more
Edge of Eon is book one in the Eon Warriors series by Anna Hackett.
Eve was falsely imprisoned, now for her to get her freedom back and protect her sisters; who have been outspoken on her imprisonment, she must now sneak on board the Desteron, an Eon Warrior ship, and kidnap the War Commander Than-Eon. A piece of cake….
I was captivated from the beginning to the end. Edge of Eon is a great introduction to the Eon Warriors series. It introduces us to the Eon race who are like Earth people, but they are more. We also learn that the Eon race have not been finding mates among their race and that they can only be fertile with their mates, so they have turned to science to produce the best and brightest to ensure married couples and those that want children can have them.
We also meet the evil alien race, Kanos, who are bug like creatures that want to destroy Earth and not just Earth, but also the other races in the galaxy.
As for Eve and Than well their adventure is one fun ride. I loved how capable Eve is and that when shit goes wrong they both end up working together to survive. The sex is scorching and the action is non-stop. You get sucked in and can’t stop until the very last page.
Edge of Eon is one wild ride from beginning too end. I devoured this book and jumped into the next. Anna Hackett is a must read for any Science Fiction Romance fans. She has a way of pulling you into the world, characters, story, and romance.
Rated: 5 Stars
The first book in the Eon Warriors series. Love the characters and the world Anna Hacket creates. Her bad aliens are seriously scary!
Loved it!! Read in one sitting! I can’t wait for book 2! I think Shaggy was one of my favorite characters!
Love this book. Great start for the new series
Sub-Captain Eve Traynor is being blackmailed into kidnapping an Eon warrior. She knows its a suicide mission but she has to protect her sisters. War Commander Davion Thann-Eon is taking his first vacation in a long time. What he doesn’t expect is to be kidnapped by a Terran.
This book was just as good as I remembered. I loved Eve. She was dangerous, sassy, and fun. She knows that this is a suicide mission but she is determined to do whatever she can to protect what family she has left. I loved how she was constantly goading Dev. She really made him lighten up. Devion was an extremely controlled warrior who is determined to protect his race. I loved how supportive of Eve he was and that he let her fight her own battles.
“He was the best man she’d ever met. A man who met her move for move, who matched her, understood her. Respected her.”
Not only did I love the Eve and Dev, but the setting was also amazing. I loved the concept of this warrior race with a symbiont that protects it. We also learned that their race rarely finds true mates anymore so they have turned to science for procreation. I can’t wait to learn more about the Eon and the bug like enemies the Kantos. Also Hunter7 was a fascinating planet. It is probably one of the most fascinating planets I have ever read in a romance novel.
Overall, this was an amazing start for a new series and I can’t wait to reread the rest of it.
OK, personally, I love sci-fi movies, but never been a fan of sci-fi books (at least the very few I’ve tried). But a friend of mine recently got me hooked on Ms. Hackett’s Norcross series. Then I started on her Billionaire Heist series (still need to read Mav’s book). But then she announced in her Facebook reader group that the last book of her Eon Warrior series was coming soon and suggested a group re-read. So figured why not (Ok, it’s a first-time read for me.)
OH MY GOD! It was such a good story! I’m in love with Eve and Davion. This book sucked me in from the beginning. Eve blackmailed into doing a job for the Space Corps (one she is not a fan of doing). And in the very sexy Davion, a killer planet, a deadly bug race and Shaggy. Shaggy has to be my favorite side character. The chemistry between Eve and Davion is phenomenal. I love these two together. Now I’m very eager to read the rest, on to Eve’s sister (another one the Space Corps has blackmailed). Can’t wait to read her story!
There is so much action and danger in this book so if you like that mixed with your romance, look no further. I would read this book again, on to the next one in this series!
I loved this book. Off to check out the rest in the series.
Eve Traynor and Davion
Davion is the war commander of Eon Empire.
Eve is the sub Captain Space Corps on Terran.
Eve was railroaded into kidnapping Davion so she would be let out of prison and her family would not be harmed.
Eve kidnaps Davion, gets in to his spaceship and were attacked
And blasted out of space on to the planet Hunter7.
This planet is a training planet, with ever changing terrain to test
Eon Warriors for strength and endurance.
Davion and Eve realize they are mated.
This book is sci-fi, which is fairly new genre for me.
It was auctioned packed, a page turner and a great hero and heroine.
Anna Hackett you blew me away with this book.
Edge of Eon is the first book in the Eon Warriors series. Eve has the impossible task of kidnapping War Commander Davion and bringing him back to the humans so they can talk about saving Earth. But her mission quickly goes wrong when they crash on a planet intent on destroying them, with the bug-like Kantos hunting them. Will Eve and Davion be able to escape the planet and their enemies to explore the passion that’s building?
With any of Ms. Hackett’s books, you can expect action, romance, and a lot of amazing imagination, and this new series did not disappoint! Eve and Davion were exciting, I absolutely loved how they met, and their romance was both steamy and endearing! Neither member of this couple is soft, but both have a vulnerable side and moment. Eve was put in an impossible situation, but she’s such a fighter, rolls with the punches life throws her way, and I loved her passion and energy. I loved how she never wanted to leave Davion behind. Davion is known for being calm and collected in the face of danger, but when faced with Eve, I loved his reluctant admiration of her. They both fought for each other, fought against their chemistry at first, but I loved when they gave in to their desire for one another. There’s danger, an ever changing world, really gross bugs that want to devour everything, plus a romance that just won’t give up – this book has it all! I very much look forward to the next book (and sister) in this series!
I really enjoyed this and I’m excited for there to be many more. It was a great read and had me laughing. I felt like the story was awesome and alot of fun.
I am going to really like this new series. The training planet, Hunter 7, was great. The non stop action was a little over the top but I don’t care. It helped showcase Eve. I love Eve! I adore Shaggy! Yes, Davion is wonderful too. The enemy is evil, creepy and will be difficult to beat.
Sure fire super hit SF action romance
Anna Hackett scores again in the opener to her Eon Warriors Series. Badass hero Davion Thann-Eon and even more badass heroine Sub-Captain Eve Traynor turn this enemies-to-lovers kidnap romance into an action-packed, suspense-filled duel with the Kantos bad-guys, and the beginnings of a real inter-species cooperative effort to save Earth and the Eon Empire. Fine world-building, superbly realized aliens and alien tech, and well-portrayed characters make this an irresistible introduction to the world of the Eon Warriors.
As with all of Anna Hackett’s books, the momentum keeps the reader turning pages. I liked the hero and heroine, as well as the premise and world building. There wasn’t as much plot, however, once the two crash landed on Hunter 7. The majority of the book was the cycle of avoid the enemy and local wild life, get hurt, get treated, sex, rinse and repeat. And from the description of book #2 in the series, it appears to be the same, except with a different H/h. It’s a fun read, but not as good as the Gladiator series that always seemed to advance the plot with each book.
I discovered Mrs Anna Hacket’s work via her Galactic Gladiators series, but I have read since only one book from her other series.
So since this is one of her new ones, and I did not wanted to wait for the sequel from the gladiators stories, I decided to give it a go.
And I was hooked, she has a talent to create new universes, creatures, aliens and so and so.
This first story sets up the background of three aliens species fighting against each other, the Terrans, the Eons (similar to the earthlings as they share a common ancestor) and the Kantos ( an insect like specie).
As the Earth is more and more attached by the Kantos, sub-captain Eve Traynor is blackmailed to abduct an Eon War-Commander to force them to help the human kind.
Eve is what can be called a badass of a woman, only death can stop her, she fights and return blow for blow.
War-Commander Davion Thann-Eon is a man of honor, protecting and battling are his main purposes.
But his encounter with Eve will shift his balance, she will open him to a different vision of his future.
They are the perfect other half for another, together they feel whole.
It is full action packed story with sexy times and two strong characters who make things do with the dented and dangerous path unfolding under their steps.
Now on the second sister’s story!
Anna Hackett is THE standard for action-oriented science fiction romance. In Edge of Eon, Earth comes under attack by insectoid aliens. Eon, the only people strong enough to help, have refused to get involved. So Earth’s military blackmails an officer into kidnapping a Eon warrior to force him to assist. Everything goes according to plan, until they come under attack by the insects, crash land on an Eon military training planet, and then have to fight the elements, the insects, and their own attraction to survive. Awesome world building and cool characters. A fast-paced, action-oriented read with a lot of steam for good measure.
Really loved this scifi romance adventure and the hero and heroine were wonderful together. It’s a real page turner. Anna’s got another hit series on her hands!
For adult readers due to sexual content
You won’t get bored! There is so much action and adventure in this one you almost forget it’s a romance. We have hunky , movie star looking, warrior aliens who refuse to help Terrans or us Earthlings because of an old King’s ruling. An alien race that looks like giant bugs who want to invade Earth and decimate it. Then there is us the conniving human who will do anything, no matter how underhanded or insane it may sound to try to save our hides. This is such a great story and the world building for the warriors training planet is wonderful. I really liked all aspects of this book. RECOMMENDED
EDGE OF EON – Is more than a molten-hot romance. This new series packs a powerful punch. Once I started reading I couldn’t stop until the fantastic conclusion. My heart raced through all the action and I loved every minute of it. The story takes on a life of it’s own with powerful action scenes, horrific danger, life-threatening incidents, witty banter, gripping suspense, dynamic vivid scene descriptions, sensuous toe-curling romance and an awesome conclusion.
Earth’s survival depends on convincing the Eon’s to fight with them against the evil Kantos. The Kantos want to annihilate Earth and Eons. Eve Traynor a sub-Captain ends up in jail; no fault of her own. She must take a mission which could end in her death. Eve kidnaps Eon War Commander Davion Thann. The kidnapping goes off without a hitch. Unfortunately, the Kantos attack their shuttle. Their story has quite a few twists and bends; they also make a surprise friend on the dangerous planet Hunter 7.
ENTHRALLING & ROMANTIC! Eve is not only a beauty but she is powerful, and can hold her own in a fight. Davion is hot, deadly in a fight, and smitten. Together they are perfect. I do look forward to the next story in this electrifying series. I enjoyed this story so much, {Of my own volition without any stipulations, I reviewed a pre-released copy.} If you treasure sci-fi action romance, this is a terrific book for a library.
OOOOh a new space set romance for me love!
Earth (as usual) mucked up First Contact with the Eon and there has been an icy détente ever since. But an insectoid race called the Kantos (channel Starship Troopers baddies) are set on devouring everything in their path, including Earth.
Eve was set up to take the fall for her incompetent captain. But she has been given a get out of jail free card. All she has to do is get to Eon space, get aboard a warship and kidnap a fearsome Was Commander. Oh, and get back to Earth with him! Piece of cake!
She did not quite realise how musclebound, solid and all together handsome the War Commander was going to be. The poor guy didn’t stand much of a chance against a very determined female Earthling, he just wanted to take a long put off holiday!
But Davion and Eve now face further dangers – Hunter & is programmed to challenge a warrior. But how can you take on ever changing terrain, the Kantos and a stubborn headed female all at the same time?
I loved Davion and all his little saying. I keep thinking he sounds very Klingonish – By Stons Sword is one of his favourite sayings. Eve is strong, determined and very capable. Yes you have to disengage the logic in your brain to cope with proto-planets that can change every few hours, but this is SCI-FI! Therefore just strap in and enjoy the wild ride.
Oh and by the way – Shaggy tries to steal the show! Looking forward to seeing how a certain security officer deals with the thieving Space Marine!
