Book two in the series Arrow’s Edge MC . This is a pageturner ,a book that once you start you will not put down.
This series just gets better with each new book. Suspense, drama and danger.
Lissie and James/ Yuma are two damaged people coming together, beautiful characters with sizzling chemistry.
Also hot romance.
We get to read more about the rest of the MC family. Definitely recommended.

Another action packed in the spin off series by Freya Barker. This is the story of Yuma and Lizzie. Opposites whose paths cross during a murder investigation and give into the attraction. Stubborn and feisty the characters are fun to read and hard not to root for. I love this series. Each book is. A stand alone but interconnected.
I absolutely love this book. Freya has always been able to develop characters that are relatable to everyday life and she doesn’t dispppoint with Yuma and Lissie . They are both damaged and need redemption. They find it with each other and learn to overcome their past. Great characters and great adventure. I could not put the book down until I finished it. I cannot waot for the next book in the series. Thank you for a great book.

Who’d have thought that I was gonna like Yuma as much as I did…. coming in from what we knew of him from book 1 in the series he seemed like he was off the rails and gonna be a bit of a lost cause – then enters Ms Barker who makes you fall in love with the broken, hedonistic manwhore that we encountered in Edge of Reason.
Gods did I love his character…. so much so that I didn’t want his and Lissie’s book to end!
Damn, I need to backtrack…. We’ve met Lissie before and she came across as a bit of a rule following, tough nut to crack, but unbeknownst to us, that tough exterior hides a broken and lost soul. Lissie has family who consider that she isn’t gonna measure up to their expectations (we all know some like that I’m sure!) so she’s moved to Durango to live her life and work somewhere no-one knows her.
Yuma has been away, getting his head straight after everything that went down in the previous book and he’s back, trying to stay on track and get his life back together. He still manages to stuff things up a time or two but thankfully Lissie is a stronger person with a huge capacity for forgiveness and understanding.
There’s an definite off the bat attraction between this pair and we later find out that they have more in common than they realise to begin with.
As ever, Freya gave us older, maturer characters who, though they still had their own demons to fight, could see light and a future for themselves and gods, how I loved this pair together.
Character development and growth was excellent and I hope we see more of their future as the series continues.
We catch up with characters past, find out what’s going on in their lives, meet potential new couples and other figures who I’m hoping we’ll learn more about.
Family is such a strong theme throughout Freya Barker’s books – be that blood or the family that is put together through choice or circumstance and that theme was continued in Edge of Darkness.
If you haven’t yet checked out the Arrow’s Edge MC series you’re so missing out and I’d definitely recommend you start at the beginning to fully appreciate all that happens in this second book.
Yuma, a member of Arrows Edge MC and Lissie, a police officer, are complete opposites and have similarities in some things. Throw in a murder mystery and you’re set. This book is the second book in this series and I can’t wait to read more from this series.
This is book two in the Arrow’s Edge MC series. This is Yuma and Lissie’s story. In my opinion the two characters are so loaded down with their own baggage, I have no idea how they are going to make it as a couple. Plus the obvious of course, Yuma is a member of the Arrow’s Edge MC and Lissie is a cop. However, the amazing story that this author weaves for these two characters is absolutely perfect. I was so wrapped up in the words that I disappointingly reached the end before I was ready. That does not mean the story is unfinished, it means that i fell head over heels in love with Yuma and Lissie and was not ready to let them go. I highly recommend this series. Enjoy!

It doesn’t matter what Lissie does, it’s not good enough for her family, leading to her becoming an alcoholic. Sober for almost a year, Durango PD is her fresh start. Yuma is an alcoholic and professed manwhore trying to clean up his act so Momma will be proud of him. He’s a couple of months sober, and struggling. They couldn’t be more different. They also couldn’t be more perfect for each other. As always, I’m in complete awe of the job that this author has done with this book. Characters and events from prior books are meshed right in to this story, with all the details correct. I didn’t much care for Lissie when she first showed up in Absolving Blue. But all that changed as I got to know her and her past. Yuma – I first saw him in Trunk’s story, and he was just another stereotypical MC member. This book shows all the facets of him, both good and bad, and he’s a real person. His chemistry with Lissie is smoking and undeniable, and he finds the strength he needs in her. The action and suspense involving the murders, ANL and the other MC had me on the edge of my seat for a good while. I reached a point where I couldn’t quit, and stayed up a good part of one night finishing this book.

This is a must read! Just plan to read on day you can devote to reading because you won’t put it down. This is the second book in the series. Yuma really surprised me in this one. We got to know him a little in the previous book, but I wasn’t prepared how much he was going to win me over. Lissie and Yuma are great together. They both have common demon they slay. This book took me on a roller coaster of emotion. The emotion just pours of the pages. There parts in this book that break my heart, but then it’s put back together. Then I’m on the edge of my seat with what unfolds as Lissie’s case heats up. This book gives me everything I’m looking for in a book. It has the feels, humor, heat, and suspense. Well rounded book that’s going to suck you right in and you won’t want to come up for air until you’re done.
Book two in the series called Arrow’s Edge MC a book that once I started reading I was not putting down until I had finished reading. This series just gets better with each new book. This is Detective Lissie Bucco and James Wells/ Yuma there is suspense, drama, danger, villains, two damaged people coming together, we get to see more of the rest of the MC family, new children, and romance. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Loved it! Didn’t think you could write an even better book than the last, but I stand. Loved the characters and the story. Can’t wait for the next!
This is an emotional read about 2 people who have been through so much and are about to go through so much more, you get why Yuma thinks he should keep away from Lissie however you can’t fight attraction and it helps that Lissie has something really important in common with him but is it enough. It was great getting to know Lissie and learning of how she ended up in Durango as well as how Yuma has gotten on since his Mum was shot and now not only their personal but also professional lives are starting to mix together when bodies start turning up. There are plenty of laughs, however also heartbreak and tears along with action, comradery, twists and a blossoming relationship that you hope will make it through everything thrown at them.
WOW! This book is full of surprises that totally is intriguing and interesting. Yuma (James) is in Arrows Edge MC Club and trying to stay sober when Police Detective Lissie moves into the apartment complex that he oversees for the MC club. Lissie is also trying to stay sober all the while investigating missing murdered women one being her best friend. This is a dark romance loaded with suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Loved this wonderfully written story with some deep and damaged characters that find some light back into their lives.

Intense right from the start! This book is full of drama, mystery and serious suspense. I was drawn in and unable to put this book down.
Both Yuma and Lissie are great characters. They both have their demons but are doing their best to over come them and neither are looking for a relationship, but their chemistry is too hard to ignore.
When danger comes to the small town they both realize that it is okay to lean on someone else and to let down their walls.
A must read book for sure!

I love everything Freya writes and I could not put this book down!! Lissie and Yuma are such a special couple and deserve the best life they can get. They have overcome their demons and with the love they share, they are keeping them at bay together. Action, drama, mystery, heartache, loss, wonderful story line, funny banter and healing are just some of the greatness you get with this book. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Another great book from Freya. Drama, danger and determination all form an exciting read following two people who are overcoming personal issues and meet each other at what should be the wrong time but ends up being perfect. We also get another catch up with the Arrows and some of the cops and FBI from previous books as the are still working hard to take down the extremist group. Definitely a 4.5
He’s a mess.
Like, seriously messed up.
Yuma thinks he knows it all, has no impulse control and ends up bottoming out. Intentionally.
Lissie is a cop and is very controlled.
The opposite of Yuma.
Verdict?
Lissie great.
Yuma, a yawn and uninteresting.
Edge of Darkness is such a fantastic story. I thought it was well written, with just the right amount of drama, real life challenges, and suspense. Lissie and Yuma are my new favorite couple. Their chemistry is scorching hot! I like how it feels like I know them personally. I also look forward to seeing some insight of the past characters lives. Another hit from this author!
Well worth reading!
