Brotherhood and beer meets single mom and apple pie.I am a riding contradiction. A scholar, a cynic, a brother, and a biker. My name is Trunk.I’m smart enough to recognize the chip on my shoulder, and cautious enough to keep it right where it is. I am a misguided romantic.A mom, a daughter, an agent, and a survivorMy name is Jaimie. I’m strong enough to look after my family alone, and too stubborn … enough to look after my family alone, and too stubborn to accept I don’t have to.
We make an odd couple—our differences obvious—but when hatred and danger threatens to destroy everything of value in our lives, we only get stronger.
Together.

Holy cow! This world that Freya Barker has created is amazing!! While this is the first of the Arrows Edge MC series, we have “met” the characters from the previous books that revolve around Durango, CO. TBH I would just read the previous books how they dropped, as, yes, they are different series, but they also sort of build on each other. We get to see so many key players from the previous stories, that it could be a bit confusing when just reading this before any thing else.
Trunk and Jaimie both have had some serious issues in the past. Trunk with how he was raised and Jaimie with all the crap her ex-husband has pulled. Both have their own reasons for not wanting to get into anything serious but the pull to each other is really undeniable. When Trunk decides that he is done playing and going to pursue Jaimie, it just so happens at the same time that the MC starts to have some trouble. The ride that takes place after Trunk makes his choice is non-stop action full of danger, violence, mystery, and a few hot naughty bits thrown in. I give this 5 stars.
5 star Review Edge of Reason (Arrow’s Edge MC #1) by Freya Barker
Freya Barker is a relatively new author to me. As with the other books I have read, this one was well written, with strong characters that you cannot help but become invested in and are easy to relate too.
Trunk (Titus) Rae has had a hard life but there is so much more to him than what is on the outside. He appears as tough as nails hard, and at times almost rude and abrupt. But underneath it all is a man who has been hurt, a man who truly cares and a man who will protect whenever he needs too.
I loved how once he finally admits to his attraction to Jaime he shows yet another side to his complicated personality. An unlikely hero, he was swoon worthy to me.
I loved how independent and sassy Jaime is, particularly prepared to call Trunk put on his behaviour.
This is a story that tackles serious issues and yet is heartwarming, it that will draw you in and keep you captivated from the first to the last chapter.
Trunk and Jamie’s story will touch your heart and have you cheering for them on their road to a happily ever after. They have a lot of hurdles to get through before they get there but the story and their journey is a refreshing one to read. Freya has a way of telling stories that have you feeling like you are right there with the characters. You can see and almost feel everything that they are experiencing.

Wow! I love her books, but this one is especially top notch. There’s a lot to deal with here. Trunk and Jamie face many hurdles. The road to their HEA is especially beautiful. There’s lots of heavy drama and suspense. So well written. I can’t wait for the next one.
Edge of Reason is book 1 in the Arrow’s Edge MC. Trunk is you typical broody alpha biker he is also a child psychologist . Jaimie is a single mother that has just come out of a bad relationship that she would rather forget unfortunately it will come back a cause problems for this pair. This book deals with some very touchy subjects but Freya Barker has done a fantastic job. I really enjoyed this book and looking forward to book 2.
After reading Tracking Tahlula and seeing the relationship between brother and sister, I was so happy to see Trunk get his own happily ever after. Trunk was such a fascinating character, here was this massive, broody, alpha biker that comes across rude at times, but to learn he is this healer of broken children just melted my heart.
Jaimie is another character we learn about in Tracking Tahlula, the turmoil she was going through was just so heartbreaking. But to see her strength was truly awe-inspiring.
I loved the progression of Trunk and Jaimie relationship, they did have a hard time with communication but when they both saw what they could be for each other, it was awesome! I absolutely adored the interactions between little River and Trunk, talk about swoony!
The difficult issues regarding racism and hatred that was portrayed was tough and the twists and turns that came about in their story totally took me by surprise. But overall, Edge of Reason was a great story and I can not wait for the next in this series!
We meet both Jaimie and Trunk in the ‘Tracking Tahlula’. You can read this one on its own BUT, Evan and Tahlula are amazing and you should really start with their story to get the full picture of this story.
Your choice though.
I won’t make fun you.
(Okay, I will!)
Anyways, this is a story about a white lady and a black male who begin as friends and then become much more. These two have a wonderful romance story that progressed naturally. Such a sweet couple! I love how Trunk is with River!
And all the other boys.
One in particular (besides River) who I was hoping they would adopt.
Wasn’t meant to be I guess.
You should definitely check this one out. I highly recommend it!
“You own me, Little Mama.” I couldn’t love this book more. Freya Barker is an immediate one-click author for me and Edge of Reason just slid it’s way into my number one fave!! I absolutely loved Trunk and Jaimie and the journey they went through to find their HEAs. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Trunk is Tahlula’s brother who joined the Arrow mc as their psychiatrist after being disillusioned with his job in Denver.. He has a chip on his shoulder as a result of his childhood and he knows this so helping the street kids that find themselves taken in by Arrow MC makes him feel like he is making a difference. Jamie is Tahlulas agent and single mum who has now moved to Durango with her mother to start anew after escaping the clutches of her white supremacist ex- husband who is now in prison .. Trunk had noticed Jamie and liked what he saw but it is only when detective Tony Ramirez tries to date her that he decides it is time to stake his claim ,this comes to the attention of the ANL as Trunk is black and Jamie is white and things start turning sinister for both of them and Arrow MC as it seems someone is out to destroy them as well. We meet old friends from previous books and they gel together seamlessly which Freya does so well I loved this book, one of my favourites as real situations are dealt with in Freya’s page turning style and a must for all of her fans
Holy. Wow. Freya Barker kicks up everything to level 10 with Edge of Reason. More romance, more suspense, more action, more heat more EVERYTHING! And for an author who already delivers some of the best of the best that more is absolutely mind blowing. I just cannot express how much this book moved me. We’re talking full on can’t stop reading, gasping out loud, sobbing my eyes out, happy sighing, amazingness here.
Everything about Jaimie and Trunk is incredible. Their hearts, their bravery, their strength. These are two absolutely amazing characters with a story that does more than just sweep you off your feet. Their story makes you pause and really stop to think and look at the world around you, and hopefully it also has an impact on some lives. Edge of Reason is truly a beautiful work of art.
I honestly think the MC series is my favorite….if not, it’s really close.
I completely love the whole Trunk and Jamie dynamic. I hate the bigoted views that this couple has to face, because let’s face it…it’s almost 2020 and we, as human beings should be so past this. Sadly, not all are.
I want more MC…..I want to know all their business…I want to know every single character that Freya creates. Every single one.
