#1 New York Times Best Seller!”Eleanor & Park reminded me not just what it’s like to be young and in love with a girl, but also what it’s like to be young and in love with a book.”-John Green, The New York Times Book ReviewBono met his wife in high school, Park says.So did Jerry Lee Lewis, Eleanor answers.I’m not kidding, he says. You should be, she says, we’re 16.What about Romeo and Juliet?… he says.
You should be, she says, we’re 16.
What about Romeo and Juliet?
Shallow, confused, then dead.
I love you, Park says.
Wherefore art thou, Eleanor answers.
I’m not kidding, he says.
You should be.
Set over the course of one school year in 1986, this is the story of two star-crossed misfits-smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try. When Eleanor meets Park, you’ll remember your own first love-and just how hard it pulled you under.

Sixty pages, and then I was hooked. I enjoyed this book very much, but I believe the author failed to capture the 1986 setting.
Sweet story. Well written.
Ok… maybe I’m sappy, but I loved this book! I loved Eleanor, Park, and his parents! Of course I hated her mom and step dad! Praises for Eleanor and Park. Will definitely recommend.
The best of her books.
I think that the story was romantic because of how the two got to together and it was tragic how on how the story ended.
sweet, realistic, heartwarming and slightly sexy
Loved this young adult book—
I really enjoyed this coming off age book. Yes high school is always good memories andfunny
Teens will connect with these two unique characters, not the most popular, not likely to become friends or have a deeper relationship. Adults might recognize some part of their own youth. Including heartbreak.
One of my favorite books of all time.
I’ve pretty much loved Rainbow Rowell since I first read Fangirl. I feel a connection, having grown up in Council Bluffs, which, let’s be honest, is practically like living in Omaha. I get all of her local references, have been to many of the places she talks about in her books. It’s like reading about my childhood.
This book not only makes me …
I love it when e
One gets away from her step day who is so crule to her
I loved this book!! It’s a heart warming tail of teenage love and woe and true depiction of you never know what someone is going through by looking at them. But unlike most teenage love stories it doesn’t have the happy ending you think it will
This was just a really sweet love story.
interesting relationships
The best book I have EVER read and that is in my collection which is rooms worth. I cannot wait till the movie adaptation
This book was a bit slow at first but the characters really grew on me and then I couldn’t put it down!!
quick, easy, fun although emotional read!
So disappointed in the book. Did not understand all the hype.
This is a wonderful book…but the ending.
