The nerdy girl gets the hunk in this friends to lovers slow burn romance.
Court Here’s a thing I learned a long time ago… guys and girls don’t think about relationships the same way. Especially in college. So, when I caught the girl sitting next to me on the plane reading a magazine article on how to get out of the friend zone, I did something I never do – I got involved. One look into her … got involved.
One look into her electric blue eyes and the darkness inside of me faded.
Light and hope radiated from her like a neon sign.
Guys like me know how to get the girl, but we rarely get to keep them.
Bianca
Girls like me fade into the background. Nice, quiet, smart girls without the latest trendy clothes. My friendship with Court started as an opportunity to get inside the male mind, but it turned into so much more.
His touch sent current coursing through my veins.
His kiss jolted my heart.
But here is something I learned a long time ago… you can’t force people to love you back. No matter how much you long for them.

Wow 2 stranger meet on a plane a cute girl sitting in 8b reading a magazine catches a cute guys eye and he wants to take her on as a project to help catch the guy of her dreams but what if It’s the wrong guy? Does the girl in 8b find the guy. Loved court and B!
OMG I cannot say enough about this book. From the second I picked it up I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. The chemistry right off the bat between the characters was off the charts and I loved the banter that went on between them.
From the second I heard the storyline I knew I had to read this book and believe me I was not disappointed. Bianca and Court are both such strong characters and I really enjoyed getting to know each of their stories.
Full of plenty of emotions both happy and sad as well as some twists and turns I didn’t see coming I was on the edge of my seat waiting for what was going to happen next.
A must read book for sure!

Electric- having or producing a sudden sense of thrilling excitement.
That’s the best way to describe Electric Blue Love, electric. It was thrilling excitement from the first chapter. Bianca always searching for that electric spark. Court not realizing he needed that electric spark. Both have a weird relationship/friendship at first, but not realizing this friendship is going further all under the guise of helping Bianca get a different guy.
Bianca kinda makes you want to hit your head on the wall. You love her, but getting her to realize the great guy she has right in front of her took forever. Court is one of the dreamiest guys ever! He thinks he isn’t good enough, but you figure out quickly that he may be too good for those around him. The relationship develops slowly and sweetly. Court trying to help Bianca get the other guy while quietly dying a little inside, showed how selfless he could be.
I floved how close knit Bianca’s family is and how open and accepting they were to Court. They helped fill a hole in him giving him something he hasn’t had before. The entire book will leave you swooning for Court!
This friends to lovers with a little bit of an age gap had me glued to the book until the last page and not wanting it to end.
Bianca is a gorgeous college senior who is set on getting the attention of a certain guy and has resorted to a magazine helping her. Court happens to be sitting next to Bianca on a plane and sees what she’s reading and decides to help. Court makes rules, Bianca writes them down into what turns into the rule book. One thing leads to the other and the intended guy finally sees what a catch Bianca is but is it too late? Has Bianca and Court’s friendship started turning in a different direction? You will be rooting for Bianca and Court before they even realize there are feelings between them and feel all their emotions with them. I was intrigued from the very first paragraph and by the end still wanting more.
**3.5**
Bianca is returning to school in Connecticut after visiting her family in New York. Court is flying to meet with a client and when he sits next to Bianca and sees her reading a magazine on how to stay out of the friend zone he makes it his mission to help her because the magazine is clearly rubbish. After the short flight home Court gives Bianca his card offering to be her mentor should she need further help landing her dream guy. The more that they talked the more that Bianca realized that her dream guy may not be the guy she was originally trying to win over.
Court and Bianca were fun – their texting and teaching was fun, had me laughing and smirking quite a bit. But I never really felt them deep down. I saw the conflict coming but I didn’t see the way it was going to play out and I really respected the way that it did play out. I really liked both of the characters and respected both of them and their choices. Even though I didn’t fully feel their feels I liked this book and would recommend it.
WOW!! I am new to Rebecca Jenshak, but I am absolutely in love! I could not put this story down! I love a well written older man/younger woman romance, and Electric Blue Love is perfect! I did not want this book to end! FIVE STARS!!
Going into this book, I didn’t realise the romantic relationship would take place between a huge age gap. I am usually on the fence about these type of things, however if the age gap doesn’t prove to be such an obvious thing based on maturity and such, then I don’t mind it.
The entire plot that this book encompassed was really intriguing. Court was charming from the get go and I especially enjoyed the times where he was nervous around Bianca or even doubted himself. The egotistical, over confident alpha male character can be overused at times so Court was a breath of fresh air. You could feel the chemistry between them through each line the author wrote, and that just shows how good the writing was.
In a nutshell, this was really enjoyable and thus highly recommendable.
Bianca is heading back to school and is engrossed in the latest Cosmo type article on how to win her man. Court sits down next to her and gets her talking. He agrees to become her sounding board on what guys really want from a girlfriend/date. They exchange numbers and go their separate ways.
When Bianca can’t stop thinking about some of his advice she texts him and is surprised when he responds. They start up a playful friendship and even go as far as pretend dating to get into character for her as practice. Soon she realizes Court tips are helping her win her man. Too bad he isn’t as interesting to her any longer now that Court has entered her mind.
Court is having trouble getting Bianca out of his mind. He has to stay focused though as he has a mission in mind and he can’t screw this up. But when their paths cross again, will they be able to get back to the relationship they started?
Another great read from the author, it is becoming a nice routine for me and one of her books. I voluntarily read and reviewed without expectations. This author has very quickly become one of my favorites. 4 1/2 stars.
Court and Bianca had such an amazing meet cute and arrangement. Who wouldn’t want dating tips from a hot older guy?!?!
Bianca was such a motherly character. She made sure to take care of everyone around her, and rarely gave in to what she wanted. Even when it came to dating, she was trying to be someone the guy would want instead of herself.
Court had demons from his past he was trying to outrun. He never let himself date and was in a committed relationship with his job.
These two both had walls around their heart a mile high, and it was fun to see their guards dropped when they least expected it. This slow burn relationship was so relatable and realistic. The struggles and break up at the end were all events that had my heart breaking for them. They both were trying to do what was best in their own hearts, and sometimes you have already fallen without realizing it.
I love this story and how all the events intertwined. I knew something was up with certain characters, but it took a long time for me to figure it out. I love when books keep you in the dark about a few things. It keeps the magic and suspense of the story alive.

I adored Court and Bianca!
“I equated love with electric potential and the two points were me and my perfect match.”
Bianca is a 22YO sweet, somewhat clueless, college girl who’s determined to make her longtime crush notice her – even though there appears to be an absence of spark between them. Court is a 34YO, somewhat jaded businessman who finds her adorable in her naivete but also simply beautiful and alluring. He has his reasons for avoiding serious relationships, but no matter how hard he tries to keep his friendship with Bianca on the level, the temptation of her and their electrifying chemistry is too compelling to ignore.
“She was innocence wrapped up in a tempting little package that she hid in plain sight.”
This story captivated me from the start! It was amusing, sweet and sexy. I loved how well Bianca could read Court and his hidden depths. She understood him without knowing the dark details of his life. I adored Court’s interest in her. I loved the push and pull he felt for her. His vulnerability touched me, yet his protective and possessive instincts for Bianca made my heart melt. A fantastic read!
I have to say, this story was a unique and refreshing concept. I enjoyed the ups and downs and how Court and Bianca fight their attraction. There were some ohhhhh moments that made your jaw drop but the way that these two gravitated towards each other was amazing.
There were moments I wanted to whack Bianca for being so blind when it came to her trying to get the guy she liked. But when you keep yourself sheltered, I guess that is how it goes with not understanding the opposite sex. Then you have Court. In the long run, he would do everything possible for Bianca and her family even if he pained him to do so. But he needed a whack upside the head for being so stupid at times. It is like they learn as they go. I loved that real feel about it.
As a whole, this was a great story that I could not put down. Their chemistry was very much electric and sizzled. They had amazing banter as the story flowed and I found myself giggling with them. I am a huge fan of Jenshak now so if you haven’t picked up a book by her, do so now!
I already knew Rebecca Jenshak was a noteworthy author, thanks to her four previous titles that I’ve had the pleasure of reading (the three currently available novels in her Smart Jocks series and If Not for Love, all of which I’ve read in a span of five months), but her standalone from 2018, which I only read today, is a standout, making it one of my top reads for this year and one that I would readily recommend to any romance reader out there. Electric Blue Love had originality and creativity without sacrificing any of the other elements that make a romance what it is. This goes beyond tropes and what-have-yous. It is, simply put, one of the most memorable love stories I’ve ever been privileged to read, and that’s saying something considering how long I’ve been reading romantic fiction and all its sub-genres. And yes, that’s basically me also saying, I’m kinda-sorta-maybe old…ish. Just saying…
Here’s the thing: the blurb gives just a hint of what truly goes on between the covers, and this is one of those cases where going in blind is actually a good thing so as not to jump to any conclusions as to what the book is about. Of course, when I first came across the title, I did read the blurb, but by the time I finally got around to reading the book, I’d forgotten what the blurb had said in the first place. I loved every single thing about Court and Bianca’s story: from their first meeting to the friend zone mentorship to their unlikely friendship and then on to more. This was well-paced, allowing readers to get to know more than just the essentials and basics about Court and Bianca while they got to know each other better. I loved how family played a part in the story, especially on Court’s end because it was far from the usual. It’s the weekend–do yourself a favor and read Electric Blue Love. Five-plus stars.
I really enjoyed this book. I loved the concept and the characters. You could really feel their love for each other and love for the family. The extended epilogue was cute and I would love to read more about Court and Bianca!!
Such a wonderful love story! I love the way Court helps Bianca come into herself, all the while falling in love with her. Rebecca Jenshak writes in a way that just captivates you. The characters are very strong, no weak heroine here, and well written. Even the secondary characters are great, you can tell this is going to be a great series.
What a great & sweet love story!
Court & Bianca meet on the plane. She’s going back to college, he’s on a business trip.
They started talking about how man tick and think, what they like… and Court decided to help her get noticed by the man she wants.
There’s a little age gap in this story, but I think it’s not really noticeable. Because Bianca is also really mature for her age. Anyway, Court is totally adorable, but has his baggage he carries around, but Bianca is good for him, and helps him to open up and deal with it.
Great book, story, lovely characters, tight knit family. Loved the book!!!
Ever have that insta-love moment?
For Court Adams the instant he met Bianca Winters he felt a spark, but he was a man who pushed everyone away. He kept a wide berth around himself and didn’t get personal with anyone. So why he felt the need to initiate a conversation with Bianca which led to friendship and then a fake relationship and eventually to him wanting more…well, the only thing he can think of is instant, electric connection.
For the first time in his life he didn’t know what to do with the emotions swirling inside of him. Bianca made him want and wanting made him hope and hoping was a terrible thing. Hoping ment loss and he made sure to never set himself up to lose.
Bianca was trying to get out of the friend-zone with Todd, a boy she’d met freshman year of college. She was in her final semester and she had yet to get out of that insufferable zone. While heading back to school she was minding her own business, reading an article on how to get out of the dreaded zone, when the sexy man sitting next to her offered up very different advice than the magazine. Against her usual judgement, she listened to Court and his advice actually worked. Court was easy to talk to and his rules for attracting Todd soon became her addiction. The downside, she actually was no longer interested in Todd but more interested in what Court had to say, but would he still talk to her if she told him that?
Electric Blue Love was more than just a story about two people falling in love, it was a book about family, the emotional toil that life can throw at you and what choices you make from dealing with the people in your life. This is a couldn’t stop reading once you start kind of book.
I love Rebecca Jenshak writing – I’ve been a huge fan since I’ve started reading her work and this book was just the icing on the cake.
This story is about two people who were falling in love without even realizing it. I really like Bianca even though she was getting on my nerves when she was deciding on her future but having in mind a boy who didn’t give her the attention that he should or better to say she wanted from him. But after she stars interacting more with Court she started to come into her own and I was so happy to see her blossom.
Now to Court; I loved him from the get-go. He was easy-going, funny and was really invested helping Bianca out. The drama of the story left me feeling a bit unsettled because
(to me) it seemed unfair what he was asking of Bianca. But as always true love prevails and HEA was just around the corner for these two.
This book left me smiling and I love it!!!

4.5 stars! I really enjoyed this book. I rounded up because I loved Court so much but there was ONE thing that would have made me even more happy about this book that never happened. I have now read 2 of Rebecca’s books and I have to say, her Heroes are not lacking. Court was fantastic. The electricity between him and Bianca sizzles off the pages. Bianca is someone that I can totally relate to as well. Yes, she is young, but she knows what she is looking for. Some people spend their whole lives searching for the kind of spark with someone. It isn’t everyday you find that current. In any relationship I have had, I search for that spark. I know I have it if I can get it just by touching someone’s hand. It’s palpable and it’s something everyone should strive for. In a world of meaningless hookups and online dating, it’s nice to see this story. See that it isn’t just me that thinks like this. Thank you Rebecca for this great story!
These two meet on a flight. Court is an older guy, he’s trying to get attention. One he has Bianca’s attention, after seeing what magazine article she’s reading, he gives her advice on how to land the guy she’s been trying to land at college. He gives her his number in case she needs more advice. This entire interaction was so funny, and every time Court refers to Todd, the guy she likes, he calls him every T name except for Todd. So dang funny. He continues this throughout most of the book. She calls him quite a bit and then becomes her fake boyfriend, so she can practice boyfriend/girlfriend stuff with him. They really are cute. Eventually these two do turn into more and a lot of emotions are involved.
This was safe for me. No ow drama, not really any om drama either, Todd starts to like her, but she is already crazy about Court and tells Todd that. This was a fun book, that ends up being pretty heavy with emotions with both of their family backgrounds. There was a brief separation that broke mine and their hearts. There was an epilogue and a hea.
Have to say I loved this one. Everything from their accidental meeting onwards. It’s a fantastic slow burn, witty banter, genuine feels kind of read. Bianca and Court felt very genuine to me and I loved watching their story unfold. Definitely recommend.
