“I was the FBI’s dirty little secret, until I wasn’t.”
I’m Brennan Collins, but my associates call me Belfast.
Perhaps you’ve heard of me?
I’ve been known to be everything from a gentleman gangster to a cold-blooded killer.
Men fear me and pledge their undying loyalty. Women desire me and the power I possess, but there’s only one worth my time… Georgia Cohn.
As tempting as Georgia may be, she’s the definition of off limits. We stand on opposing sides of the law, and I like my side just fine.
But when we’re forced to team up to save both our lives, we’re drawn together, complicating an already intense situation. All the reasons for resisting her no longer matter.
I take what I want, when I want it. And Georgia is mine.
She just doesn’t know it yet.
This is book 1 of a duet. Edge of Forever, book 2 will complete their story

The male lead, Belfast, is one of the most interesting male characters I’ve ever run across. From an awful upbringing in Ireland to a lifelong crime career he’s seen it all. His fascination with FBI agent, Georgia seems so unlikely. That fascination goes both ways and after what seems like a few days of someone attacking Belfast and Georgia they run away together.
The ending of this book is a bit of a cliffhanger but the second book will be released very soon. I’m looking forward to more of Belfast and Georgia’s story in book 2.
Holy crap! I need a minute to catch my breathe! This is fast paced from the beginning and this author does not take his foot off the pedal!
Trying to figure out who is the bad guy whilst trying to breath and get through those fire fights, took everything in me. I wasn’t expecting to have to multi-task so much!
This book is a fantastic read and I cannot wait for book two because….that ending?!!! Well played Mr Chance, well played!!
I never know what to expect from Jacob, he always surprises me and I look forward to all his words. These characters have been along time coming and I was so excited to read EoH and see how the characters would reveal themselves. I couldn’t have been more surprised and in awe of the adventure he takes you on and making me feel like I was watching the words unravel in front of me. I cannot wait to see whats to come. Great job Jacob and well worth the wait.
Edge of Honor by Jacob Chance is the first book in the On the Edge Duet. Belfast (Brennan) and Georgia were first introduced in Edge of Retribution, and I became a fan of these two characters. I was looking forward to reading their story in Edge of Honor, which is I was hooked immediately into the story. Jacob Chance does a fantastic job in writing an excellent romantic suspense story that kept me engaged. I felt the characters were well developed. I really liked the pacing of the story.
Edge of Honor has become my favorite book by Jacob Chance. Warning, the book ends in a cliffhanger, which drove me crazy. However, I am looking forward reading the next book in the duet. Kudos to Jacob Chance!
This romantic suspense is gripping, powerful and will have you on the edge of your seat. A story delivered with so much heart and soul that that I fell deeper in love with the characters and their epic story with each turn of the page. A beautiful, strong, and resilient heroine and a charismatic, fiercely protective and very determined hero. The chemistry is magnetic and undeniable. The banter is witty and full of humor. The storyline is brilliantly written with twists and turns that are a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I felt every emotion experienced – they radiated from the pages. I loved every second of this amazing story and can’t wait for the conclusion in Edge of Forever. Edge of Honor is one of my top reads of 2020. One book you want to read!!
I figured when Belfast story came out it would be suspenseful and I wasn’t wrong, lots of action, suspense and the romance between Belfast & Georgia is wow, just loved reading this book and the cliffhanger was fantastic, can not wait for Edge of Forever!!
I want to give a big THANK YOU to Jacob Chance for Edge Of Honor. I’m not a big fan of a man using the word Luv (in my opinion it sometimes comes off as mocking) to call a woman but when that word comes out of the lips of Belfast, he can scream or whisper that word all he wants.
Let’s just say Brennan Collins (Belfast) is not on the FBI’s most-wanted list because they want to throw him a party. The FBI need answers, it’s just too bad that he’s making it difficult to find him. Oh, my goodness! This man of many talents, quick with a gun, and should be given a medal when it comes to his sexiness (in the bedroom). I knew Belfast was going to be a gift, I just didn’t expect it to feel like Christmas. Chance gifts us with his words and he just keeps on giving, I’m soo ready for book two.
Georgia Cohn, the beautiful FBI agent who has held onto a secret crush since the first time she came face to face with Belfast over a year ago is now in the crossfires and on the run, with the man, everyone is looking for. Georgia is a smart and strong woman, smart enough to know when to give in to temptation especially when he’s standing right beside, in front, or right behind her.
Edge of Honor is a fast-paced read that is filled with action, suspense, witty-banter, sexual tension, and heated chemistry. THIS BOOK IS AMAZING! I highly recommend it.
5 Adrenaline Read Stars!
OMG this was a fantastic read. Jacob has a way to keep the suspense going – impressive. This is a suspenseful action packed romance with the perfect amount of steam. When I was told Belfast is the man of this series I did have my doubts but Jacob got his character well balanced. I love Georgia’s tough and sassy attitude. And since this ends with a cliffhanger I am so happy that book 3 is already sitting in my library. 100% recommendation.
Couldn’t put it down. Great characters that pulled you in and made you fall in love. I loved the twist and turns, keeping you guessing until the bitter end.
This is Belfast’s story. We met him in Book 1 of this “Edge” series, “Edge of Retribution”, where he saved the day when Nash was tied up by Martin and almost killed by Popov. In Book 2, approximately a year later, he is leaving his dispensary with Karyn Smith when she and other FBI agents are blown up as the result of a car bomb. Belfast is rushed to hospital where FBI agent Georgia Cohn appears and foils the attempt two guys are making to inject a needle into Belfast. He gets away, meanwhile injecting the substance into Georgia’s neck. Through a number of twists and turns and help from some unlikely folk, they are eventually thrown together and are involved in a number of gunfights. They escape, and so begins their adventure as they motor to a home Belfast owns on the shores of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, and they concern themselves with their future and if they can get away from their pursuers.
During two of the gunfight scenes they are involved in, they both make comments to themselves about being in love—he, when he sees her fall to the ground on her stomach and start shooting, and she, when he comments that the gunshots sound like someone is playing their song. They both know that romance between them is a no-no but their time together leads to love. Georgia realizes that she is willing to give up her future with the FBI to be with Belfast. He loves how his name, Brennan, sounds as it comes off her lips but he wants to wait till they are back in Boston before he confesses his love. Belfast, a sort-of-gangster and killer, and Georgia, an officer of the law—do they deserve to find happiness together? How could love flourish between a bad guy and a good girl?
This book, like all of Jacob Chance’s other’s, is beautifully written. He writes passages that are sweet and honest. He is the kind of author that makes you stop and think about what you have just read, and how it may pertain to your own personal life. He is clever in his choice of words to form that witty and teasing chitchat between his two main characters—on their drive to North Carolina; when they have breakfast in the waffle house; their time together on the beach and in the house. Lots of snappy sexual innuendo and some very passionate and seductive scenes—something we have learned to expect and appreciate from this author.
I once read one of his interviews where he said he hides personal things about himself. I look for those things and wonder how much of the real Jacob Chance is in his hero. Tattoos, a clothesline, dislike of sand covered floors, are just a few unknowns. I do know that he loves bacon and junk food just as Belfast does.
If you like to see how romance blossoms from beginning to end, if you like a bit of suspense woven through a story, if you like characters with emotion and passion, and mostly, if you like a book that will enchant and seduce you, then I suggest you read this book, and this series of three. I cannot praise this man’s writing enough. Another winner for Jacob Chance!
This story overflows with action and romance! Georgia is a force of nature and Belfast is the swoon-worthy hero. It’s packed full of sexual chemistry, engaging dialogue, and just enough suspense to keep you on “edge.” Edge of Honor is a page-turning delight of a read!
This action packed romantic suspense is off the charts amazing!! I knew Belfast and Georgia were going to blow my mind and sure enough, they exceeded my expectations. I was on the edge of my seat anticipating what was going to happen next and the angst combined with the dirty and hotter the hell sexy times really did me in!! Edge Of Honor is a real page turner that I devoured within a matter of hours. And the ending…just WOW!! It’s a definite must read!!
“Edge of Honor” is a hailstorm of emotions, with edge of your seat suspense, spine-chilling action and searing-passionate romance that keeps you turning pages until the heart-stopping cliffhanger. Character interaction is spot on, and vivid scene descriptions are jaw-dropping. Reading this story left me breathless, and I loved every minute.
Belfast is the irresistible antihero that will have you cheering for him with his witty banter and sultry ways. Georgia is the strong, feisty FBI agent that he desires since the day he met her a year ago. Their chemistry is on fire as they run to stay alive. This story pushes the boundaries of honor, loyalty, trust and true love.
Unforgettable, captivating, well-written read with credible characters and a fantastic storyline. There are tug your heartstring moments and moments that leave you smiling. Then there are the moments you crave answers for. I relished this read and look forward to the end of this thought-provoking story.
Wow! I’m used to the sports genre from Jacob! This surprised me! It was full of suspense and drama but still held that angst and sexiness. The characters were older and more mature. They both had so much history. I was in love with the tension!
FBI agent Georgia Cohn is in search of one of her own, one that has gone rogue. Killing almost all of her office, she is now determined to catch the man that is known as Belfast. When she actually gets to him and loses him, she is put under the microscope as she is now being looked at as if she is his accomplice. Georgia is going to catch her man, even if her feelings are a tiny bit involved. When she finally catches up to him, things take a turn for the worst… or better depending on how you look at it, she learns he is innocent, but now they both are being hunted. To keep safe they play the part of a couple, but somewhere along the way the playing part turned into a real thing. But they cannot forget that danger is following them, and that their lives are at stake. Will the real thing they are working on last?
So this was so for people that like the whole Jason Bourne thing. Suspense, danger, violence and then you add in the spicy bits, this was an entertaining read to the very last word. I knew going in this was a duet, so expect an abrupt ending. I give this 4 stars.
There aren’t many books that surprised me lately but this one is definitely going to my favourite books of the year shelf because it’s so much more than you can expect!
I loved every single page of it and I can’t wait to read the conclusion.
It’s so gripping that you can’t stop turning the pages fast enough to read more and more about Belfast and Georgia. If you know me a bit, then you know that I love suspense books and if you add a romance story to it I’m in heaven.
Can’t recommend it enough.
Wow. What a book. It kept me on my toes the whole story. Two people from opposite sides of the law. But find command ground to stay alive. A very strong FBI agent and a Iris Criminal. This book was sexy and hot but also heart breaking. I really enjoyed it. I so need more of these two.
EDGE OF HONOR (On the Edge Duet Book # 1) By Jacob Chance
What an awesome start to a most promising duet! What a great read Edge Of Honor is, I am anxiously awaiting the next installment! This is romantic suspense at its best, fast paced action, drama, intrigue, explosive hot chemistry, witty banter, characters that are so very well developed and oh that cliffhanger!!!
Brennan Belfast Collins, a wanted man and Georgia Cohn, and FBI agent met the previous year, (Edge of Retribution) and hadn’t seen each other since. They had a connection that they both ignored afterwards. When something happens that makes it seem like Belfast is guilty in the planning during a big cluster—- in which a city block is destroyed and several FBI agents are killed. Georgia is out to figure out the devastation. While she is out looking for him things go awry and they are forced to team up to try and stay alive. This is a 5 star read!
Absolutely, Phenomenal!
This was definitely one phenomenal, outstanding, suspenseful book! Jacob Chance writing style can be compared with the likes of David Baldacci, as Jacob has amazing wit and humor through out his book. This book is filled with non-stop action, suspense, and romance. This story does end on a cliffhanger, but I know that it will keep you coming back for more. I found myself immersed deep in the story and didn’t want it to end. Belfast and Georgie are amazing characters that come to life right off the page. I highly recommend this book, and look forward to reading it again, and again.
Waiting for Edge of Honour has been worth every minute. This is the perfect genre for Mr Chance. Without warning we were thrown right into the middle of a battle and there were always going to be casualties. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat after turning a few pages. I found myself laughing at the most inappropriate times even a life or death situation. I fell in love with both of these characters and am hoping against hope that they find their HEA.
Almost two years I’ve waited for this book only to be left with the mother of all cliffhangers. I’m now eagerly awaiting the duet conclusion Edge of Forever.
You’ll understand all the fuss once you’ve acquainted yourself with Belfast. He is an Irish bad boy, a criminal with a sexy smirk, a carefree attitude and seems to have more lives than a cat. Belfast manages to see things from a whole new perspective and definitely lives in the moment. He’s had his eyes on Georgia since last year, totally smitten but they can’t be together for obvious reasons.
Georgia is an FBI agent, she has been trying to get Belfast out of her head ever since he saved her life twelve months ago. Then when it’s least expected, who should be thrown back into her life? The person she’s trying to avoid of course. Somehow she finds herself walking a fine line and making brash decisions, but who can she trust, the agency or Belfast. Can she have them both in her life, an agent and a criminal?
