Echoes of Blood and Glory (Daylight’s Crown Book 2) Kindle Edition
by Ripley Proserpina
I borrowed this book via Kindle Unlimited and am leaving a fair and honest review.
The climatic end to two unique vampire RH romances, Daylight’s Crown and Midnight’s Crown.
Closing Daylight’s Crown with the heart-stopping and soul warming completion, Echoes of Blood and Glory reminds us that being mortal and human is pretty darned cool.
Boston is once again under attack by Vampire Soldiers and Creepers. Rose and her men stand up to protect the city and by extension the world. But they are all changed. Rose is ready to run into battle and may be the secret to stopping the madness.
Keeping two different series with quite a number of books and a high number of characters takes talent and skill. Ripley Proserpina has that in spades. Readers are drawn into an alternative Boston filled with secret vampires and lethal heroes. This defines the unputdownable, “just another chapter” book. I literally didn’t want to put it down and when I was forced to, I was planning a way to sneak back into the book.
The passionate scenes and the love the characters all have for each other are devastatingly beautifully written. Their hope and hearts are so very real, even though they are immortals.
Rose is very different from Briar of the Midnight’s Crown series. But they are both heroines to enjoy.
The fight scenes were as well done as the love scenes, which is rare. The solution to all their problems came from just inside left field.
A sexy, scary read

As always this author knows how to entertain us and deliver a well written story that keeps the readers interest. Its what keeps us coming back for more for her stories.
I liked very much how Rose and her guys all come together and bond like how they are supposed to and become a true family. Enjoyed that we got to see Briar and her guys just one more time.
Ripley does an excellent job of closing out this series, and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next.
Rose and her guys are trying to figure out the Dr’s plans and how to stop him. This is the conclusion to Rose and her guys stories. What is the significance of Rose’s blood? What has the doctor been doing with it? I like how the guys are protective of her, but don’t try to hold her back when she can help. I love that at the end we get to see life from all their perspectives. I also like that we get a couple cameo’s from Briar and her guys. This was a great conclusion to Rose’s story 🙂
Ripley takes us back into her world around Boston to find Rose and her originals Ra, Horus and Seti regrouping after a near devastating loss. Dr. Stone who is not as bumbling as he portrayed is experimenting with the supernatural and everyone is in danger.
The guys character arc was amazing. They grew their humanity as they fell in love with Rose. There is so much to this book, I was really happy with the twists. The small cameos from the previous books was just perfect. I was happy to see all of the characters and get a check in. I was completely satisfied with the ending. Ripley delivered another wonderful story.
Intense and bittersweet conclusion!
This was the perfect conclusion to Rose’s story. We pick up right were we left Rose at the end of book 1. Rose continues to takes us on an adventure of intense emotions and one thrilling fight to rid the world of an evil doctor. Ra, Seti and Horus have grown more in love with Rose and are will to give up everything to be with Rose forever. But it is a fight to the bitter end.
This is an exciting, edge of your seat story with plenty of intense action, some tears and laughter. A wonderful love story with plenty of sizzle! A fantastic and amazing conclusion. I am sad that it’s over but I can’t wait for the next adventure to begin.
The prologue of this book gives us much incite as it details Horus, Seti, and Ra’s past.
Then we continue on with the our tale of Rose and her vampires. Horus isn’t healing as fast as he should and that has everyone worried.
Dr. Stone still wants Rose and is doing much to draw her out. It’s not easy since her vampires are protecting her and her friends have gone into hiding.
Now there’s so much more going on and since Rose can’t analyze her own blood, she decides to investigate the properties of it that she exhibits. What she learns is quite the turning point.
This is a page-turning read, with plenty of hold your breath action, tears and laughter. I love the relationship between Rose, Horus, Seti, and Ra, it’s quite the love story with plenty of sizzle!
Gah this book is so bittersweet. The book picks up we’re Rose left off, and we have healing Horus and trouble brewing. But Rose and the guys are up to the task. What I love is watching Ra,SETI, and Horus’ humanity show around Rose. I also loved getting glimpses of Briarand her guys. The way a Ripley writes about these characters, it’s hard not to love them. So to see the finish line is always heart wrenching. But of course this story does all 4 characters justice. I loved the twists and normalcy, just another great great book.
This is a very entertaining and enticing read. This is the second book in this series and you do need to read book one, Rose first. You can expect lots more tension, excitement, action, drama, danger and emotion as the story picks up and continues to unfold.
