The night I met Drew Jagger, he’d just broken into my new Park Avenue office. I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills. He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing.Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant. Only, turned out, he wasn’t an intruder at all.Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He’d been on vacation … been on vacation while his posh space was renovated. Which was how a scammer got away with leasing me office space that wasn’t really available for rent. I was swindled out of ten grand.
The next day, after hours at the police station, Drew took pity on me and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. In exchange for answering his phones while his secretary was out, he’d let me stay until I found a new place. I probably should have acted grateful and kept my mouth shut when I overheard the advice he was spewing to his clients. But I couldn’t help giving him a piece of my mind. I never expected my body to react every time we argued. Especially when that was all we seemed to be able to do.
The two of us were complete opposites. Drew was a bitter, angry, gorgeous-as-all-hell, destroyer of relationships. And my job was to help people save their marriages. The only thing the two of us had in common was the space we were sharing. And an attraction that was getting harder to deny by the day.

This is one of my favorite books by this author. It’s such a light, sexy, and fun read, and there’s even a little bit of angst. Vi’s dynamic writing style and her plot ideas are incredible. There’s no other like her and she always makes me feel all the feels. I felt this one in particular for personal reasons, and the way the characters, scenarios, and plot mix up together makes it so easy to love and enjoy this book.
Drew Jagger is the kind of man that would make any woman weak in the knees, he’s rich, he’s a lawyer, and he is sinfully gorgeous, with an ego to boot, and Emerie is determined to not fall for him. But that is easier said then done when you work alongside of him day in and day out, watching him in his element, commanding attention, and dishing out orders for his clients. Then she begins to see a side of him that is so unexpected that it begins to throw her for a loop, and her determination starts to falter, and she soon finds herself in his arms and in his bed, and once she is there she never wants to leave. But she knew going in that Drew doesn’t do relationships so this little thing of theirs is over before it really begins to get started… or is it?
Drew doesn’t do love, relationships, or anything that involves feelings, he traveled down that road once before and found himself nursing a broken heart in the end and he has no intention of repeating that. But then Emerie comes crashing into his world and he starts to realize not all women are alike, she is everything his ex-wife wasn’t, and she actually cares about the man under the suit, and she makes him feel needed and appreciated… and damn if it doesn’t feel good. But can this little thing they share actually last, or is it destined to fizzle out just like his last relationship?
Egomaniac is a sultry little feel good tale that is sure to win the hearts of readers, with it’s emotional story line, well crafted characters and steamy moments it’s a can’t miss read! This was my first experience with this author’s work and I have to say after devouring this delectable little tale I am a huge fan, from the moment I cracked the cover on this one I was completely captivated! Single parent stories are one of my favorite tropes to read and this one definitely hit the mark; it had the emotional depth that inspired a serious case of the feels, the sultry side that inspired the swoons, and the delicate side that touched my heart… simply said it was AMAZING!! I highly recommend you get your hands on this one, one page into it and you will be hooked!!
Oh, all of the feels. I really liked this guy! And the girl, too! What a great, great story! It even left me a little teary-eyed at the end. It’s true. I am such a sucker for a happy ending. This is one of those books where the guy tries to be all player and not care about women, just uses them for sex and then he meets her. The one. And she’s great, and quirky, and the polar opposite of anyone he’s ever been with. So naturally they have that chemistry that bonds them together. All the feels. So good.
I got the audiobook of Egomanica.. it was a nice story, the level of angst was very, very subtle, it was a fast read but still was a good book..
Drew is a guy who has it all but still doesn’t want to get attached to any women, he has a son and has a past that needs to be solve.. Emerie Rose a beautiful girl who happens to lease Drew office while he was away.. when Drew finally gets back in town he finds that his office is now occupied by a gorgeous woman, Emerie Rose. she swears is her office and Drew too but this is all a misunderstanding that they have to solve.. meanwhile he offers to Emerie to stay in the other office while she keeps looking for another option..
Emerie Rose is a psychologist who happens to specialize in couples therapy and Drew is a very famous divorce attorney.. eventually this will perfectly fit for both..
it was a beautiful story.. you can feel the build up between them.. how slowly they start to feel and have feelings for each other..
