Different scenario with with character plot. Enjoyed the story line with the witty, funny main character telling the story.
A fun book to read that holds your attention to the end.just when you think you have the answer another question comes up.
Eat, Pray, Die is not a Stephanie Plum caliber book, no matter what the blurb says.
Izzy works for a super secret agency as a food taster for the rich and famous. She tastes everything to be consumed by the client before they can eat or drink it. (Yeah, right).
I didn’t think it was all that funny as I had been led to believe. And when Izzy isn’t being poisoned, she is eating. She eats alot. And when not eating she is either trying to eat, wanting to eat or whining because she hasn’t eaten. I found her to be annoying and won’t be reading the rest of the books in the series.
If you don’t have anything else to read and want something you won’t have to think about, enjoy.
LIke potato chips. Bought them all.
Fun read and the whole concept was cute. If you’re looking for a good, funny, light but entertaining book, this is for you.
I liked this story because it made me laugh with the Australian main character. Sex was minimal – part of the story – and I was kept guessing until the end.
Kept my interest!
It is an interesting book but slow moving.
What a FUN book!
Great book! Fun to read, and I loved the characters!
Interesting premise and intriguing characters.
Enjoyed this very much. Good clean read.
I’m enjoying all in this series and have just pre-ordered the next one.. AND I think I now know that Aussies call ‘wooden furniture’, ‘timber furniture’
GREAT, fun read!
Very entertaining and action packed. Fun read.
An unusual occupation, fast-paced action and an unobtrusive romance. Thank goodness not much overt sex. Just a good read for a summer day. Quite enjoyable. I might be tempted to read the next one.
Imaginative subject matter made this
Book a good read
Great, unusual mystery plot that was a joy to read. The characters were well-drawn and appealing (even most of the “bad guys.” Etta was a hoot, loved her! I’ll watch for more from this author.
Enjoyable read. Original if unlikely underlying plot. Action-filled. Likeable heroine. Well-written.
I really enjoyed this book. I very much liked the premise of a food taster to the rich and famous (a modern-day take on a centuries old ‘career’). The main protagonist was engaging, funny and stood up for herself. she was a character I could really get behind and root for, even while laughing at some of her thoughts or actions. I am looking forward to following her further adventures–and, as a person who re-reads books–I will probably enjoy this , the first of this characters adventures, again. The mystery was very good and kept my attention all the way. I recommend this book heartily!
Funny & entertaining- kept my interest- good mystery
