He is a child psychologist who is working with the club of Arrows Edge She is his sister’s assistant who has come to start over he can’t stay away from her he gets beat up because of his skin color they fall in love good mystery to figure out sizzling romance wonderful happy ending
This was another captivating novel by Freya Barker who always manages to breathe fresh air into any genre/trope.
I hesitated to start this book when I saw it was about an MC club. I have a bit of a been-there-done-that attitude with such books but when I saw that Freya had put a spin on the concept, I was intrigued as to how she would handle the story she had planned. Needless to say, it was a refreshing change to have an MC in a book that was not all about unnecessary violence but instead used its might for the greater good.
Trunk (Titus) was definitely a larger than life character. A qualified psychologist, he uses his experience to work with children who have become societal outcasts. Despite his size and intimidating demeanour, he is gentle with those who mean something to him and this makes him immediately likeable despite his brusque manner.
Jaimie and her Son, River, were really enjoyable characters as well and River, to some extent, stole the show with his cute baby words and fascination with Trunk.
I must admit that I haven’t read Tracking Tahlula and didn’t find the story difficult to follow as a result but knowing there was a bit of a back story was slightly distracting. There’s always that slight niggle in the back of your mind suggesting the story would be even more complete if you had the whole picture and background.
The basis of the story was a pleasantly convoluted one which kept me riveted and keen to find out who was behind the attacks which Trunk, his club and Jaimie found themselves embroiled in.
Overall this was a really good story and one that I would happily recommend to readers looking for an easy-to-read romantic suspense.
LOVED this first book in the new series!!
Now, I know I pretty much say that about most books of Ms B’s that I read but the lady has a talent: she draws me in, makes her characters relatable (yeah, even when they are big, gruff, chip on their shoulder, bike riding blokes!!) Her stories have heart, emotion, action and suspense as well as a whole shed load of heat and sexiness.
Edge of Reason was no different in this regard. Characters that we had met previously, so knew a little of their back story/history – which helped move the book along a little and get to the heart of their connection.
Trunk and Jaimie’s story was loaded with goings on that started in the third book in the On Call series by Freya (which was Trunk’ sister’s story!) though you don’t have to have read that series to make sense of this book.
I’m looking forward to more in the Arrow’s Edge MC and the On Call series from Freya as we’ve got a few characters that we’ve met so far who I just know are gonna make for interesting reading!!!
*****
Wow, what a great start to a series. I couldn’t put down once started. I had to know what would happen next.
Freya Baker did amazing job with this book, playing with your emotions.
I loved Trunk and Jamie together, they may of took a while to see their feelings. But once they did you knew they would be great together.
Arrow’s Edge MC is going to be a great series, and I can’t wait for more.
Once again Freya Barker gives us an adult romance that’s pure pleasure.
Full of heart and soul and all the emotions we’ve come to love and expect from this author’s brand of romance. I’m not a fan of over the top angst in contemporary romances, and I’m truly delighted with each and every new release, when I get all the feels I love about reading romance, with none of the immature nonsense.
If you’ve never experienced romance from this author, why not start now?
I highly recommend all of her stories.
I love this new story from Freya Barker!! Jamie and Trunk were introduced in another book as well as “Arrow’s Edge MC”. This is a group of who have formed a legal MC for brotherhood and family. This story definitely sucks you and keeps you hooked until the very end. It’s well written and very nicely developed. I love the characters and the way their story evolved. This story has mystery, suspense and heartwarming with some good twists. I loved everything about this story.
Story line is great and I loved the characters. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Unexpected twists and turns had me reading this book in one sitting. Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read!

This book touches on a lot of subjects while addressing whether or not this couple should get together. It is a very well-rounded and written book that I cannot wait to read the next in the series. It is the first book in Arrow’s Edge MC with really great characters that are strong and very well-crafted.

Loved Trunk and Jaime. This book is a standalone but these characters have appeared in a previous book and I was waiting for their story and I wasn’t disappointed. Freya writes great characters and stories. Don’t miss out on this one.

Very well written, engaging and so enjoyable. Emotional, too.
There’s a lot to deal with here. Trunk and Jamie, they try to get over some difficulties in life.
She is single Mom, he became guardian of his little sister.
There is a lot of drama and suspense but the road to their HEA is especially beautiful. There’s lots of heavy drama and suspense. I can’t wait for the next one.

Ouray and Luna´s story (HWY 550) was one of my favorites, so I couldn´t wait to read more about the MC; Edge of reason has it all: adventure, strong characters, friendship, romance, sex, and new beginnings! It seams impossible, but Freya gets better with each new book!
Trunk has been a protector most of his life and he isn’t about to start now. But he might finally speak up about his feelings for Jaime after pining for her since she landed on their doorstep. She’s finally getting to a good place after the upheaval of her life after her husbands actions unraveled. Someone is out for the clubs ventures and trouble is stirring up. At the same time Jaime is in the midst of her own problems. The chemistry between these two has to battle with all of the turmoil in their lives. It causes these two to finally spend time together and to find out it’s more than just attraction. It’s a wonderful read filled with action and twist and turns this author is good for and a few of their friends.
Trunk and Jamie meet under dire circumstances during his sister Tallulah’s story, Finding Tallulah from the On Call series. Even though Jamie is immediately interested in at least being friends, Trunk stares through her like she’s invisible.
Once he kisses her Jamie is convinced she’d like to spend time getting to know him, except then Trunk disappears for three weeks. Then Trunk learns that Jamie’s bite might be worse than her bark, at least when she feels like he is waffling on her. Jamie melts pretty quickly when Trunk (Titus) comes around again, only then the rails come off at Trunk’s club, the businesses they own, and eventually at both Trunk and Jamies homes.
“Power, radicalism, and weapons. A deadly triad.”
What happens when you pit a motorcycle club, a biracial couple, and local and federal law enforcement against Jamie’s racist ex-husband and a white nationalist group?
Jamie and Trunk fighting their way together through a ton of dark twists and turns, suspense, and fast-paced action to the very end. An awesome new series with just the right amount of action and spicy sexy times with an ending that will surprise you.
Book one in a new series called Arrow’s Edge MC that is well written with a very good storyline the story flows smoothly from page to page. I want to read the next book. Trunk, Jaimie and her son River’s story, there is drama, suspense, danger, a very bad ex-husband, and romance. Once I started reading I was not putting this book down. Oh, how the mighty will fall – head over heels in love. I love reading about these big guys falling when they least expect and watching them fall on their a$$#$ is amazing. The romantic suspense story here was amazing and kept you wondering what was going to happen next. The love story between Trunk and Jaimie was spot on – I love all of his nicknames for her. I enjoy how Freya writes children into her stories because they are realistic and will pull at your heart.
I absolutely adored Trunk when he was introduced in his sister’s book Tracking Tahlula. His personality intrigued me and now we get his story. And his story blew me away.
This read was fantastic, extraordinary and any synonyms that means great. I resented the sleep I had to get because I had to put it down.
Gotta love his favorite word shee-it peppered throughout the story. He was great with the heroine’s baby and mom. And his compassion for children came through loud and clear. A beautiful love story.
This author certainly put her heart and soul in this book. This book tackles real world issues such as race and racism and she did it beautifully. From the characters to the storyline, this book hooked me and I inhaled this book from beginning to end. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this amazing author.
I loved this book. I loved the fact that the author writes stories about older adults in their late 30s and 40s. This was a great book showing the love between two people of different ethnic groups and how we can all work together. The sense of family is prevalent throughout the book whether it is actual family or the family you create from those around you. This story has it all drama, love, steamy scenes, family scenes, tragedy and togetherness with a HEA. No cliffhanger. Anxiously awaiting the next book in the series.

I loved the message in this book and it was great to see characters from Tracking Tahlula and see what they are up to. Awesome writing, drama, mystery, action and an adorable kid make this the awesome story everyone should be reading!!
