an author.
Jordan Marie’s take on the paranormal world is refreshing, and the way she laid the groundwork for the upcoming books on this new series of hers has left me drooling and wishing that the rest of The Eternals — Stark, Sean, Endy, Jacob and of course, Oracle— let their stories be put in writing soon!
“SMALL DOESN’T MEAN WEAK..”
I have never really been into paranormal or supernatural books…but there hasn’t been a book to date written by Jordan Marie that I didn’t love…so if anyone can, I’m not surprised she’s going to be the one to bring me over to the “dark side.”……..
ELEVEN is about Eleven and Ettie, who meet when she is just a little girl…Eleven is a vampire who has lived his life in a lab being tested, tortured and trained by sadistic people, including Ettie’s mother….but Eleven (who Ettie renames, Leo) and Ettie have an immediate and deep connection and can even read each others’ thoughts…Ettie helps Leo and some others escape the facility but they lose touch for years….and she grows up…..Leo goes after Ettie, and, soon, it becomes apparent that Leo has found his mate…When the cruel lab owner goes after his escaped patients and Ettie, lots of action-packed surprises make ELEVEN a paranormal book that I really liked…..Actually, I loved ELEVEN!!!!
Let me start out by saying when one of my favorite authors said she was branching out into a new genre I was kind of hesitant because I didn’t know what to expect. Especially when authors usually Branch out they kind of flop. But BUT let me tell you that is NOT what happened here today.
Ettie heard his cries and feels his pain. It’s a connection that she doesn’t understand. Her mom is involved, her mom isn’t a nice mommy most of the time. All she wants to do is help Eleven.
Eleven is in pain always in pain. His only reprieve is the little girl in his head. Ettie. All he wants to do is try to live for her and all she wants to do is set him free. When the chance to set him free comes up, neither anticipated what she would have to sacrifice. Ettie and Eleven (Leo) have a connection that neither can explain. He has powers that haven’t been tapped yet and she has some that she can control. With uncertain powers comes people who are evil. Who can they trust to help.
Now years later when forces beyond them causes them to meet up to protect them. But again at what cost?
Ettie is smart, snarky, witty, and cautious. While Leo is unsure, all consuming, caring, protective and kind of a butt. I loved the opening of the book because it set the stage on what was happening. While I loved the both I wanted to strangle them also. When one wasn’t making me mad the other would come out of left field and make me mad.
Even the secondary characters had me laughing my butt off and so upset when the book ending because now I have to wait. I can’t wait for the series to progress and to see what happens next.
Outstanding job Jordan. Love Leo and Ettie’s story. Lots of action and had a story that just suck you in. Can wait to see what you have in store for us with series.
This was a great start to a new series! I just loved Leo and Ettie!! Leo and Ettie have been connected for years and then they aren’t. Things are not what they seem and when they re-connect- sparks fly and danger follows. This was a new take (for me) on paranormal and I really liked it! Won’t put any spoilers in my review but there are vampires…. a lab with sinister people … a friendship….. action…. sexy times…. secrets…. Just read it, you won’t be disappointed!!
