Lindsey is expecting silent nights this holiday. Just her and her boys while her husband serves overseas. But her blue Christmas turns merry when things start rockin’ under the mistletoe thanks to a surprise gift from her naughty Santa.
After all…the nice list is overrated.
I love NOLA, it’s been too long since I visited and so I’m going there via Boys of the Big Easy. So much fun! Eggnog Makes Her Easy is really a novella featuring Lindsey and Matt. It helps to have read at least one of the other books in this series before this one, but it isn’t absolutely necessary. You’ll just understand who the characters are and how they fit together if you do. Ms Nicholas packs a lot into the pages of this one! When I wasn’t laughing I was swooning over the love between Matt and Lindsey. Even though this is a Christmas story, I read it on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. I did have an urge for eggnog but settled for putting cranberries, oranges, and spiced orange bitters in my sangria. 🙂
I’m a mess. This story is so emotional that I need more tissues. Beautiful, pure and with a love so deep you can’t breathe.
A sexy nouvella with some truly poignant moments since it describes situations that any family with an active military member may have to go through. Even though it was a short read, it flowed well and the characters were well developed. This author never disappoints!
Lindsay, a teacher, is raising her two boys while her husband is a soldier and across the world. It’s Christmas time and her support group for single parents, even though she’s not single, she’s raising the boys by herself most of the time. She is missing her husband who she met at a Santa race years ago but knows he is doing important work. Lindsay is expecting to spend Christmas with her boys when she gets a surprise.
This is really short but so romantic and a little silly. I just about cried but my heart also swelled with the love I felt between these two.
Eggnog Makes Her Easy is a contemporary holiday romance by Erin Nicholas. This is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Ms. Nicholas has provided readers with a well-written book. I love the characters in this story. Lindsey’s husband is in the Army so she joins her friends of the single parents support group for a Christmas Party. The Santa for the kids departed before the kids and now the Santa for the adults has arrived. A really hot Santa, in leather. I enjoyed reading Eggnog Makes Her Easy and look forward to my next book by Erin Nicholas. Eggnog Makes Her Easy is book 2.5 of the Boys of the Big Easy Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
A friend recommended this book and I am so happy they did. This book was fantastic and I had no idea that there was books before it, the story was well written and flowed. The main characters Matt and Lindsey were amazing and their story is touching. All the other characters are awesome and add to the story. The twist in this story was phenomenal. This is a military story and has a happy ending.
This is a short story about Matt and Lindsey. I’m telling you now if you haven’t read it you definitely need to. If you’re a fan of Erin Nicholas , and she talks about eggnog. After reading this you will know why. This is a must read.
Awwww my poor heart. I was totally smiling and crying through this whole story. I’m truly grateful for the soldiers out there and the families waiting for them to come home.
With the Christmas holiday fast approaching, readers will find this a decadently delightful novella full of heart and soul that provides a few hours of escape from the hustle and bustle. With the topic of military sacrifices fueling this tale, it makes it a timely and heart-wrenching topic that reminds us of what to be truly grateful for. It’s a tale that pulls at the heartstrings and puts readers on a roller coaster ride of emotions that will leave you satisfied by The End.
Matt and Lindsey met at Christmastime ten years ago and have made a life for themselves despite Matt’s many absences due to his devotion to the military. From the very beginning they knew the hardships the separations would cause and still stood solidly together in their love for each other and their love for the country. Theirs is an inspirational connection as they take pride in keeping the country safe, take pride in making it a better place through his work and her teaching, and their heartfelt discussions about why they live the way they do warmed my heart. Those rare times when they’re together they live life to the fullest, they embrace every word and deed to pull out when they need to be uplifted, and their unwavering love is the epitome of romance. Along with these heavy discussions came moments of lightheartedness that utterly charmed me. This was a playful couple with enjoyable scenes of naughty talk teeming with sensuality that scorched up the pages and left me with a blush a time or two and made for a nice balance between matters of the heart and being duty bound.
In every way this couple showed how much in love they are and each reunion just solidifies their deep connection in a story that was a perfect addition to the Boys of the Big Easy series. Readers were introduced to Matt, who’s the epitome of hero, a soldier who’s sexy in body as well as in mind and soul. His strong-willed wife Lindsey is just as heroic in sacrificing time with her husband in support of the country. They’re a loving couple, wholeheartedly supportive of each other, and their marriage is the picture-perfect kind that belongs on the front of a Christmas card. Surrounding them are the other members of the support group that has brought together other couples in this series. They’re an group that was fun with witty and flirty banter that showed them to be an unconventional family of their own making. Their scenes also hint at more romance to come between two friends who clearly should be more and it has me jumping up and down in anticipation. On a whole readers looking for a feel good holiday romance will get all that and more courtesy of this early Christmas gift from Ms. Nicholas!
Eggnog Makes Her Easy is a sweet, heartwarming holiday read! We get to hang with the group of characters from the Boys of the Big Easy series, but this is Matt and Lindsey’s Christmas story.
You will laugh with the whole cast of characters and enjoy all the warms feels from two people who absolutely love each other and their family. Matt and Lindsey give us an idea of the sacrifices that not only the men and women in the military make to keep us safe, but what sacrifices that the families who love and support them everyday while waiting for them to return home safe and sound.
So, during the holidays give out a special thanks to all those who sacrifice to allow us the freedoms that we enjoy every day.
5 star review Eggnog Makes Her Easy (Boys Of The Big Easy) by Erin Nicholas
Having read a couple of books in this series I couldn’t wait to see what Erin Nicholas had in store for the holiday season. Oh what a little gem Eggnog Makes Her Easy is. I was totally hooked from the first to the last page. Lindsay LaSalle is a military wife and expects to be celebrating the holidays with her sons whilst her husband Matt is on active duty overseas. She is also a member of a New Orleans Single Parent support group where she has made life long friends.
This is a fun, romantic, sweet, steamy, emotional story that absolutely tugged at my heart strings. Erin Nicholas had me both laughing and crying in this emotional story. Sometimes we forget the sacrifice that those who serve give, it is not only the service men and women but also their families as well and this story certainly highlighted that and so much more for me.
The love that Lindsey and Matt share was beautiful to read about and I was so happy to read their story. It is one that has set the tone for the holiday season and gave me a new appreciation for those who sacrifice for the greater good.
The only drawback to Eggnog Makers Her Easy is that I would have loved it to have been a full length novel rather than the novella it is, but that’s me being greedy.
If you haven’t read any of the other books in this series, do yourselves a favour and one click when you can..
Another darling couple in the “Boys of the Big Easy” series! I totally enjoyed the relationship that Matt and Lindsey share. Even though they often are apart, they still are so close to one another. The traditions they had were fun to watch. My favorite part though had to be Lindsey’s reaction to General, and her very quick acceptance of him too! A fun little holiday treat!
I loved, loved, loved this holiday novella! I must confess that I am a sucker for all things Christmas so getting a chance to read an advance copy of Eggnog Makes Her Easy was a real treat for me. I really enjoy the books in the Boys of the Big Easy series and this sweet novella is no exception. Lindsey is friends with everyone through the single parent support group that they are all members of. She’s been married to Matt for a decade but he serves in the Army as is often deployed out of the country. She loves her husband and supports his career even though some days are harder than others and the Christmas season is a rough time. Matt has planned a surprise visit home and wants to make the most of his time with his wife and his two sons. This novella had me laughing, crying and fanning myself. If you haven’t read the rest of the series I recommend it highly.
What a beautifully sexy and sweet rollercoaster. Lindsey lives the single parent life most of the time while her husband Matt is deployed. When a sexy Santa makes an appearance at the single parent support group, she is stunned at his real identity. This short sexy story gave me all the highs and lows. I truly appreciated the honesty in a military family’s life as they navigate the road of a loved one being away and returning only to leave again. The intensity of capturing those moments with the ones you love is magnified. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Eggnog Makes Her Easy was one fantastic story Erin Nicholas has really written one fabulous story. OMG I so loved this story. There is a whole lot of heart in this book. I could not read it fast enough but when I did finish I was wiping my tears and smiling the whole time. Matt and Lindsey are two incredible characters and I just want to say so much but I don’t want to give anything away. This was a wonderful addition to the Boys of the Big Easy series, this just fits right in. For me this is my favorite of the series so far. This in my opinion is definitely a must read for the holidays. I absolutely loved and highly recommend this great book. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and loved it so much I one clicked it. Hope you will enjoy this great story as much as I loved it.

OMG, Christmas is just around the corner and Erin Nicholas sure wants to bring all the holiday spirit to the people in the Boys of the Big Easy series, especially Lindsay…
Her husband is overseas serving so she and her boys are again celebrating the holidays alone…that is until Naughty Santa shows up and brings her a surprise she will never forget!
Hot, sexy, laughter, mistletoe, eggnog and tears (happy ones) are all rolled into this amazing read!!
Absolutely loved this novella!!!! It was a wonderful love story and tribute to the military. Loved how Matt surprised Lindsey and their playfulness. I know it’s a novella but I wanted more of them. I couldn’t put it down. Erin Nicholas never disappoints and I always think ‘this is my favorite’ then another new book comes out. Definitely a must read to put you in a holiday spirit.
Fabulous and heart-wrenching. Books like this make you appreciate everything our soldiers and their families go through. I loved Lindsey and Matt! They made me laugh and cry – and oh my goodness they were sexy. This was a great addition to the series – after getting to know Lindsey through Dana’s eyes, it was fun to meet Matt. Not your typical ending, but I hope all ends well for this couple down the line. They are so fabulous and deserve nothing less!
Ho! Ho! Ho! It’s an early Christmas gift, is what this book is! Erin Nicholas wrote a scorchingly hot, incredibly sweet, and totally amazing holiday love story. And who wouldn’t want to find Matt under their Christmas tree this year?
Matt’s in the Army and hello, he is good at it and finds it immensely rewarding. It’s where he’s meant to be: making the world a little bit safer. Even better, his wife Lindsey is 100% onboard with that. She knows this is what he wants, what he is, and she is so supportive. Matt recognizes how much she works to make his life a little easier too.
Some eggnog (my favorite holiday drink), some crazy Santas, and a Christmas picnic might be the best meet-cute I have ever read. And really, it just sets the stage for how amazing Matt and Lindsey are together. Because they are! There is just so much love between them it all but leaps off the pages and into your heart.
And with friends like these: way to go, Logan (Taking It Easy) who helps to make this holiday reunion happen. Plus, friends make it so much better when you are cramming “all summer in a day” and having all the holidays you’ll miss with family because you’re overseas in 24 hours.
For me, the best part of this book was the absolute love Matt and Lindsey have for each other and their children. It was the sacrifice every military family makes, not just the servicemembers, but the families who are without them for major milestones and holidays. It was the tension between time with loved ones and the next mission, maybe even having to head back sooner than anticipated. It was the “Chreaster” (Christmas and Easter). It was the joy at being together, tempered by the knowledge that the time is fleeting. And the strength and love to weather it all together and still be so supportive.
This is a love story – and it has a lot of layers. And did I mention it’s scorchingly hot! And this is my favorite book so far in this series which just keeps getting better and better! This holiday season I’ll be thinking about Matt and Lindsey and all the military families who live this every day and how strong they are.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This isn’t a typical Erin book with a HEA. Of course there is still all of the hot guys, romance, and sex BUT it is a true description of military life. I have had many friends marry into the military and it isn’t an easy life. There are long deployments which means they are basically a single mom during that time. Matt and Lindsey have been through many overseas trips due to his job. Lindsey is part of the single parent group that Addison and Gabe are members of due to her role 75% of the time being a single parent while Matt is away. If you think you loved Gabe and Logan, you will adore Matt. He is a hardworking man who desperately loves his family but also has the heart and passion to save the world. Lindsey is an amazing mother who does everything she can while letting her husband pursue his dreams. You will laugh, you will cry, and you will want to do dirty things with eggnog!
