WARNING: This is a sexy, steamy reverse harem paranormal romance (one girl, four guys) with loads of humor, plumber puns, and group sex. Read with a glass of wine and a smile!Four hunky, supernatural plumbers. One reluctant, slightly drunk human.A match made in heaven … or in the bathroom, rather. My name is Arizona Smoke, and I’m the proud owner of a house haunted by my dead Gram, best friend to a … dead Gram, best friend to a cocktail dress loving werewolf, and apparent soul mate to four plumbers who also happen to be elemental dragons. Besides rippling pectorals, tattoos, and … uh, nice, long pipes, the guys also have control of the elements.
Supernatural law (whoever heard of such a thing anyway?) dictates that since I stumbled upon the guys in their alternate forms, I have to marry them. All four of them. Oh, and apparently one lousy (okay, awesome) night of sex means that I’m an elemental, too—and no amount of magical penicillin can cure this disease.
All I wanted was hot running water and toilets that flushed, but now I’m dealing with monsters lurking in the sewers, supernatural politics, and four penniless (but totally hot) plumbers living in my crumbling old Victorian.
I’m Ari Smoke, wine aficionado, ex-barista, and a girl who is completely out of her element.
Having four hot husbands is nice … but the death threats, not so much.
ELEMENTS OF MISCHIEF is a full-length comedic paranormal, reverse harem romance. This means our leading lady has four male love interests (or more!) and doesn’t have to choose between them. This book is full of steamy sex, ridiculous plumbing puns, and heaps of action, intrigue, and … well, more puns. This is book 1 of 3.

It was fun. It was silly. And didn’t take itself seriously in the slightest. Honestly, it was a good time. Also, the recurring joke of “I was a barista, not a *insert random profession here*” kept making me smile.
Paranormal plumbers, silly puns and all sorts of fun as Arizona and her crew auger their way through all sorts of hijinks. This book had me laughing my ass off.
I was in a book group and someone asked for funny paranormal book recommendation and this one was suggested. I like harem books with paranormal elements but I hadn’t read one that was funny so I jumped on this one. I loved this one. Arizona is a great character. She can be stubborn and a little whinny at times but I still liked her. She inherits her Gram’s house, which is pretty much a mess. She hires some plumbers to fix the plumbing. These four plumbers, Shane, George, Reg, and Billy, are special, they are elemental dragons and also her sole mates. These five together are funny. There are puns in here that had me laughing. As Arizona gets to know her mates and learn more about elemental world and herself, there is danger lurking and a potential other elemental dragon mate. I enjoyed this read and will read book two soon.
I ended up really loving this book. This book has comedy, action, and plenty of steamy paranormal romance in the form of elementals. There are also other paranormals that make appearances such as succubi, Incubi, werewolves, witches, and fae.
This book was completely different from anything else that I have ever read, and I am so glad I happened to buy this book, because it was worth every minute of my time. I was up all night reading this book, and it felt awesome to have such a change in pace for a book. Between the humor and the action I had so much fun reading this book.
I would recommend this book to people 18 and up due to steamy scenes and some language and comedy not suitable for young readers.
CM and Tate did an awesome job with this. I had been wanting to read this since I heard about it and was not disappointed at all. I loved it even more than I had thought I would! This idea is so unique and different, it is a must-read. Whoever reads this will not be disappointed.
The puns in this book were amusing, I knew some of them, which amused me even more! There are steamy sex scenes which will make you blush and look over your shoulder to make sure no one is watching what you are reading. All the guys are great and so is Ari. I loved this book and wish I could give it a higher rating than available.
I liked it, But the characters were a bit much (too snarky) for me. I couldn’t read the second book.
I LOVE THIS!

I have found a HILARIOUS Reverse Harem series that I am SO glad I jumped into. Elements of Mischief, of the Hijinks Harem series, is fast becoming one of my favorites. Written by two phenomenal writers, C.M. Stunich & Tate James, it’s obvious that the book could be nothing but amazing.
I love this book. I think it shows a different dynamic then the “rich guy/guys, poor girl” scenario we usually see. And I like it because of that, and the puns are absolutely hilarious, I totally laughed out loud and then was asked what I was reading and then told my mom that she would just have to read it!
So I can fully admit that is was the cover art that drew me to this book but after reading the synopsis I got really curious. This made me decide why not and give it a try though this is a new genre to me that I was not sure I would be comfortable with. To make a long story short I loved every single minute of this book (though less plumber jokes would have been useful as this seemed a little overdone) and was upset when I ran out pages. Meet Arizona who due to circumstances is stuck in her dead grandmas rundown house with no working plumbing. Broke she calls for an estimate but since she cannot really pay he refers her to another group that may be able to help her. This leads to some crazy stuff as the plumbers are really part of the supernatural community that she has no clue exists. What follows is a crash course of this new world mixed with some really steamy (yet remarkably well done) sex scenes to create a fast paced story that I was unable to put down (I only went to bed because I had to but it made me sad to do so). Ghost granny had me cracking up and Arizona’s reactions throughout the whole thing are so realistic are I couldn’t help but giggle or agree with her. This is a great team of writers that can obviously write an incredible book together. If you enjoy steamy supernatural romance novels you have to give this a try even if you are new to reverse harems in general. I loved it so much I have to give it 5/5 stars. Now to get my hands on the next installment in the series so I can keep up with what is going on…..
