The night I met Drew Jagger, he’d just broken into my new Park Avenue office. I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills. He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing.Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant. Only, turned out, he wasn’t an intruder at all.Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He’d been on vacation … been on vacation while his posh space was renovated. Which was how a scammer got away with leasing me office space that wasn’t really available for rent. I was swindled out of ten grand.
The next day, after hours at the police station, Drew took pity on me and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. In exchange for answering his phones while his secretary was out, he’d let me stay until I found a new place. I probably should have acted grateful and kept my mouth shut when I overheard the advice he was spewing to his clients. But I couldn’t help giving him a piece of my mind. I never expected my body to react every time we argued. Especially when that was all we seemed to be able to do.
The two of us were complete opposites. Drew was a bitter, angry, gorgeous-as-all-hell, destroyer of relationships. And my job was to help people save their marriages. The only thing the two of us had in common was the space we were sharing. And an attraction that was getting harder to deny by the day.

Loved this book! Came across it accidentally and couldn’t put it down. Pulled me right in and held me until the very end. Great writing, character building, terrific flow with just enough angst to keep you on the edge and keep you turning those pages!
Loved this story! Drew is the perfect book boyfriend. A lot alpha and a lot caring. Emotional ending. Read this book, please.

*4 Stars*
I always enjoy Vi Keeland books, and this one was no different. Our main characters meet under interesting circumstances, and the story plays out in a really fun way, albeit with some serious issues involved too.
A really nicely written book that I enjoyed reading. Always look forward to more from this author.
Changing a few words can completely alter a quote
Emerie Rose, fresh from Oklahoma thinks she’s gotten a steal on renting office space when she moves to New York. Instead, she’s been fleeced by a con artist who rented her Drew Jagger’s office while he was on vacation. Drew the hard-nosed lawyer becomes Emerie’s white knight and allows her to share his space. So begins the tug of war between the soft-hearted psychologist trying to save marriages, and the jaded divorce attorney convinced that matrimony never works because he sees the evidence of it every day. Emerie is the type who writes uplifting little inspirational quotes on her door, and of course, Drew rewrites them to turn them into something provocative and dirty. You will laugh your pants off at times, and not be able to resist the roguish Drew any more than Emerie can.
Bloody AMAZING !
I Absolutely Loved Drew and Emeries Love story.
Even though they were opposites they were so HOT and perfect together.
I was addicted to Vi Keeleand’s words and could not get enough.
A brilliant read.
I Highly recommend it.
5 super sexy Stars
This was an easy read and well written. The best part is that it was page turning, romantic, funny and upsetting all at the same time. Love the characters and the storyline. But why are they always so short?
Always love a good romance with entertaining characters and makes you laugh. The dialogue between Drew and Emerie was phenomenal from the very beginning. Made me want to keep reading to see what was next. Although their professions (him a divorce lawyer specializing with men and she as a psychologist trying to keep couples together) it actually helped their relationship grow. His devotion to his son let you know he really had the son’s needs at heart.
Funny, sweet, sexy, well done
Entertaining, fun. funny read.
I loved the story and character development
A great read! Loved Emerie and Drew. Enjoyed the conflict of interest between them.
Opposites do indeed attract in this story that includes a very eventful meeting and subsequent interactions. Loved the banter and chemistry between thes two. Easy to read and kept my interest through the entire book.
Loved the characters in this story! Their connection was kismet.
Vi can do no wrong in her writing. This was funny, sexy, alpha and crazy great. Drew Jagger is a jaded divorce lawyer who finds Emerie Rose a psychologist in his office on New Years Eve, she thought he was an intruder, he had no clue about her. Through quit a few hilarious circumstances they really become good friends. Their banter is fun because she does not back down ever. Full of emotion, laughs and hot sex. LOVED IT
Egomaniac is an incredible romp through Park Avenue. Vi Keeland writes about a naive Oklahoma marriage counselor and a jaded divorce attorney. Each has their reasons for needing the other and what is a friendship of convenience turns into a “hot as fire” love fest. Keeland shows the depth of her characters with a deep backstory and compelling side characters.
Emerie follows an Ambi man (ambivalent man. C’mon we’ve all dated this guy right?) to New York and locates office space on Park Avenue from a shady realtor. While in construction, she’s the only one there until the legitimate owner of the office comes back. Enter Drew Jagger, sexy, hot as hell, single. A divorce attorney who only takes male clients because of personal baggage.
Ambi man finally has some competition. Emerie is all Drew can think about and he’s not about to share what is his. Egomaniac is “laugh out loud funny” and gives all the sexy feels of a great romance with a more than satisfying HEA.
h: Emerie
H: Drew
(Dual POVs)
This book provided steam, a tiny bit of heartache and quite a few laughs! I thought the way these two happen to meet was quite comical and unique! The irony of Drew being a divorce lawyer and Emerie being a marriage counselor, working side by side was hilarious!
Drew wasn’t your typical broody, womanizing hero. He was pretty flirtatious! Sure, he didn’t commit to relationships and might have slept around, but he atleast seemed to act like a gentleman, and not a dick that didn’t respect women or throw them to the curb. It is so swoon-worthy to see a man fight for his child, no matter how much money it takes, how hard he has to fight, how many times he has to go to court.
That ending was so sweet! overall, I thought this was an adorable read!
Favorite Quotes:
“That’ll be the last time you say no to me.”
“Is that so?”
“You bet your damn ass. Now that I know how good we are together, you can say no, but I won’t be taking it for an answer.”
“Guess you can say I grew a pair of balls.”
She softened. It looked like she wanted to believe me, but was skeptical. I couldn’t say I blamed her.
“How do I know they’re not going to shrivel up and disappear again?”
Drew is a sexy divorce lawyer in New York. He returns to his office from a vacation in Hawaii to find a woman using his office space. She’s a curvy redheaded beauty that he can’t stop staring at. Emerie is a marriage counselor and recently moved to New York and thought she legitimately rented this office space for her practice, but quickly realizes she was scammed. Drew helps her out of that situation, and then another, and then offers her a deal she can’t refuse. They begin to learn more about each other the more they work and spend time together.
I devoured this book. This was so good and such a page turner I could have read it in one sitting no doubt. It was a quick and easy read and it was funny, but once again, with SO much more to the story. I loved both MC’s, Drew and Emerie. I loved the way they met and it had me laughing out loud. They have such great chemistry and banter. Even though Drew is a huge egomaniac, he’s not at all what I was expecting him to be. He works hard, has the biggest heart, he’s caring, and a fighter. He fights hard for what he loves, and doesn’t give up. Emerie is funny, sassy, loyal, and beautiful. She easily keeps up with Drew and has such an open mind when it comes to the things she learns in his life and cares for him a lot. There’s steam, humor, a little bit of angst, and all the feels!!! Highly recommend this book 🙂
Love this author
I enjoyed this thorough divorce lawyer / marriage counselor novel. I liked watching the relationship and personalities evolve and all of the times they went through. Some humor and some heartwarming moments. Definitely a steamy romance.
