This is book one in the Arrows Edge MC series. Ready to meet two characters that will knock your socks off? What about a story line that will rock your world? Even better, watch two people that are so hard shelled open themselves up, just this once and let someone else in. Meet Trunk, a man that is truly a complicated, very deep character. The book blurb says it best “My name is Trunk. I am a riding contradiction.
A scholar, a cynic, a brother, and a biker.”
Meet Jaimie, a woman that again is a complex character with so many layers. The book blurb describes her as “I am a misguided romantic.
A mom, a daughter, an agent, and a survivor.”
The story that unfolds in this book is simply amazing and had me hooked from the beginning. It truly sucked me in and spit me out once I read the last word. I have read other books by this author and this one has topped them all in my favorites list. I cannot wait to read more in this series. Enjoy!

I couldn’t wait to read Edge of Reason and it didn’t dissapoint. I love the way Ms. Barker weaves her stories. They are well written, believeable happenings, right amount of mystery and suspense, romantic, and once I start reading, I don’t want to put it down. Her characters are relatable, and so likeable. I thought Trunk and Jamie were so good for eachother. I love how she includes previous characters in too. I can’t wait for the next story in this series.
I absolutely loved this story in the new Arrow’s Edge MC series!!! Jaimie and Trunk are complete opposites, Jaimie is outgoing, vivacious, loves spending time with friends and family. Trunk is stoic, keeps to himself, and prefers the company of few. Trunk doesn’t want to be friends let alone attracted to Jaimie but even he can’t deny the pull she has on him. With all of the things that are happening to the club plus all of the threats that Jaimie is getting from her ex, can they find a way to make a relationship work? I loved their story so much, they were so good for each other. I laughed, cried, swooned, and was on the edge of my seat. There is so many ups and downs, twists and turns that you didn’t see coming but that is what makes this such a good story! I recommend this book to all and I can’t wait to see what is coming up next…well done!!
I’ve read several books written by Freyer Barker; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

Well worth reading!
Jamie and Trunk have an interesting history that is explained in this tale and the new future for them to work for. Enjoyed these characters and story line.

Lula’s brother, Trunk (a/k/a Titus) is a psychologist, MC member, and confirmed bachelor. He and Lula did not have a traditional upbringing, and he’s never done relationships – he’s a little unpolished, but has a big heart. He also learned early on about the unfairness of race relations. And yet, he’s so drawn to Jamie… She’s a single white mother, so strong and independent, and Lula’s agent, having moved to Durango after her ex-husband was convicted of crimes related to a white supremacist group. And she doesn’t take crap from anyone. Things are so hot between them; everyone else knows it before they are willing to admit to it or act on it. But it’s not just a physical attraction… This is an incredible book. Along the way to their happy ending, they encounter much more hatred, with a ton of action, injury, kidnapping, suspense, mystery, and some hot romance. As always, I’ve completely fallen for the hero. But River is the star in this book – this little boy steals the heart of everyone near him, and sees only the good in Trunk. This is a really incredible book, but only a small part of the wonderful group that Ms. Barker has created – these are good people, caring for their friends like family, always there when they’re needed. I can’t wait for her next book!

What an emotional love story between Trunk and Jaimie. Breaking down walls built around their hearts, judgemental stereotypes, and killers out to get them solidified the one thing they both knew…they need each other. Love, drama, and family all wrapped up in one amazing book.
Loved, loved, loved it!
Edge Of Reason is the first book in the Arrow’s Edge MC series and I absolutely loved everything about it. The characters are wonderful, strong, independent, intelligent, and both have issues in their pasts to overcome. The writing is amazing and captivating, keeping my interest throughout the entire story, with drama, danger, passion, shootings, murder, and so many emotional moments that your heart aches while you are reading.
I cannot wait to read more books in this fabulous series.

After getting to know Jaimie and Trunk via Tracking Tahlula I was stoked this book was about them. Jaimie is trying to put her life together after the devastating betrayal and evilness of her ex husband and after moving to Durango she starts to see what real family and friends look like and then there is Trunk who she met through his sister Tahlula who is also her boss.
Trunk and Jaimie dance around their attraction for each other, which I found super sweet and loved getting to know them more. Bad things start to happen to the Arrow’s Edge MC and you are caught up in wanting to know who is behind everything as well as wanting Jaimie and Trunk to get it on! There is some great tension, awkward moments that make you giggle, betrayal, amazing friendships, heartbreak and a story that has you hooked from the get go and wanting more after you get to the end!!!!
Edge of Reason is a must read for so many reasons… These characters are characters that are people across the street.. meaning they are so relatable. There are real problems that the characters face and real relationships these characters build. This story connects Trunk and Jamie, and there are so many feels. Trunk seems emotionally unavailable at first glance but what you get is a protective perfect alpha male that treats Jamie the way she deserves to be treated…. respected and loved.
The story is told so well… I would call this a romantic suspense. The story is so rich and well written that the pages practically turn themselves! Great characters. Great story, great series…
Freya Barker has done it again and given her readers a great book and wonderful characters. Trunk, aka Titus Maximus Rae, is a child psychologist and a member of Arrows Edge MC. He finds himself inexplicably drawn to his sister’s best friend, Jaimie and her son. Unfortunately, his attention is being pulled towards a homeless teen, someone trying to undermine the club’s businesses, and a racial attack on a young boy. Things turn deadly for the bi-racial couple and no one is safe.
Being of mixed heritage myself, I loved the different points of view towards Trunk and Jaimie from both sides, black and white. Barker covers it all realistically from the judgement, skepticism and thoughtless comments. This together with romance and edge of your seat suspense makes Edge of Reason a must read.

Another winner by Freya Baker! I’m not normally a big fan of MC, but I can’t get enough of Freya Baker’s. She writes such great books that suck you right in and you don’t come up for air until you’re finished. I couldn’t put this one down. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I just loved Jamie and Trunk. Trunk is going to make ovaries explode when you read the parts with him and River. The big giant of a man has a big teddy bear interior for those he cares about. There are the moments that have you gasping to know what’s going to happen next and those serious moments. Along the way though there are plenty of happy, make your hear happy sigh moments. Trunk has several swoon worthy moments. This is a book I highly recommend and I truly can’t wait for the next book in the series.
This is such a beautiful read of a journey of two hardened people coming together. I really enjoyed the characters, even when short and rude. This is incredibly written and has an engrossing plot.
I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.
Omg Trunk and Jamie!
I’m at a loss for words on this one and that doesn’t happen often
All I can say is that this book was truly amazing! It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
I think Freya out done herself with this one and I highly recommend this.
This is the first time I finally get to read this author. Having had this author on a tbr and seeing the name around for awhile this one could not be ignored. Once I read what it was about I had to dive in. Trunk and Jamie give a inside to their story that once you begin it, they are hard to put down. The magnetism is over the top and gives chills. This author also knows how to go deep and from the soul. Trunk is the kind of character you want to wrap up in. A dog with alot of bark but only bites the bad. Jamie is not a pushover either. She is one you would want in your corner. The kids also will have you in their corner. What comes their way you hold on tight until the end of this one.
Edge of Reason is the first title in the Arrows Edge MC series, but for those familiar with Freya Barker’s work many characters throughout will be familiar. We first met the Arrows Edge MC in Hwy 550 and the Rock Point series, and Trunk and Jaimie the hero and heroine of this title featured heavily in Tracking Tahlula. Several other characters from the On Call series also feature within this title.
Titus aka Trunk is a brooding, gruff, standoffish and somewhat abrupt character who’s outward facade hides a heart of gold. He’s a protective, kind, caring, patient, caring and compassionate alpha but is in no way a push over. He’s a bit of a contraditiction a stubborn, badass biker and a child psychologist.
Jaimie has been burned by men and is a tad cycnical when it comes to their motivations. She’s independent, sassy and a wonderful loving, kind and caring mother to her young son.
This story has a little bit of everything with romance, intrigue, suspense and mystery it’s sure to keep you completely enthralled.
I’m looking forward to seeing more of the Arrows Edge in 2020!
In this first book of a new MC series, we meet Trunk. Who is Jaimie? What series did we originally meet her in? What we learn in this book about her, continues from the other book. Where is the Arrow’s Edge MC located? Who is Ouray and what does he ask Trunk to do? Why is he named trunk? Who is Matt? Where was he ‘found’? I’m not sure I like Matt. Even if he is just a kid. We really get a better in-depth look at Trunk, aka Titus and see how his job affects him. What happens when Jaimie gets a package? What’s inside? How long does it take for Trunk to know? Will she tell Trunk about it? Watching the interplay between the two, what happened in the On-Call series, and just each of the characters is well written. It kept me on my toes laughing. It contained some heart-stopping moments for me, and some of pure joy and laughter. Some very interesting twists happened in this story!
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin’ With M. Brennan.
This book will make you stop and think. Aren’t those the best ones? We are re introduced to Trunk and what an intro. This one gave me all the feels and left me with a book hangover that had me questioning myself. Absolutely enjoyed!
Outstanding!
Bittersweet, passionate and emotional story that affirms that opposites do attract!
This smart, well paced story embarked on some sensitive subjects with grace and integrity.
Trunk and Jaimie’s story was truly a treat for the senses. This author always masterfully creates extraordinary characters out of ordinary folks. Trunk was a broody grouchy and uniquely fascinating. Jaimie is a strong independent starting new. Both have tons of baggage and odds stalked against them. When they meet they couldn’t be more different, yet sparks fly and how their story evolved made this read a must!
4.5 stars!
