My one piece of advice: Never kiss a stranger. See, I kind of kissed this sexy man at the bar on a dare once, and it turns out he’s a Royal Fae destined to be my mate. Now I’ve been dragged to the Elemental Fae Academy to control the powers I unlocked that night. So kissing? Yeah, that won’t happen again. Nope. Lesson learned. Except, I kind of kissed Titus, too. And well, now, I’m in a world of … Titus, too. And well, now, I’m in a world of trouble. I keep burning things down, flooding dorms, and I’ve attracted the campus mean girl brigade.
This Fae Realm is a nightmare come to life. Truly.
But there are dreams here, too.
Sexy ones.
And they’re in the form of five Elemental Fae mentors. They’re supposed to help me control my powers, but who’s going to keep the elements from controlling me?
Note: This is a medium burn reverse harem paranormal romance, and book one of the Elemental Fae Academy trilogy.

Whirlwind of a ride!
Claire grew up orphaned and raised by her grandparents. At arms length is a kind way of putting it. Berated her entire life for the so called cruelty her mother showed by abandoning her father and herself saying she’d return, and in fact never did so. She’s no memories of her, and just the coldness of being raised in a loveless home since her father died soon after her mum vanished. Seems her grandparents though kind enough to raise her, took all their blame and anger out on her. Cut to her 21st birthday where she’s escaping life and partying with her BFFs. As a rule she’s more introverted, so when Rick dares her to kiss to the supreme hotty at the bar she does just that.
B O O M!!!
Little did Claire think her entire world would change in that very instant! A fire like no other starts at the bar and Exos aka Hotty McHotterson barely manages to get Claire to safety and out of the mass flames. Sadly her friend Rick didn’t survive, and Exos fears Claire’s response upon learning. Bad enough she’s about to learn she’s a fae halfling of prophecy that can yield FIVE elements, when only the most special among them yield two. This golden child that shines with pure goodness wasn’t raised to know anything about the Fae. Nor does she know what her mother did by possibly sacrificing herself for Claire. Worst of all she doesn’t know that she, Claire is purported to be either the savior or Doomsbringer of ALL fae. Now to tell ALL this to one young lady? It’s too much! Yet he’s charged with doing just that.
The next time Claire awakens she’s in a strange place with faces she doesn’t know. Her learning will fast begin, and her heart will break. Yet under it all is a kind hearted, FIERCE female that will do ANYTHING when it comes to those she cares for or innocents. Goddess help those on the wrong side! She’ll quickly have to come up to speed on all things Fae, elements, royalty, and find out EXACTLY what happened to her mother and why?!? (Sidenote: I for one am leaning on the side that maybe the story the fae say about her mum is just that ….a story. I’ve a sinking feeling her mum might not be the big bad everyone believes her to be. Then again I could be wrong). Claire will have to work overtime with her friends on learning all she can, and avoiding the fae mean girl crew. My money is on Claire! I can’t wait to see what’s next in book two, and possibly unmask part of the real big bad. After all, rarely is it just one person .
Lexi C. Foss is already one of my go-to authors, so picking up this read was a no brainer! Adding J.R. Thorn into the mix made for an epic read!
I was captivated and entranced by this read from the start. Nothing could make me put this read down. This read was beautifully written it was mentally visual and had some amazing characters with an even better storyline. From the moment I started this read, I have been weaved into an amazing fantasy world that I can’t help but want to be a part of.
This book was easy to read and it flowed effortlessly from chapter to chapter.
I absolutely cannot wait to be drawn back into this series again, and to see where Book #2 takes us! Until then most definitely do not miss this read!
Elemental Fae Academy was a great 5 star read and book one in the Elemental Fae Academy series. This is my first read from these authors and I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more from this series. This is a reverse harem and I couldn’t put the book down until I was done.
Claire has been raised by her grandparents, not knowing what she really was. When Claire kisses someone in a bar things change quickly. She finds out that she is really a fae and she now has powers. She finds out who the stranger she kissed is, he is also a fae.
Claire is different than most fae, she finds herself attracted to five different men due to the five elements. The men help Claire get control of her powers. She also has to deal with a mean girl group at the school where she is learning.
There is so much more that goes one. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. I will warn we get a heck of a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book. 1-click and get started today on this great series.
Elemental Fae Academy by Lexi Foss and J.R Thorn was a fun paranormal read! I would give this book a four out of five stars. I loved the world building, the authors did a great job creating the world without being overly detailed. The information you find out comes at a good pace as well, which just makes the whole story flow. Claire’s world was rocked based on a dare and her character slowly acclimates to her new reality. I love the idea of a reverse harem and am always looking for one that also has a really good story and this book met that goal.
Elemental Fae Academy (Elemental Fae Academy Book 1) by Lexi C. Foss & J.R. Thorn – Review by Randall Murphy
The author builds a new and intoxicating world that keeps the imagination engaged. The characters have depth and are presented in a way that makes them very real to the reader. The story is entertaining, interesting, and a little naughty. It has something to offer any reader of romance, mythical fiction, or just good story telling. While the good guys and bad guys seem pretty identifiable, there are enough twists and turns to keep you wondering how the main character will work her way through the difficulties.
The Elemental Fae Academy (Elemental Fae Academy #1) by Lexie C. Foss & J.R. Thorn was a fun book that I enjoyed a lot. I found it to be engaging and it definitely kept me interested. The sex scenes were smoking hot. I like the writing style and the characters. Overall I enjoyed it and would rate it 4 stars! Can’t wait to read the rest of the books.
I give Elemental Fae Academy: Book One: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance by Lexi C. Foss & J.R. Thorn, 5 stars.
Claire is out celebrating her birthday when she feels an odd overwhelming attraction to a complete stranger at the bar. On a dare, she goes over and kisses him. Little does she know what she really started. She passes out and the next thing she knows, she wakes up in a place of fairy tales, told things she cannot really believe. Are these people crazy? Maybe not, since part of her deep down knows the truth — that she’s not completely human. But having powers? And being attracted to more than one man? Can she handle her new life?
I could not believe just how good this book was. The story is engaging and keeps you on your toes. There is adventure, action, humor, and of course, romance. But really, it’s the characters that really make this book exceptional. Claire herself is what any girl would be when told all of this. Yet she follows her heart, something everyone should do. The men, while each one is completely different, are all so real and you want to get to know them better. Let us not forget the secondary characters too, they are also unforgettable. I could not put this book down and am rushing to read the next in the series, something I haven’t felt the absolute need to do in a long time.
This is a spicey book with plenty of heat, and an alternative lifestyle involving multiple men. If you are okay with reading that, I completely recommend this book. Go get it now!
What a great storyline I was engrossed I just couldn’t pull my eyes away from the page’s. I’ve really grown to love this author and I’m always excited to read more. I was unable to see the book down so I finished it all in one sitting and I don’t feel one bit guilty that i did Haha i just was soooo stuck to the pages.
Elemental Fae Academy is the first book in the Elemental Fae Academy series by Lex C. Foss & J. R. Thorn. This story has reverse harem paranormal. Romance, and fantasy. The characters pop of the page which make them that more real as they can be apart of the real world. The story is about Claire. Claire thinks that she is a normal human college student. This all changes when she turned twenty-one and kisses a handsome stranger. Claire finds out that she is apart of the Fae community. All of this is new to her and she has a lot to learn and as quickly as she can. There is so much more involved that meets the eye, that I cannot give out too much. You will have to read and see for yourself. I love this story so much that I cannot wait to read the other books in this series.
Seriously impressive world building. The amount of detail is perfect and well delivered. The writing is light, and quick. The characters are relatable, likeable and HOT. I could not put this book down-An absolute page turner. Solid job. 5 stars.
Elemental Fae Academy: Book One: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance by Lexi C. Foss & J.R. Thorn is a fabulous start to this paranormal fantasy series by the dynamic duo. Separately their work is great but together, brilliant. Reverse harem stories are ok if done well and this is a sizzling tale done oh so good. But that is not all that is great about this story, there is magic and mystery, drama and action, lies and danger, and the heat is turned way up.
Everything is easily imagined as the details takes you to a world so vivid and rich that you easily get lost in it. The characters are well developed and you become invested with them. It is told from multiple points of view, which I absolutely love as it really gives you a deeper look of what is happening and what the characters are thinking. Definitely one of my fav reads this year.
Clare awakes and finds herself in a whole new world and discovers that she is more than she could have ever imagined. A dare that started it all and that a kiss is not just a kiss. Coming into her magic is not an easy feat and one that needs to be harnessed and controlled quickly or there will be dire consequences. Not only that, she has the use of more than one powerful magic and each magic calls to like magic, creating some explosive chemistry. With a past legacy putting her in danger, protecting her is easier said than done.
The spellbinding story is unique and I can’t wait to read what comes next. It does end on a cliffhanger and I want to smack the authors for leaving me hanging.
So I was completely hooked on needing to read these books from the moment I read a few teasers floating around. I had some reservations at first because both the authors are new to me and I frankly despise most reverse harem novels. However, this book could not have hit it more squarely on the perfect mark if it tried. I was sucked into this imaginative, bright, and shiny new world full of steamy intrigue and magic I never knew existed. Elemental Fae Academy brings to life this fae world where Clare, our main character, is thrust to exist in when she receives her gifts on the eve of her 21st birthday.
If you think that sounds like enough for a fabulous and exciting storyline, you are probably right, but the authors throw us this harem built between the ever so sexy Exos and Titus and Clare. This gives us hot, hot scenes that will leave you gasping for air as much as Clare. It adds a much needed layer to the story that elevates this to being among the best I have read of harem romance. I am dying to know what will come next and honestly devouring book two is my plans for the evening right after I finish this review! I can’t wait to see what will happen!
This fell into my hands at just the right time. I loved this book. What an unexpected treat! From the summary I knew I would enjoy it but I wasn’t prepared to be thrown into this new world and become immersed and transfixed so quickly. The characters jumped off the page. The main character and her sudden transport into the Fae Realm, the discovery of the Fae Realm… all of it was extremely well written and fun to read. I thoroughly enjoyed this quick and engaging read and cannot wait to pick up book two in the series. Loved it!

WHAT HAS REALLY WORKED FOR ME
Addictiveness: 5/5 I’m in love with this series. Really amazing! I’ve read in one sitting, because I couldn’t let go. It kept me wanting more until the end. As addictive as chocolate!!!
Character: heroes 5/5, heroine 5/5, secondary characters 5/5, growth 5/5, real 3/5 Very complex characters with lots of depth. The authors took their time to create the characters and also have left room for them to grow.
Claire: What a heroine. I love her. She is courageous, fun, loyal and very friendly. Life has given her lemons and she has been making lemonade the whole time. She is young, but brave. She has her weak moments, but she always finds her inner strength to learn from these moments. A kickass heroine!
Exos: Gorgeous, royal, mature. He has the arrogance of someone that truly believes he is the leader of his people. His approach at the beginning not the best, but he learns fast from his mistakes. He is protective and very sexy.
Titus: I don’t know, he maybe my favorite. He is young, but mature. He is not royal, but powerful. He is a sweetheart. The way he instinctively knows how to connect with Claire is beautiful. He is possessive, but learns how to share. He is a bit of a hothead, acting before thinking, but his element is a kind like that.
Vox: He is a bit mysterious and because he only showed up closer to the end of the book, I can’t say much about him besides he is hot and seem to be more cerebral, the opposite of Titus that is complete emotional.
Many interesting secondary characters and because we don’t really know who are the villains, we can say they may all be important or not. We still don’t have all five mates, so if I had to guess here I would say Sol and River were going to become her other mates.
The villains… so there were a few, but I guess the really dangerous ones are hidden. We don’t really know who they are, it could be anyone.
These characters were multidimensional, very easy to love, connect and understand.
Cover: art 5/5, title 5/5, color-font 5/5, buy 5/5 I’m obsessed with book covers. I love to find snippets of the stories within the art. I can be really picky with book covers and I have to say, this one is one of the most beautiful art work I’ve seen. Besides being really pretty, it really tells the story of the book. This girl is definitely Claire. We can see she is wearing a uniform like the academy. The background reminds us of a place such a school. The magic flying around like she still doesn’t have much control. Specially, we can notice both powers that were better explored in this book, fire and spirit as there are life around with flowers coming out. The colors are superb, the font and placement of the words in the cover are spot on and the title fits the story. I would definitely buy this book by its cover without reading the blurb!!!
Freshness: 5/5 O.M.G This is a one-of-a-kind story. It is unique in which everything feels new and original. Like never I’ve read before. As fresh as a cold bottle of water in the middle of the desert!
Plot: believable 3/5, conflict 5/5, dialogue 5/5, ending 2/5, enjoyment 5/5, opening 5/5, pace 5/5, setting 5/5, subplots 5/5, twists 5/5 Amazing opening and a major cliffhanger at the end. Of course this plot is not believable, but this is fantasy. The world-built is fantastic, the story has enough subplot to keep the reader intrigue to what will come next. The twists are unexpected and the conflict is very well written. Splendid!!! Highest level of satisfaction!!!
Romance: believable 5/5, chemistry 5/5, description 5/5, development 5/5, steam 5/5 This is hot, sexy and fun. Each male has a totally different personality that matches his element. So each romance line has it’s own subplot inside the story that created a magical love story for the heroine. The heat is literally and figuratively on! The smut is great and it grows accordingly in intensity. Even though this is a reverse harem story, this is not gratuity sex, but steamy scenes that complement the plot.
Writing Style: 5/5 I don’t even know what to say. The writing is clean, cohere and have no loopholes. The characters are complex, the plot is simply convoluted and the romance is sexy and loving. Inspiring writing!
WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
THE END! I know, cliffhangers are there for a reason, but I don’t have to love them.
“Why had I agree to this madness, again?
Oh, right. The pleasure. Their sexy energy. The way they knew how to touch me perfectly. Their hypnotic eyes. Gorgeous smiles. Teaching skills. Irresistible bodies. And well-endowed-”
by Claire
MY THOUGHTS
This is a MUST read for everybody that enjoys romantic fantasy.
This book has it all. It is easy to connect and love the characters. The plot is complex, but very well written that you completely understand everything. The romance has a lot of emotion, but is also filled with great smut. It has the perfect combination.
If I had to use one word to describe this would be BALANCE! Yeah, I know it is a weird word choice, but it has everything to do with the magical elements an with how the writers were able to keep a perfect harmony between characters, plot and romance.
35/35 STARS – 5 STARS (between 33.5 stars and 35 stars)
Addictiveness: 5 Character: 5 Cover: 5 Freshness: 5 Plot: 5 Romance: 5 Writing Style: 5

Would I recommend? This is a must for anyone that enjoys romantic fantasy.
Would I re-read this book/series? YES! This has totally become binge worthy!
Would I read more from the author? Can’t wait for more!!!
You MAY read this because you like romantic fantasy; you SHOULD read this because you enjoy reverse harem; you MUST read this because this series is UNIQUE!!!
Book One of the ELEMENTAL FAE ACADEMY is a story that I read in one sitting. It has good world building, is visually written, told in multiple points of view and decent character development.
There were times when I wanted to pinch the female protagonist and tell her to pay attention and calm down. There were times I wanted to tell the male protagonists to just do it already.
The story is an interesting take on the elements and the dynamics of different “personalities”.
I look forward to reading book 2 asap.
Elemental Fae Academy: Book One: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance
by Lexi C. Foss, J.R. Thorn
I couldn’t get enough of this story!! This book drew me in from the beginning, I couldn’t put it down until I got to the end and it left me in a cliffhanger!!! Ugh!!! I need more!! I love Claire and her vulnerability, but also her strength. She has been put through so much in a short amount of time and I found her character to be very relatable. Let’s not forget all sexy guys in this story. I was a little weary of Exos at first but my opinion changed as read on and Titus I liked from the start. I hope I get to know Vox more in the next book. This story was full of action, intrigue, and temperature rising moments. I highly recommend this book and I am impatiently waiting to read book 2.
Elemental Fae Academy (Elemental Fae Academy Book 1) by Lexi C. Foss & J.R. Thorn
5-Stars
Elemental Fae Academy (Elemental Fae Academy Book 1) by Lexi C. Foss & J.R. Thorn was an excellent paranormal Romance. I absolutely loved Claire’s character as well as bother Exos and Titus. Both were portrayed as extremely attractive alpha males. I also like how several other possible mates were introduced subtlety for Claire in this reverse harem. They all had excellent development and back story.
I also really enjoyed the organization and flow of the story. It was easy to read and easy to keep up with the various characters in the book. The various settings were also descriptive and easy to picture. The way the magical aspects of each elemental creation demonstrated how imaginative the authors are and allowed me to easily use my imagination for the story. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series and highly recommend this excellent novel.
This read is a fantastic add to the series. If your a lover of Magic and the Supernatural this is definitely the read for you. This read is a real edge of your seat page turner, I couldn’t put the read down. The Author has definitely made a homerun and I definitely recommend this read.

Elemental Fae Academy: Book One by Lexi C. Foss and J.R. Thorn is the first book in the Elemental Fae Academy trilogy. This book is brilliant from start to finish and I cannot recommend it highly enough!
Lexi C. Foss is an author that has very quickly become one of my go to authors so to discover that she has co-written a book with another author who I am familiar with was definitely something to get excited about. And wow this book did not disappoint. I loved it right from the word go!! The characters were so sexy and captivating. You couldn’t help but imagine yourself as Claire.
The story was great as well. It was developed well and had that hook that keeps you reading. This was a fantastic book and I cannot wait to see what the next one brings.
I could NOT put this book down! It’s a late into the night read! This is filled with wonderful loving and crazy characters. I enjoyed how this is told from various characters as the story moves along. I loved going through all of this strangeness with Claire. Learning about the Fae life and the power and the men.
I am not a fan of reverse harem books. I have read this author before and love her work so i figured i would give it a try. (Go KU) The love portion is So HOT….beware it will burn your fingers turning those pages!! When these characters get together..the elements and emotions are flying high. Titus?!? And his fire magic in the kitchen?? I need ICE CUBES! STAT!!
The author does a great job making me look at these relationships differently. I can easily see the burning heat and raw passion from Titus and it seems that Exos is more pure. Not saying he can’t heat things up but he loves kissing her forehead and touching her…much more cuddling. I wonder what her other relationships will be like.
The book ends on a small cliffhanger…only if you read the Epilogue. If you stop after the last chapter everything ends just fine. The author is gearing up for book 2.
Overall this is much more than I thought it would be. The story is very good and interesting. The idea is novel and the characters are alpha, sexy and smart. This is a good start to a new series.
