I have never had an encounter that could not be explained by normal occurrences but I do love a good ghost story. Let us just say I am a skeptic but enjoy the paranormal, especially ghost type. This book was awesome because, first, Rhonda Parrish is an awesome author and she brought such sensibility to this book that I was able to enjoy it without becoming annoyed at somethings that often are said when people just want to believe in something and ignore other possibilities. But this book has a lot to make me think as well. I also loved reading about the history of Edmonton and I loved this book.

Written by Rhonda Parrish as she reveals the accounts of medium Rona Anderson as they compare their personal experiences with documented stories. They make a tour of the supposedly haunted.buildings in Edmonton. In addition, they look into some personal claims of haunting. I liked the way the book was set up, giving some background, then documented events, their own experience and seeing if what they found matches historical data. It was an interesting look into the paranormal from an investigative point of view. I enjoyed the book.. did it make me a believer, no, it did not change my opinion. I already believed that there are spirits among us but that is my story. If you want to get the scoop on Edmonton’s ghosts though, pick up this book.

More than just a guided tour, this book took me right into the heart and soul of the city and the people who have lived there. I geek old buildings so this was perfect for my interests, and the photos were like icing on a cake. Canada and ghost stories, what’s not to love?
