Greyson East left his mark on me.As the young girl who first fell for him, I didn’t know much about life. I did know about his smiles, though, and his laughs, and the strange way my stomach flipped when he was near.Life was perfect…until it wasn’t, and when we were forced to go our separate ways, I held on to our memories, let go of my first crush, and wished for the day I’d find him again. When … find him again.
When my wish came true, it was nothing like I imagined.
I couldn’t have known when I took the nanny position that it would be his children I looked after, that my new boss would be that boy I used to know, that boy who was now a man—a cold, lonely, detached man.
The smile and laugh I had loved so much were gone, now distant memories. Every part of him was covered in a fresh pain.
When he realized who I was, he made me promise to do my job and my job only.
He made me promise not to try to get to know him, not to recall the memories I’d treasured all this time.
But, sometimes, I saw the boy I’d once known in his stormy eyes. I saw the Greyson who smiled and laughed, who had stolen a young girl’s heart, and there was no doubt in my mind that this boy was worth fighting for.
I was given a second chance with the one who’d left his mark on me. All I hoped was that somehow I’d leave a mark on his soul, too.

To date, Eleanor and Grey is the most phenomenal book Ms. Cherry has ever written. I absolutely have no idea where to start with describing how amazing this book is. These easy to love characters are incredible and I didn’t want to let them go.
Eleanor and Grey’s journey began as teenagers and Ms. Cherry does a fantastic job of showing us how their beautiful relationship began. I adored everything about Eleanor as she’s an introvert, sassy and weird. This won me over immediately and the fact that she’s very comfortable and confident in her weirdness. She and Grey met at a time when she needed a friend the most since her mother was just diagnosed with a terminal illness. Grey is the perfect friend for her and he supports her in every way possible. They developed a deep and meaningful friendship filled with love and what seemed like an unbreakable bond. As time went on and years went by, they unfortunately drifted apart and lost contact with each other.
Fast forward to several years later when Eleanor moves back to her hometown, applies for a nanny position and unbeknownst to her, Grey is her new employer. Poor Grey has suffered tremendous loss as his wife recently died in a car accident. My heart literally broke for this man as his wife was everything to him. He’s been stricken by tragedy, his heart is hard and he’s become a workaholic to deal with his grief. The relationship with his two daughters has definitely suffered as well. When Eleanor discovers that he is no longer the loving and caring boy she used to know, she sets out on a mission to help heal the entire family.
I’m not going to lie, Eleanor and Grey is an ugly cry book. So make sure you have at least two boxes of tissues handy when reading this outstanding book.
Both Eleanor and Grey’s lives are tangled up in tragedy due to their significant losses and they need each other more than they know. This is not just a love story it’s EVERYTHING!! I was fully vested in this book, I couldn’t put it down and the way they help each other emotionally, mentally and physically had me hoping for the best and was truly inspiring. They are definitely meant to be together.
Eleanor and Grey has so many wonderful moments and the plot is meaningful, brilliant, concise and engaging from the first to the very last page. There were times where I laughed and cried and then cried some more. This book is one of my favorite books of 2019 and these two will forever remain in my heart and soul.
Teenage years can be a time of uncertainty and awkwardness. For Eleanor – the intensity of having a mother dealing with the twists and turns of cancer added to her desire to shy away from others. School was an escape from the looming death sentence that was plaguing Ellie’s home, but it didn’t mean that Ellie went into those high school years in a blaze of glory.
In spite of her withdrawn personality, Ellie became friends with Grey. The two developed an interesting friendship that led Eleanor through those difficult days. Grey was the rock that Ellie needed when her future looked bleak. Every moment of pain was met with a shoulder of support that would stay with the two during the most difficult times.
Time has a way of leading you down different paths, and Eleanor and Greyson began to drift apart. Both looked upon those special moments from their past with fond adoration. With years gone in the blink of an eye, Ellie and Grey will one day find their paths crossing once more. Now it’s Greyson’s turn to need a shoulder to carry him through the darkest times.
After losing his wife, Greyson finds the despair and heartache more than he can bear. With two daughters to lead through the tragedy overshadowing their lives, Greyson sets out on a quest to find a nanny to handle running his home. With the memories of that night overshadowing all else, Greyson is determined to spend as little time as possible at the family home. While Ellie is facing the loss of her long term nanny position, she has a lead on a job of a lifetime. Nothing could have prepared Ellie for running into Grey after all of these years, but the biggest surprise was the loss of the young man that she once knew. Ellie knows it’s her turn to offer the support that Grey so desperate needs to come out on the other side.
Let me start by saying…..you definitely need to add this book to your collection! If you are a fan of Brittainy Cherry – then you know just how much emotion you can expect packed between the covers of one of Cherry’s novels. If you haven’t had the pleasure of enjoying such a talented writer, then now is the time you should dive into her writing!
Eleanor & Grey is a spectacular journey of loss, love and understanding through tragedy. The words written upon the pages will lead you on a bird’s eye view of just how important friendship can be during the darkest days. The realistic journey that Ellie and Grey embark upon will leave you with a love for the emotional musings of a very talented author. Their tale is one you will not forget, but it will hold a place in your heart for friendships of all shapes and forms. One thing I will say….I love EVERYTHING that Brittainy Cherry has ever written, and Eleanor and Grey is no exception!!
Eleanor & Grey is a heartbreakingly beautiful story of unbreakable bonds, loss, healing and an unforgettable love. This book completely surprised me by how many emotions it evoked in me. I was blown away by Greyson and Eleanor’s story and this book is one of my top reads.
From the outside looking in Eleanor and Greyson couldn’t be more opposite if they tried. While Eleanor is shy and quiet Greyson is popular and very outgoing yet they formed a bond that neither ever expected. Tragedy and distance forced each of them into new directions yet life had an interesting way of redirecting them to exactly where they were meant to be. I loved how absolutely relatable their characters were and how easily they pulled me into their story. I had moments were I had such hopes, smiled from ear to ear and others where my heart broke and I could hardly read through the tears running down my face. In other words, I loved every moment of their beautifully emotional journey.
Eleanor & Grey was a brilliantly stunning book that is a definite must read if you love emotional, second chance romances that pack a punch. From characters with so much depth that I couldn’t help but feel like I was right there along with them for their journey to the overwhelming emotions throughout every page of this book Eleanor& Grey is a truly mesmerizing and unforgettable book.
5+ stunning stars!
You know those first few minutes after finishing an amazing book?
Those moments when you aren’t quite sure what to do with yourself?
You simply sat there, staring at the last words, unsure how to move on with your life.
How could it be over?
Yeah, that just about sums up exactly what I thought when I turned the last page of Eleanor & Grey by Brittainy C. Cherry. I am continuously impressed by Cherry’s talent, by her ability to create stories that resonate with my soul. Once again, she has given us an exquisite, unforgettable love story that is so much more than I could have imagined. It’s about loss, grief, regret, and heartache. About healing, forgiveness, second chances, and forever love, but not just the romantic kind. It’s a love between those who never let you down, the friends and family who remain by your side and in your heart even in the most trying of times.
Eleanor & Grey is a beautifully written story with relatable, endearing, and real characters who are impossible to forget. Whether it’s when they are on their own or while they are together, Eleanor and Grey are truly special. Eleanor is quiet and keeps to herself whereas Grey is outgoing and popular. They grow up in completely different households – one nurturing and full of love, and one hostile and full of anger. They seem to be opposites in so many ways but despite their differences both have kind, beautiful souls who connect in a wonderful way.
“He turned to walk away, but I called after him.
“Yeah?” he questioned.
“I just wanted you to know I see you, you know, the you that the rest of the world doesn’t see.”
He scrunched up his nose and rubbed the back of his neck. “Good, because I see you, too.”
Through pain and tragedy, they share a special bond that proves unending even when time and distance pulls them apart. Grey is there for Ellie during her darkest hours and then years later, she is there for his.Eleanor left town right as something was blooming between her and Grey. Though they kept in touch for a while, life eventually got in the way. When Eleanor sees Grey again, fifteen years later, both are taken by surprise. Eleanor is the same but Grey is far from the boy he used to be. A widower left with two daughters, he is heartbroken and lost. He remains closed off, even to the woman who was once so important to him; however, the more time Eleanor and Grey spend together, the more they bring back the friendship they once shared.
“People didn’t have to talk about love to know that it existed. Love wasn’t only real because people said it out loud. No, love just kind of sat there quietly, in the shadows of the night, healing the cracks that lived on our heart.”
Slowly, the love that sparked when they were teens and laid dormant for so long sneaks up on them as the healing begins, and their relationship is functional, mature, and full of respect and selflessness. I loved that they are given a second chance at love and happiness without downplaying the most important things they have experienced. Never once was Grey’s love for his late wife belittled or disregarded. It was real and fierce. He also loves Eleanor with a matched intensity that is beautiful and true, and their friendship remained constant through everything.
“Sometimes the best love stories are about those who waited.”
The emotion in this story was overwhelming and the vast amount of feels it evokes is incredible. There is no sugarcoating the pain the characters go through. It is real, raw, and utterly heartbreaking, and the loss, grief, and loneliness are almost too much to bear. There were several times I felt like my heart was breaking. My stomach was in knots and I couldn’t stop the tears. Honestly, I was a mess. Yet, no matter how much it hurt, I knew there would be healing. I knew the pieces of my heart would be put back together, and the love experienced in this book made everything worth it in the end.
Every single character is full of depth and is important to the story. Eleanor’s parents were spectacular. Understanding, supportive, and genuine, Eleanor was raised by truly special people. They loved her unconditionally and completely and every scene they were in warmed my heart, even the ones that broke it. I loved Grey’s daughters. The girls were well developed and full of individuality. Their circumstances are devastating and their reactions are authentic. My heart went out to them. I also adored Claire and loved her stance on love. Her relationship with Grey was moving. And Landon and Shay are fantastic friends to Grey and Eleanor. I am so excited that they are getting their own story!! Their chemistry is off the charts and I can’t wait to see them together! Landon & Shay is coming soon!
Overall, Eleanor & Grey blew me away. It’s touched me in a way that I won’t forget and I know I will relive this story over and over. A new 2019 favorite, this is a must read!
4-4,5 stars
I love every kind of romance novels. The make-you-laugh, the dark ones, the drama. But the kinds I love the most is the ones that make me truly connect with the characters in a way that it feels like I know them, know what they are feeling. I feel so much that I root for them, I laugh with them, and when I can’t take it anymore I cry A LOT for AND with them. And all of Brittainy C Cherry books are like that. I don’t remember one book whatsoever that I didn’t get emotional, that I didn’t cry my heart out and felt the characters in my soul.
ELEANOR & GREY is more than just a romantic book about the couple maned in the title. It’s way more than that. It’s about a girl and a guy that had a lot of heartache in life and how one person CAN help the other just by been there. It’s about the sadness that devastate, the friendship and companionship they gave each other in time of need. About how one person can really make the difference in someone else’s life.
This book is divided in two parts. The first part was amazing! It showed them younger, knowing each other and making a connection, that even when you just read a few pages you could feel the connection too. For me, just for this beginning the book deserved all the stars.
But I think when part II stared I felt like something was missing, the story got a little stuck, I felt like it didn’t give some important answers. The days were kinda the same, I didn’t see the evolution in this part. But after 70% the story got so much better again. It happened so many things. The ending was so beautiful!!!!!!!!! And obvs, made me cry a lot.
ELEANOR & GREY is a beautiful second chance story and I loved this hero and heroine so bad. I really LOVED them. Now I can’t wait to “watch” Season One, Chapter One of L&S. I highly recommend it.
Brittany Cherry never ceases to amaze me with her unique characters and beautiful writing. She puts her heart and soul into her storytelling and you can literally feel it.
From the prologue to the very end this story captivated my complete attention. Eleanor and Greyson’s story put you through all the emotions. Loved all of the secondary characters they all strengthen the story. It was a stunning second chance story told in two parts in dual pov with an amazing ending.
Oh my god this story warmed my heart. This is exactly the type of story I needed right now.
It was refreshing, it was beautiful, oh my god was this story beautiful.
To have a love like Eleanor and Grey was just out of this world. How do you continue on a journey you never in a million years thought you’d get back to and that you never thought you would cross paths again with your first love of all people!
This couldn’t be a more perfect story. The way it started and ended had me shattered, crippled, devastated and after all this sadness, the light started shining and my heart started to beat again and my love grew more and more for these two broken souls. They were it for each other, they were each other’s crutch. And let’s not forget the kids in the story. They may have had flaws, but who doesn’t!! In the end they became the perfect family, and Eleanor and Grey couldn’t have asked for anything better than what they had.
I am looking forward and hoping that Ms. Cherry will give us Landon and Shay’s story next 😉
This love story will definitely stay with me for a long time because I haven’t read a book like this one before!
Now that I have composed myself and can process complete thoughts I shall attempt to give this book the review that it deserves (it’ll fall short for my liking anyways but I’m going to try)
I have loved every word that Brittainy Cherry has written and this book is no exception. She was a way with words that draws you in, holds you captive and then spits you out after end, all while wondering what the hell just happened?
When we meet Eleanor she is a quirky yet lovable and relatable character for anyone who went through that awkward stage in high school. She had a tough time dealing with family issues (I’m trying so very hard to not give anything away ) when she began leaning on Greyson.
Greyson is that popular jock that everyone in high school who has eyes lusted over. He becoming Eleanor’s rock and helps her from drowning from the extreme feelings she’s having.
Things go awry and they lose touch..
Fast forward 15 years and things have changed dramatically. And there is a new dynamic to Grey and Eleanor’s friendship. Will they be able to over come the challengers??? Only time will tell! (So read the book!!)
The emotions that this story evokes is incredible. Award winning even.
I loved this book hard is deserves all the praise that it had received.
5 amazing stars!
One of my top read this year!
Congrats Brittainy!
5.5 Stars
“You know those first few minutes after finishing an amazing book? Those moments when you aren’t quite sure what to do with yourself? You simply sat there, staring at the last words, unsure how to move on with your life. How could it be over?”
And just like that, in chapter 4 of her newest book, Brittainy Cherry summed up exactly how I feel after each book of hers I read. Unsurprisingly it is the perfect description for Eleanor & Grey. There are a few things I’ve come to expect from her writing – a beautiful, emotion-filled story; words written so eloquently that you feel as if you are part of them; characters that are created & developed to the point where you can’t help but love them. With Eleanor & Grey, she delivered as promised, plus gave us so much more.
While Ellie & Grey’s story does span decades, it feels as if it’s lifetimes. From young, naive high schoolers, to broken & bruised adults, their paths seem to cross when each is at their worst and needs the other most. Their journey isn’t all kittens and rainbows, it’s dark and twisty, reality in it’s truest form. And it isn’t just their story, it’s multiple stories and lives intertwined, proving that true love and happiness comes and grows in all forms, and each person plays an integral role.
As a romance lover, I enjoy escaping into stories of undying love and happiness, the gorgeous couples and their happily ever after, but sometimes the perfection gets to be too much. These characters were far from perfect, which is why I loved them so much. Ellie and her unrelenting spirit, who won’t give up even when others want her to; Greyson’s raw pain and emotion; Karla’s scars, inside and out. Each character was a missing piece to the puzzle, and Brittainy Cherry fit them together seamlessly.
While this book will rip your heart out before piecing it back together, it’s a story everyone needs. I haven’t found a Brittainy Cherry book I haven’t loved, and this one proves that no matter what she writes she can do it beautifully. I highly recommend reading Eleanor & Grey, just make sure you’ve got a box of tissues and a bottle of wine handy!
This was my first book by Brittainy, I knew her books are very emotional and angsty, but wasn’t quite prepared for the whole range of emotions and anguish I felt reading this! It’s a beautiful read covering some sensitive issues, not always and easy read, and some parts I really just wanted to throw my kindle away, but it’s very real to life and how we battle through.
Eleanor and Greyson met when they were teenagers, she was the introverted book worm and he was the most popular guy at their school. They struck up a friendship through shared things, like cancer and Harry Potter but came from two very different types of families. He ended up being her rock, the person that was there for her not matter what, until she had to move away, they tried to stay in touch until life just took over.
15 years pass before they meet up again, Ellie is a nanny looking for work, Grey needs someone to look after his two daughters after losing his wife 10 months ago, neither know who the other is until the interview. Ellie is still the same caring and loving girl that she was, but Grey has changed so much – despair, grief, loss, hurt and guilt and crushed him, he his cold and unfeeling, callous even, and doesn’t know how to be in his children’s lives. All Ellie wants to do is help them, having lost her own mother she can relate to everything this family is going through.
It’s a rollercoaster of a ride that will have you smiling and laughing and then bawling your eyes out as your heart breaks. It’s all about family, love, loss, heartbreak, healing and second chances. Definitely worth the read.
Warning: Book hangover ahead!
This is one of the books that stays in your head long after reading.
Eleanor and Greyson met as teenagers; she was 16 and he was 17. Their home lives were opposite, but they had one thing in common: a family member with cancer. They began a friendship, planning an adventure each week so that for just a few hours a week Ellie was not thinking about her mother’s illness. Even after Ellie’s parents decided to move to Florida so her mom could experience the ocean before it was too late, their bond remained strong. Eventually their lives moved on and they lost touch. Years later, Ellie has moved back to their hometown and is roommates with her cousin Shay. She works as a nanny and when she is no longer needed with the family she’s been with, the mother tells her she’s recommended her to another family who needs a nanny. Ellie goes to the interview, not knowing the children are Greyson’s and his wife had died.
This is an emotional, intense book. I read the final chapters at work on my lunch break and was seriously needing tissues. This was a beautiful story of healing. Eleanor is exactly what Greyson and his daughters, 14 year old Karla and 6 year old Lorelei, need to find their way back to each other and begin to heal instead of hiding away in their pain.
I highlighted so much in this book. Some of my favorites:
“Something should’ve been said about the people who showed up for the depressed souls. They never received enough credit for being brave enough to stay.”
“Love wasn’t only real because people said it out loud. No, love just kind of sat their quietly, in the shadows of the night, healing the cracks that lived on our heart.”
There is so much I could say about this book. In fact, I have a whole page full of notes from reading this story. But to put it all here would delve into spoiler territory, and I don’t want to do that. This is a book that needs to be experienced. It is a story of friendship, and being there, of loss and hope and healing. It’s the story of a family learning how to be a family again.
More of that Brittainy C Cherry! More of that! This book was everything and if I could rate it more than 5 stars, 10 stars I would. The love, hurt, pain, highs, and lows you will experience while reading this book just grips your heart and squeezes and squeezes until you are left wrung out but in the very best of ways. Really words cannot do this book justice. Just know it involves family, tears, and lots and lots of emotions!
Becoming part of a story means the author has given you what you need as a reader. They’ve created characters you understand, those you can relate to. It means you get a glimpse of the internal battle authors fight with the voices in their head.
Brittainy C. Cherry has superseded every expectation imaginable and for a few hours I no longer resided in San Antonio, TX. I was swept away to another place, injected into another family and living another life.
Eleanor is a girl, that grew into a woman and became one of the strongest heroines I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. Her strength doesn’t come from being a badass; it comes from her compassion, her heart, her patience and her unwavering faith.
Greyson is a boy, that grew into a man and became everything he never wanted to be. His journey into the abyss comes from loss, fear, guilt and a heart broken. It swallows him whole, and holds him captive in a world of despair.
Ellie and Grey started their journey years ago while in high school. They met, they experienced young love, and they grew. He was her rock. Unfortunately, life and tragedies caused them to grow apart. But are you ever truly apart from your first love? Are there always embers glowing in the background?
Fast forward a few years; through some tragic losses, diabolical pain and harsh realities, Eleanor finds herself back on the journey with Greyson. She’s now his strength. This journey is not smooth or easy, it’s not a Sunday evening drive or a joyride. It’s filled with pain, regret, guilt, harsh realities, and unspoken truths. Ellie is no longer the girl he knew, and Grey is no longer the boy that was her rock. Two roads. Two journeys. One destination.
As I was reading this novel, I was messaging Brittainy because I was an emotional wreck (I still am). I laughed out loud one minute, I sobbed (no crying, sobbing) the next. I screamed a few times. I was totally disgusted at one point, yet purely hopeful at another.
I want to say that Brittainy’s talent is amazing, but what she posses is more than talent. Talent can be honed. It can be taught. But a gift, a gift is exceptional, a gift is endowed within you. Words are endowed within Brittainy.
Her prose is magical, her storytelling ability is phenomenal and every single bit of it was displayed in Eleanor and Grey. It’s one thing when you feel your soul in a book; it’s a true testament to the author when you feel theirs. And I felt Brittainy’s.
The thing is Brittainy ripped me apart, but she put me back together. She broke me down, but she picked me up. She made me weak, but she gave me strength. She tapped in on every nerve, every sinew, everything that makes me love reading. Her words are masterful. Truly poetic. Definitely surreal. Astonishingly beautiful. Emotionally fulfilling.
I’m not sure if I’ll ever move past this story. I’m not sure if I want to. The poignant moments. The truths. The feels. The words. The characters, to include the supporting cast. No, I don’t want to move past it. I want to live in it. To revel in it. To bask in the afterglow of Eleanor and Grey.
Brittainy C. Cherry squeezed my heart painfully with her beautiful lyrical words. She burrowed deep inside my heart and pulled out all the emotions. I cried a lot because the story resonated with me. I cried for all the persons I lost and for the pieces of myself I lost with them. This story was a personal journey for me. And I can’t emphasize enough on the sheer brilliance and utter perfection of the story. This is story of finding light after darkness. This is a story of learning to live again. This story will be a source of inspiration to me forever.
The strong point of the story is the writing. Excruciatingly intense writing. Eleanor & Grey has went through hell . And I was right there with them. I hurt for them. I hurt for Karla and Lorelei.I felt extreme relief when they found their way back to each other. The pages are full to the brim with emotions and you can’t help but drown in them. You won’t be able to remain unaffected by the magnitude and depth of the love between Eleanor and Grace. Their bond is one of strongest, purest and most magnificent thing I have read about in a long time.
Anyone who lost a loved one would identify immediately with Eleanor & Grey by Brittainy C. Cherry. Death isn’t about one person. The living souls sometimes die their own kind of death. And that’s even more difficult to cope with. I think every reader will embrace the story differently depending their own life experiences. There are so many valuable take home messages in the story. And I bet no one will be the same person after finishing the story. And that’s the highest compliment I can think of.
Received ARC for Honest Review
So it’s been awhile since I’ve found myself in a character. Eleanor is a good after my own heart. I just wish I would have had a Grey in my life like her. She is caring, kind, good hearted girl plus a bookworm. She loves her Harry Potter and wants everyone around her to love it as well. She is a wallflower. The weird girl or Braceface as people called her. Grey sees more. He helps during an highly emotional time in her life. When I say highly emotional, I mean it. This book had me crying more then I expected going on. I was a mess reading this book. It hit me in the feels over and over again. The hardest part was with Grey and his girls. The family had some pain and weren’t dealing with at all. Eleanor was the light they all needed. Just writing this review is making me cry all over again. It’s bringing back all those times and I can’t help to cry. This book will stay with me for a while and I can’t wait to read more from this author. She brings the emotions to a higher level in this book. It is a beautifully written book with characters you can’t help but love.
Every once in a while I come across a book that grabs me, and I just can’t put it down. “Eleanor & Grey” is one of those books. I can’t say enough good things about it. I wasn’t sure where the author was going at first; it seemed like it would be a “young love stays true” type of story. But then the author threw me for a loop and made me re-evaluate my perspective on the relationship between the two characters. I loved the way this was written. It was poetic at times, and haunting at others. The characters are fully formed, nobody came across as a stereotype or a caricature. I felt for and with these characters: I ached, I laughed, and I cried (and I do not usually cry at books). This was a wonderful story of heartbreak, loss, and redemption, and I loved every minute of it. I cannot recommend it highly enough. It was just that good. This is a must-read that should go on TBR lists immediately! This review was based on a complimentary pre-release copy.
WOW, WOW, WOW!!! 6/5 Stars for me!
This book pulled me in from the very beginning, I was so invested in Greyson and Ellie’s story from start to finish. I sobbed big, ugly tears in several parts of this book because I just felt every word and every emotion that was written in this story.
Without giving spoilers, this is a highly emotional story that starts in high school for Greyson and Eleanor (Ellie), they are separated due to circumstances outside of their control and lose touch. 15 years later they reconnect at a tragic time for Greyson where he is emotionaly shut off. Ellie tries to help Greyson overcome his tragedy and live again. It is such an incredible story!!!
GAH, Brittainy Cherry, you are such an incredible writer; your words slay me. I will follow you anywhere! xo!
I’m not sure how I feel about Eleanor And Grey by Brittany C. Cherry, to be honest. Yes, it was beautifully written, and was a very emotional story that made me cry, and also smile. But, there were just some parts I couldn’t quite understand after they way they had felt for each other, and others things left unclear or unresolved. I can’t say what they were without giving spoilers and that’s not me.
The first 20 chapters were Ellie and Grey’s teenage years, where they met and became a unit. Grey helped Ellie with a deep loss, but then they were forced apart and didn’t see each other again for fifteen years.
Tragedy brings them back into the circle of each others lives and they slowly help heal the broken parts in each other… will they get to stay together this time or will history repeat itself?
This is by an author who never fails to play with my heart. A love story years in the making. As with her other books this story deals with real issues. Love and loss are everywhere in the book. Characters you will relate to, you will feel their unrestrained joy and feel every ounce of their heartbreak. The sadness is unavoidable however so is the happiness. The feeling of hope and second chances is what I will take from this book.
Another amazing book from an author who is always at the top of my list.
