My one piece of advice: Never kiss a stranger. See, I kind of kissed this sexy man at the bar on a dare once, and it turns out he’s a Royal Fae destined to be my mate. Now I’ve been dragged to the Elemental Fae Academy to control the powers I unlocked that night. So kissing? Yeah, that won’t happen again. Nope. Lesson learned. Except, I kind of kissed Titus, too. And well, now, I’m in a world of … Titus, too. And well, now, I’m in a world of trouble. I keep burning things down, flooding dorms, and I’ve attracted the campus mean girl brigade.
This Fae Realm is a nightmare come to life. Truly.
But there are dreams here, too.
Sexy ones.
And they’re in the form of five Elemental Fae mentors. They’re supposed to help me control my powers, but who’s going to keep the elements from controlling me?
Note: This is a medium burn reverse harem paranormal romance, and book one of the Elemental Fae Academy trilogy.

Elemental Fae Academy is the first book in the Elemental Fae Academy Trilogy by Lexi C. Foss and J.R Thorn. I am a huge fan of Ms. Foss and have devoured most of her books now- so diving into this book/series was a given. Ms. Thorn is a new-to-me author, but after reading this book and some further stalking, um I mean investigation, I have found a whole new catalogue of books that I can’t wait to explore.
This book was everything I had hoped for, and much more. I am always a little hesitant around reverse harem stories, because I’ve been left disappointed in the past- but this book won me over in the first few pages and happily lost myself in the story for a few hours.
This is a sublime fantasy with a reverse harem/PNR romance. There’s plenty of action, drama, danger, hidden agendas, tension, mystery, and sizzling chemistry. The story is definitely on the sexy side- and the heat is turned up to simmer.
I love how these two authors style blended together so smoothly- I couldn’t tell where one started and the other picked up. The world building is masterful- creating a rich, vivid, and fully realised world in which to set the story. The authors attention to detail, and many creative and imaginative touches really brought the story to life. The characters are really superb- so well developed with their own unique personalities, quirks and flaws. I am so invested in them and the outcome of the story that there is no way I won’t be finishing the trilogy
Claire thought she was a regular, human, college student going about her normal life- until the night of her twenty-first birthday- when she kisses a sexy stranger and all hell broke loose. Her world is turned upside down. She finds herself in another realm, one of Elemental Faes and magic. She seriously wonders if she’s losing her mind- because Faes and magic don’t exist, right? But it soon discovers she is in fact a halfling with destructive elemental powers that are out of control. She also has a legacy which puts her in danger. So, the Fae council decide to send her to the Elemental Fae Academy and appoint guardians and mentors- who are task with keeping her safe and teaching her how to use and control her powers. But that’s easier said than done. There is also a prophecy and a curse to contend with. Not to mention the ‘mean girls’ of the Academy, more power than she knows what to do with, some fiery chemistry, some seriously sexy men, and an intriguing ‘new’ world to learn about. So, when strange and very dangerous things start happening, it becomes apparent that there is someone with a hidden agenda- and Claire and her men can’t help but feel like there is something important that they are missing? What happens you ask? Well I really recommend you read all the spellbinding details for yourself- you’re sure to love it just as much as I have.
The story is told from several points of view- which really gives the reader a greater perspective of what’s happening. It has a great pace, and a very smooth flow- which makes a quick and easy read.
The story is so cleverly woven with intrigue and suspense- and the danger element ramps the tension up to maximum. My mind was swirling with possible scenarios, and potential outcomes- so I was on the edge of my seat at times looking for clues to what was really going on and trying to pinpoint the bad guy. Needless to say, the story is quite unpredictable- and there were quite a few surprising developments. The ending has me chaffing at the bit to get my hands on the next book. Luckily, we don’t have long to wait. Definitely one of my favourite reads for this year!
Brilliant!
Thank you, Lexi C. Foss & J.R Thorn!

I loved this story so much! When I first read the blurb I wasn’t quite sure, reverse harem stories are quite new to me but I do love Lexi Foss and have read many of her books so I knew I needed to give it a go and I am so glad that I did!! J R Thorn is a new to me author so I was really excited to read something by her also! I loved that the authors writing styles complemented each other so well – I have no idea which author wrote what everything just blended together seamlessly. I honestly loved every second of it! I loved Claire, I thought that she was a great character, full of sassiness which I loved especially when faced with everything that she has been faced with. I can only imagine her decisions when faced with Exos and Titus! Oh my gosh they are both off the charts hot!!!! Titus was easier to like straight away, he had this warmth and kindness to him and he instantly made Claire feel at ease, whereas Exos made me work to like him – he wasn’t warm like Titus but he had something about him that drew me to him straight away! I loved them both! I am really excited to read the next two books in the trilogy and get to know some of the other secondary characters more!
Elemental Fae Academy (Elemental Fae Academy Book 1) by Lexi C. Foss and J.R Thorn
5 Stars
I have read many books by Lexi C. Foss and loved them all. After reading this book, I know this will be another series that I will adore. I fell in love with these characters: Titas ( the scorchingly hot Fire Fae), Exos (the arrogantly all powerful Spirit Fae) and Claire ( the beautiful and fated). This reverse harem starts out as a small ember that quickly ignites to an all consuming blaze. You will definitely need a cold shower after some of these steamy scenes.
Although the chemistry between the characters is palpable and the sex scenes exciting, there is more to this book. Claire’s powers awaken on her twenty first birthday and Exos whisks her away to the Fae Realm to be her mentor. With her not knowing that she is half fae and her powers out of control, Claire is too dangerous to remain in the human realm. Unfortunately, most of the Fae want her dead. Claire must accept who she is, learn to control her powers and find out who is framing her for causing chaos before she gets killed.
This story had a nice twist having the fae represent the different elements instead of the usual light or dark fae. The book had me enthralled until the end. Omg, what an ending! I’m left hanging, waiting with bated breath for the next book!
This is the first book that i have read by these authors and i loved it. It is an Reverse Harem Romance which means by the end of the series the MC will end up with more than one man. I love RH so i knew as soon as i saw this, i needed to read it. And i was not disappointed! I finished this book in one setting because i couldn’t put it down. The main characters are fantastic and i was excited to see where their stories were headed. This book does have multiple POVs and that gave us more info on the men in this book and i loved that!
This story is about Claire whose world gets turned upside down when she discovers she is a halfling…. Meaning she is half Fae and half human. She had no idea there was this hidden part of her and she has to get her powers under control if she wants to keep the people around her and herself safe. She is put into a fae academy where she will hopefully learn how to control her ever growing powers.
There is a lot of mystery in this book, you don’t know what is going to happen next and it makes things exciting. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series and i would recommend this to anyone that likes RH Academy series!
This is the first book in this new paranormal series. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. It has a little bit of everything in it from action to romance. I was pulled in right from the start and engaged to the end. The characters, especially Claire, brought this story to life. Who knew the power of one kiss. Claire has special powers that normal Fae do not have but does she realize how powerful they really are and what they could destroy? Great story and great characters, I highly recommend it.
So I just got into Fae books and this was astounding! Slight heat that stole my breath at the uniqueness of it. I’m in love with Exos and Titan and Claire is just amazing. A book that left me feeling excited for the next book. I couldn’t put it down. A true five star must read!! Even if you aren’t I to paranormal like reads. Loved this
I absolutely, completely LOVED this book! At first, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it, but it’s actually a combination of like everything I love in books. My only complaint is that Claire is a little annoying in the beginning of the book, but once she gets invested in her new life, she’s a much more relatable character. Titus is super fun to read, and Exos really grew on me in likeability through the book. I will say that it does have a cliffhanger, more so than Lexi’s usual books, but it is SO good and just leaves you wanting more. I already wanted book 2 before I even finished the book. It’s an easy world to lose yourself in. I can’t wait for the next book and definitely recommend this one to fans of fantasy, paranormal romance, RH, and really pretty much anyone that likes their books to be sexy page-turners.
Exos is hot! Titus is HOT! I love how fascinating the Fae’s little world is and how these two hot and hotter guys help Claire navigate around, train and mentor her. I need book 2 in this series!
Wow, that was one seriously sexy ending! This is an awesome storyline, I really want to know what’s going on and what will happen next. I really love these characters too, Claire is really shaken up which is understandable considering everything, but once she gains her confidence toward the end there, I really knew I was going to love her. Titus is sweet and firey haha but definitely sexy and Exos is just all around sexy af, I dig the jerks with soft hearts. I really look forward to reading what happens next for them!
Elemental Fae Academy by Lexi Foss
This is the start of an RH series and let me say right now this is NOT your typical wham bam we are all happy in the harem story!
Claire is celebrating her 21st birthday doing what many do -drinking and having fun with friends.
All is good in her world until a seemingly harmless dare turns her world upside down.
Exos has the royal blood required to make him king but he abdicated the role to his brother, the more rational of the two. He prefers the challenge of an enforcer to the bland life of a ruler.
When the halfling Claire comes of age the council must decide her fate. By a narrow margin, the decision is made to bring her over. Exos has been assigned as her protector and her mentor.
The question is can he protect himself from her?
This ends on a Cliffhanger — major cliff hanger
I wanted to add a couple of things to my original review ~
Claire is one of those heroines that tugs at your great – you can’t help but root for her. Yeah, she was a bit “confused” maybe even a little volatile when she first wakes up but come on Exos was not helping the situation. Once she finds her fae legs .. she is a force to be reckoned with (honestly before she is stable she is a force all her own). I reveled in her spirit, her ability to bounce back and try again. Over. And over. And over. Until it worked. Until it felt right.
Originally I didn’t like Exos he was such an arse. I realized why this second time reading it (I can’t believe I missed it the first time). He was angry for good reason. I’m not sure angry is the right word I think shocked, unsure maybe? Exos is such a grumpy but(t) on the outside but on the inside, he is all squishy marshmallowy goodness . Don’t let that fool you though he is not one to be messed with.
Definitely my kind of BBF.
Titus is the next most dominant character in this first book. He is a fire fae and darn is that boy (sorry, man) hot! He is a bit late himself to the fae party so he gets where Claire is coming from. He is a bit quick to anger but he also has an ability to connect with Claire on a different level than grumpy but(t). IMO it has a lot to do with his background.
Did I mention his element is fire? Yes … wait till you see what he can do with fire. Holy hotness!!
As for our little group of mean girls – there is a lot more there going on than what meets the eye.
I think I know who the darkness is… (**squealing**)
The authors have created an extraordinary world with a solid story line and an epic cast.
I need book two … yesterday

ONE FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC TREAT!!!
Smack down baby! These amazing authors really take this genre to a whole new level. Chaos and mayhem ensues in epic proportions with this awesome storyline and gripping plot as they bounce this baby right on home. All the trials and tribulations along with the throng of mishaps meld this baby together smoothly. A throng of startling circumstances and a slew of surprising events blast those churning emotions forward front and center. Personalities, attitudes and dynamics are 100% on point with such realism it blows this baby wide open. The realism and authenticity of the characters as their on point personalities blend and connect along with such colorfully detailed scenes that catapults this baby to life beautifully. Fantastic job guys, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
Elemental Fae Academy is probably the best reverse harem I’ve read. Why? Because she slowly meets each mate and bonds with them on a level I’ve never seen. I’m completely and wholly enraptured by this start of a series and need more now!
Claire has a long and hard road in front of her. Once believing she’s only human to finding out she’s part Fae will mess with anyone’s mind. She struggles with her new reality. Thankfully she has some great men, and eye candy, to help settle her. Claire’s spirit and fight will draw you in, while her determination to prove she isn’t her mother will keep you from putting the book down. Exos, at first, is a bit of an asshole. Soon though he shows his true colors. Exos is naughty and sweet, as well as a badass. Titus is complete passion. If passion was a person, it’d definitely be Titus. Not only is he passionate, but he also has a sweet side that melts your heart. We also meet Vox, I really want to know more about Vox. He’s very dedicated to his craft and sweet. He’s also going to fight his attraction a bit.
This was a killer start to a new series! So many things happening yet you can feel the emotions pop out of the book. Spirit, passion, confusion, guilt, love, acceptance, and determination. I need more of this story!
This is one HAWT adventure that hooked me in from the very start.
This is one of those books that you just can’t read quickly enough. You are desperate to read it and find out what happens next, yet you don’t want to get to the end either. I was thoroughly captivated by every single word, falling in love with the three main characters and enjoying every moment of adventure. There wasn’t a single thing I would want to change about this book. It has dimensional main characters, emotions, reactions and feelings I could relate too, a decent amount of heat and an exciting plot. Oh and great world building – I can’t not mention the fantastic world this story is set in.
in this first book of a trilogy we meet half-ling Claire and two of her future mates, Exos and Titus. Exos is Fae royalty and the strongest spirit elemental in the realm, whilst Titus is a fire elemental and a bit of a loner. Until a rather disastrous 21st birthday party, Claire never even knew her mother was a Fae, never knew her mother at all. Claire is caught up in a whole strange new world, and it takes her a while to adapt. Things aren’t helped by the interference of malevolent outside forces and 3 bitchy college girls. Her panic and despair felt so real, I could feel my heart breaking for, and with, Claire’s. She is such an easy to like character and is a big part of what makes this a great read.
Exos was quite an unfeeling ass at first, though as we got to know him he does grow on you. The authors also cleverly and subtly wove explanations for his original aloofness into the story. Titus is very different to Exos, avoiding the usual pitfall of an RH story where the males are often interchangeable. I liked that we only met two of her harem, well technically three but only two with which she became intimate. This allowed Claire to form a believable connection and bond with the pair of them. I’m just hoping that they don’t ‘disappear’ from future books as the remaining males are introduced into the mix.
If the remaining two books are only half as good as this it will still be a fabulous series. And I need those books NOW!!!!
Paranormal at its best
Elemental Fae Academy Book 1 by Lexi C. Foss and J.R. Thorn is unlike anything I’ve ever read but it captured me and I can’t wait to read more!
Exos is a warrior and is called in by the Council to discuss Claire, a halfling……half human and half an elemental fae, living in the human realm about to come into her powers, and unaware of who she is! However, when Exos goes to retrieve her things don’t quite go as planned! When she reaches the fae realm she is overwhelmed and losing control constantly. Exos calls in for some more help, this time in the form of TitusThis essentially leads to some and confusion for Claire….to be unravelled as the story unfolds
This book had a little more in it than when I read it originally in the anthology I made sure to read part 1 again and proceeded onto the added part 2 and it blew my mind. So much secrecy and hidden intent but also steaminess….with an introduction to a new possible mate for Claire But as I got closer to the end I started questioning what I had learned….now just to see if I’m on the right trail
This paranormal is a reverse harem which I don’t normally indulge in but I absolutely love anything Lexi writes so I dove straight in and as I said before I can’t wait for Book 2 and 3. Thank you to Lexi for my advanced copy for which I voluntarily leave my honest review

Oh my, this was just so Fabulous!!!
Really wasn’t sure if this was going to be my thing especially since reverse-harem is a bit hit and miss for me well this for me was a sure hit.
I absolutely bloody adored this, these authors have smashed it out the park with there contribution to this Paranormal collection and I for one can’t wait for the next piece of this addictive and magical tale.
This story involves Clare a halfling who has no idea of her origins, raised on earth as a mortal by her paternal grandparents her powers kickstart on the eve of her 21st birthday.
Whisked off to the Fae realm by the delectable but oh so arrogant Exos a powerful Royal Spirit Fae who has been assigned as her protector.
Add into the mix Titus a Fire Fae who Clare also feels an instant connection to and we have some definite fireworks.
So this really hooked my attention and I am so looking forward to experiencing more of this fascinating world in the near future.
An imaginative undertaking that was extremely well written as well as being hot as Hades.

So having originally read the first part of this in the anthology it was in earlier this year I was ever so excited to get stuck into the rest of the story.
I reread this from the beginning just to get the whole entire experience in one go and part 2 most certainly lived up to my set prior expectations.
This was just so enthralling and I enjoyed every minute especially the natural progression of Clare’s relationships with her Fae mate’s Titus and Exos.
I was also intrigued to see certain individuals being added tentatively to the current mix and I am looking forward to seeing how this dynamic evolves somewhat going forward.
In terms of heat, I would describe this reverse harem as a medium build and it manages to stoke the flames higher and higher to a level akin with total combustion.
Filled with fire and spirit and empathetic emotion throughout this is a sensual and engrossing read: one that I really do recommend highly: It really was such a breath of fresh air.
And my god that finale I really need the next book like yesterday and I will be holding my breath in total anticipation until it’s in my greedy mitts.
for further clarification, this review is now for the whole story which has now been released in its complete entirety.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Elemental Fae Academy.

This is book 1 of a 3 book series, and I find myself asking if I seriously have to wait for book 2 and 3? The answer, sadly, is yes. But I know they will be out soon so that SHOULD placate me. It doesn’t, but it should! LOL. This story is a medium burn reverse harem, meaning our heroine won’t have to worry about choosing between the hot guys she is attracted to, she’ll literally get to have her beefcake and eat it too!
Claire is thrust into a new and strange world because she kisses a hot guy at the bar. Things really heat up from there, literally. She burns the bar down with one kiss. She learns she is part fae and that kiss unlocked powers she never knew she had. The stranger happened to be a prince of the Fae who is a potential mate for her. Sadly, while the attraction is there, his people skills leave much to be desired. At least at the start.
Claire is a rarity, she has access to all five elements while most Fae are only able to access one. This is where being able to have her cake and eat it to really becomes the best part. Each of her elements will potentially be attracted to a different guy and they will, in turn, help her learn to harness these abilities that threaten to overtake and destroy not only Claire but the world of all Fae.
This book has us meeting, at least in passing, most of the guys she is attracted to, while also has her facing the mean girl brigade at the Academy (a school to help all Fae harness and expand their elemental control). The end is a major cliffhanger, though, and had me screaming (oh so silently) noooo as I got to it.
Some of the connections and interactions are a bit rough, but the story kept me turning the page. Lexi and J.R. work well together to give a story that keeps you interested, steam factors galore, and hot men to appreciate. With a bit of suspense, action, and intrigue along the way. I cannot wait for the next book in this series!
This book is like discovering a new flavour ice cream, it’s like that first sip of cider on a really hot day. It’s amazing.
I am literally gobsmacked at how much in love with these Fae that i am. I want them all. I want to devour the series in one sitting and know that its going to stay with me for a long time.
However, this book is only part 1. That sucks because this book is so enthralling that you cant help but have a clawing need to read the rest. It’s not a want but a very definite need.
So far we’ve been introduced to pretty much the entire reverse harem but a ew haven’t been put into detail and that’s okay because it is jam packed with stuff involving the main three of this book, Titus, Exos and Vox. Really cool names for really cool guys. And HOT. Did i mention that already? No? My bad.
The storyline and world building are amazing. These authors really go into depth without going hella descriptive. It doesn’t need that and fortunately doesn’t have that. They’re amazing at giving you what you need.
Am i impatient and wanting the second book like now? YES!
Will i be patient? Probably NOT!!
But I will tell you that I’ll be waiting with excruciating bated breath for the second instalment to hit my kindle and I know, with absolute certainty, that it will be worth the wait!
In ‘Elemental Fae Academy: Book One’, Claire is ripped from her human world—the only one she knows—and thrown into a world where fae and magic are very real. This book does an excellent job of finding balance between her disbelief and culture shock and her eventual acceptance that this new world is indeed real.
As it happens, it’s also slow-burn on the ‘steam’ side of things. While the groundwork is laid perfectly for multiple attractions, and there is some insta-attraction and insta-feels, it plays out at a very comfortable pace that doesn’t make it feel like insta-love. It just fits perfectly for the elemental fae culture, which the authors depict perfectly. If you’re not sure how you feel about reverse harem, or don’t get the ‘why choose’ concept, this book and part of Clarie’s plight is a great place to start.
Character development is advanced. Characters’ individual voices are strong and consistent and you get to know the different personalities and backgrounds easily as this is so well woven into this novel and everything else going on.
Despite this taking place in a non-human realm, it’s still highly relatable. The Elemental Fae Academy is complete with cliques and mean girls, for example, and while the culture is different the intrapersonal interaction is basically what you might expect from such an environment.
The steamy scenes are like no others I’ve read, as the authors manage to work the elements in, making it not just hot, but also intriguing.
The world-building here is perfect. I’m not new to J.R. Thorn, I’m actually a huge fan. But I hadn’t gotten around to reading Lexi C. Foss yet. This book definitely made me realize it’s time to prioritize reading more Foss, as there’s no way either author involved here is capable of producing anything less than awesome. As a reader, I feel extremely lucky that the two have joined forces.
Note:
I listened to this book and the narrator is amazing! Most audiobooks annoy me and I rarely finish them. This one, I never wanted to turn off.
5 addicted stars.
I loved this book, the whole series has been amazing and addictive, and this one was so dramatic and action packed with so many surprisng twists. I can’t wait to get started on Elemental Fae Holiday to see how it all ends.
I NEEDED to start this book the second I finished book 2; and was not disappointed. It picks up right where book 1 leaves off and doesn’t waste any time getting into the dilemma, mystery, drama, impending doom/war and … it’s still really hot.
And that INSANELY GORGEOUS cover?! Is not just a pretty cover … it fits perfectly.
And still, as chaos ensues, the talented authors work in little details and I find myself also enjoying how Claire and her mates sort of fall into being and considering one another as family. This series has so much going on and I’m still living for it … long after having finished it.
It evolves just perfectly enough in a way that has the stakes escalate a bit, has Claire growing and her mates’ powers, etc. as a result … it’s really well done and I can’t help but admire the authors. Definitely will be reading all I can from both.
Now, onto Foss’s Midnight Fae Academy series because this world is a drug and I’ve got to have more.
5 stars.
