I absolutely love this book. I couldn’t put it down after I got into the flow of the story. Baz is by far my favorite character because for me personally, very relateable.
I have fallen in love with Rainbow Rowell’s books. But this one will still be my first chose to read first. It relates to kind of what teens have to go through, and then the love between the two. The author writes as if you can see everything that is going on, and you just in the room watching this whole story play out.
When Park first sees Eleanor get on the school bus, he cringes. Everything about her is wrong – her size, her hair, her clothes. He knows the other kids will pick on her immediately. But for some reason, he tells her to sit down next to him, despite knowing it will attract attention — exactly what Park doesn’t want. However, over time, Park and …
As a former Nebraska resident, it was incredibly interesting to read this book as it was very believable. The characters are very well drawn-out and defined, making for an interesting read.
Loved this book
This was a good
loved it very sad
Beat young adult novel I’ve ever read.
This was my first Rainbow Rowell book but it won’t be my last! She has a wonderful writing style and makes everything – from the characters to the settings to the situations – feel so real. Really great coming of age story.
A great read telling a delightful story with characters you enjoy getting to know!
Wow. I loved this book. True love, first love, the kind that leaves an indelible mark in our memories, “Eleanor and Park” captures all those thoughts and feelings with style and grace, reminding us why we’re here and how resilient we are. My heart ached for the two main characters from “opposite sides of the tracks.” It was refreshing to read a …
Absolutely adore this book!!
This book has a depth I did not expect. The characters are very real. Eleanor breaks your heart, and Park is what every girl needs: deeply kind, fair and has real strength of character as well as a willingness to love whole-heartedly. There is amazing insight into how an abusive home environment forever molds the children who experience it.
I loved the characters and the story. The ending could have been more satisfying.
I received this book as a gift shortly after it released and it was one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever gotten. I felt attached to the main characters and could not put the book down. It ultimately helped me through a difficult point in my own life and I would recommend it to everyone I know.
Lovely, poignant, and real coming of age story. Original characters and situations which ring with truth.
I would have checked off REALISTIC but I sincerely hope it’s not but I am terribly afraid it is REALISTIC. I was intrigued by the COVER of this book and the synopsis so I read it. It is WAY out of my comfort zone and reading genre but I couldn’t stop reading it!!! I had to know what was going to happen !!! it was incredibly sad, incredibly …
One of the best young adult books ever!
My personal favorite from Rainbow Rowell.
This is a story of two young teenagers in love. It takes place in the 1980s. One is a chubby red head from a very (very) poor family with a rotten stepdad and 4 siblings. And the other is a Korean boy with a fantastic family but he is having a hard time figuring out how he fits. They meet on the school bus and over time fall in love.
I read …
