The nerdy girl gets the hunk in this friends to lovers slow burn romance.
Court Here’s a thing I learned a long time ago… guys and girls don’t think about relationships the same way. Especially in college. So, when I caught the girl sitting next to me on the plane reading a magazine article on how to get out of the friend zone, I did something I never do – I got involved. One look into her … got involved.
One look into her electric blue eyes and the darkness inside of me faded.
Light and hope radiated from her like a neon sign.
Guys like me know how to get the girl, but we rarely get to keep them.
Bianca
Girls like me fade into the background. Nice, quiet, smart girls without the latest trendy clothes. My friendship with Court started as an opportunity to get inside the male mind, but it turned into so much more.
His touch sent current coursing through my veins.
His kiss jolted my heart.
But here is something I learned a long time ago… you can’t force people to love you back. No matter how much you long for them.

“Goodnight 8B”
If I could describe this book in 5 words, they would be:
Sweet
Sexy
Flirty
Funny
Shocking
Sweet because the characters, though they have a 12 year age gap between then, their relationship is super sweet & sexy. They flirt with each other without over doing it, and I laughed a lot throughout this book. I say shocking, because there is one part in here where you will be like “OMG I did not see that coming”.
Bianca & Court meet on a plane ride, where she is going back to college & he is going there for work. What they both never expected on that short flight was she was getting dating advice from a guy who doesn’t date, and he was giving advice to a beautiful girl who wanted a douche kind of guy.
As he gave her advice and she took it they formed a friendship that had major chemistry. Just neither one of them was brave enough to put themselves out there fully.
Bianca is a nerdy girl who has a crush on a guy who she can never seem to catch his attention outside of study group. She is also a girl who is working towards a career in Engineering, not just because she loves it, but because she wants to help her family out.
Court is a successful man who works in Risk Management, but he came from a broken family background, where he was bounced from home to home when his birth father and mother didn’t want him. Never was he adopted, so he got where he is today because he worked hard to get out of where he was. Close-knit families give him the heebie-jeebies, and he steers clear of relationships. But for some reason the girl who sat next to him on the plane in seat 8B has a hold on him and he’s not so sure how to handle it.
I would definitely recommend this book, especially if you like age-gap romances, finding love when you didn’t ever think you would. Great HEA as well. I can always count on Rebecca Jenshak to give me a great story with even greater characters.
I adored this story! I love a good older/younger book and this one did not disappoint!! I wanted more.
4,5 stars
After reading ‘The assist’ I really wanted to read more books of this writer so I decided to try this book ‘Electric blue love’. It’s a story about a college girl who meets an older guy on the plane and they get into a discussion about relationships and how to get the attention of a guy. Before they know it Court (the guy on the plane) is teaching Bianca, the girl, how she can get the attention of Todd, a boy who she has been crushing on for some time now. But somewhere during the long phone calls and the meetings, they are falling for each other, only Court had never had a relationship before and there is a reason for that. Can Bianca change his mind about it? Can she use the rules that he gave her and seduce him instead?
The story is told from both POV’s. It’s a sweet story and the writer really takes her time to build the romance. So it’s a bit of a slow burn. One of the things that I really appreciated in this story is the ‘real’ emotions in it. ‘Electric blue love’ isn’t just another story about a billionaire who meets a young girl. No! This is a story about a ‘normal’ guy and a ‘normal’ girl with real problems, feelings and real life situations. I loved that very much.
I’m really happy that I decided to read this book and I will definitely read more books of this writer.
Ahh, Court and Bianca! Their story was sooo good! I loved how I was sucked right in from the very beginning and then I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see how the story played out. This story was full of all the laughs and tension and sexy times that I love! I definitely recommend it to everyone!
I truly loved this book. The push and pull, flirtatious mentor sessions, the I don’t know if he/she wants more, gah, I couldn’t get enough. I was sucked in by all the characters. Court was a dreamboat who man had a suck butt childhood, who can’t seem to get over his fear of abandonment. Bianca was such a great character who had a heart of gold. She grew so much in this book, and even though Court started out as her mentor he really learned how to live and trust for 8b.
Rebecca Jenshak is a new author to be but this book was everything. I could not put it down. It gave me all of the feels. This book shows you that age is just a number. You will love this book from beginning to end.
This book is amazing I love how Court and Bianca has a chemistry that is so hot but both don’t realize it..will they realize it in time and make it right ..love that you can feel all the emotion thru out the book . Hurry buy this book you won’t regret it.
Great story about Bianca and Court and how all she wanted was to get into was the inside of a mans mind. Little did you know getting that deep would make her have feelings for him and things start to get intense and more real.
Court and Biana meet by chance, but fate has other ideas. These two can’t seem to stop thinking about each other and then Court decides he wants to help Bianca. But what happens when you what you thought you wanted, isn’t what you wanted after all?? Can these two overcome the odds and work everything out?? Loved this story. It was sweet and romantic.
Really enjoyed this book.
The characters had me hooked from the first page and want to keep reading until the end.
I loved reading this book. Well write and it just sucks you into it. Bianca is heading back to school when she meets Court on the plane. Well more like he meets her. She doesnt even know he’s there till he catches her attention. He starts to give her dating advice for the guy she has been crushing on. They exchange numbers and start to text and call each other. This is such a cute stor. I enjoyed reading it and getting caught up in it. Give me more
I loved this story from beginning to end.
Court and Bianca made me swoon with just the first page. Court could have never imagined how the girl sitting on the 8B seat would change his life.
The chemistry between them is explosive. I loved how nonchalant Bianca is, she didn’t even had an idea that Court was way more interested in her, even though he didn’t realize it either, at first. He is completely into her, but of course, has a problem of admitting his feelings.
Soon, these two won’t be able to resist the other one, and what started out as lessons on getting the guy, will turn into so much more. Sadly, things aren’t so easy, there is big turn of events that will have an impact in their relationship, one that neither of them, nor me, saw coming.
These two made me swoon hard. The are so perfect for each other, and made my heart so happy.
Swoony, heartwarming and funny.
When I was reading this book, I found the origin of how how the two characters met to be rather surprising and bit more unique. I found myself drawn to the chance meeting between a college student and a older gentleman on a flight.
Throughout the the story, the readers will go through a rollercoaster and twist and turns in the plot but still manages to create . a story that is believable in that their love develops over a period of time instead of instantly. The genuineness and vulnerability of both characters is the draw-point of this book for readers.
I can’t believe I waited so long to read this book. Bianca and Court’s story gave me all the feels.
Their story was well written and the chemistry between the two was awesome. It was a little sad at times but it was also very heartwarming. The two had me smiling, laughing and awing. They were such a sweet couple.
I loved listening to the music playlist that went along with Electric Blue and even added a few of my own.
Definitely look forward to reading more from this author.
YES!! YES!! YES!! TOTALLY FELL IN LOVE WITH ELECTRIC BLUE LOVE!! Rebecca Jens Jenshak is a First time AUTHOR for me and She BLEW ME AWAY WITH BOOK!!
From the Very beginning, I was so intrigued that I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!! This coming of age technology of communicating with a total Stranger when meeting them on a plane ride.
Court and Biana’s Storytelling was Outstanding balance of Raw Emotions that leave you Speechless! The Banter between the characters themselves plus a friendship that grows throughout the book. Even though there is a Huge age difference..like 12 years..does not even bother the two. Bianca is a mature girl for her age and Never Stopped to think of what others are thinking. Court had such a rough childhood growing up that has you Melting your Heartstrings!
ELECTRIC BLUE LOVE is So Beautifully written and Emotionally will Draining your Soul! It totally captured me and left me a Blubbering Mess at times! AND Let me Tell you…the Sexual Chemistry is off the Charts HOT!
Not to mention that there is TWIST OF SORTS That will leave you with WTF Moment that will make your JAW DROP SPEECHLESS!!
A MUST READ BOOK AND DEFINITELY WILL BE LOOKING FOR MORE FROM REBECCA JENSHAK!!
This is a super sweet book. Being on an airplane and making small talk to the next passenger can change ones life. Bianca is a senior in college and traveling back to school to finish her bachelors degree. She meets Court and as they talk he helps her with how to get a guy to notice her but what happens is that Court and Bianca fall for each other but since Court doesn’t do relationships or love she keeps blocking things that could mean something because of what he said. Court grew up a lot different than Bianca. He was bounced from foster home to foster home. Where Bianca was poor but had a loving family that supported each other and that’s something that Court never even knew about. There is a lot of ups and downs in the book. Great fast read.
Electric Blue Love is the first book that I’ve read from Rebecca Jenshak and am I so freaking glad that this was the book that introduced me to this author’s incredible writing. The reason I decided to give this book a try was because it sounded interesting and a few of my books friends has read it, and their reviews painted an amazing picture. This one totally seemed like something right up my alley and oh my goodness I freaking loved it. After devouring this story in one sitting I was left with a total book hanger, but it was certainly worth it!
Court had this instant connection with Bianca right from the moment his eyes met hers as she sat in seat 8B. It was like fate intervened and they were meant to meet on that flight. These two captured my heart and I couldn’t get them out of my head for a few days after finishing this book. I absolutely loved the slight age difference…I mean who doesn’t love a good older man?! So HOT!
This story made me want to read more from this author, and I certainly plan on reading more of her books in the near future. I think readers will fall head over heels in love with Court and Bianca’s romance! I strongly recommend one-clicking this story today!
This is a story about learning to trust and love with your whole self. It also entails a decent age gap between the two characters and some lessons on how to get a guys attention.
This is a first read for me by this author. It was a story that kept my interest along with the angst and wit between the characters. Court and Bianca meet on a short plane flight and strike up a conversation over a magazine article Bianca is reading. But Court is taken by Bianca’s quirky style and reading material instantly and he offers to help her win the man she trying to pursue. This starts a relationship that grows and strengthens over text, phone, video chats and then visits.
I really liked Court’s nick name for Bianca, 8B, because of the seat she sat in on the plane. It was really endearing hearing him call her that throughout the story. Court’s had a very hard life and I was surprised how their two lives eventually intersected in the story. That was something I wasn’t expecting at all.
The only downside to me was Bianca’s immaturity, but it was really only a relationship immaturity. So watching her trying navigate the intricacies of a relationship or how she was treating Court at times was hard to read at times. But that’s where these two characters grow and thrive as well. Bianca was a very mature and loving character when it came to every other aspect of her life along with her relationship with her family. She’s actually had to grow up a bit on her own due to a family illness and she has taken her responsibilities very well throughout. Thankfully Court was there to show her the way.
A really good story and a bit of a surprise within the pages. Readers will love the interaction between the two characters and watch as they slowly turn to each other, even though their sites were set otherwise. I enjoyed this one.
On the way back to college as Bianca tries to figure out how to get a guy to notice her, her seat mate decide to give her some pointer for a man’s perspective. This is the start to a great friendship and a great read. You will fall in love with Bianca who is a no nonsense girl and Court who is a man who is doing well for himself. When he creates a friendship with Bianca he realizes he is missing something. My favorite part about this book was how Court came to realize that he did deserve to be happy. Bianca decided to make decisions for herself and not someone else. This book was just the right amount of romance and emotional. Be prepared to LOL one moment and cry the next.
It’s thrilling when you find books like this. So unexpected and intriguing. I love the plot, the characters, the pace. It was all well balanced. I was hooked since the start.
Being honest, the last part was a bit… too much. I guessed something similar, but in overall it’s a book I definitely recommend. One of the best couple I’ve read.
