Lucky Izzy is smart, adaptable, and never fantasizes about running home to curl up with her housemate’s cat.
Or so she’s trying to convince the client who could make or break her new career as an undercover poison taster. He’s competent, condescending, and annoyingly attractive, and Izzy doesn’t know whether to sleep with him or poison him herself.
Throw in a loan shark, a secret society, and a soon-to-be-dead girl, and Izzy will have her work cut out for her.

Fun characters, if you like Stephanie Plumb, you will like Izzy!
Lots of twists, interesting characters, and an intriguing premise. The writing was excellent and the characters came alive!
The premise of this series is unique and interesting. A fast, cozy mystery that makes you smile.
I read it several years ago and find it a little different.
Keep looking for another Stephanie Plum series, comes close, worth the time but not up to the bar of the Plum series.
I liked the story line once I was able to get past the absurdity of the genetically inclined poison testers
entertaining
I liked this book a lot. The writing of the characters in the book had me wanting to read more, to find out what was going to happen next. It was action packed, and had plenty of humor.
Fun new occupation, hmm taster for the stars
What a fun book! Unique job and environment, unique characters. Kind of believable reactions in.. most cases..to an unbelievable set of circumstances. I did laugh, out loud, more than once
Awesome!!!!
This book had it all.
A fun book on the order of Stephanie Plum.
Just a fun read that isn’t marred by an over abundance of clumsy sex scenes. Imaginative and humorous with a bit of snarkiness that keeps it real. Thumbs up!
It was a bit slow getting to know the characters, but really liked it enough to get the next in the series!!

Very satisfying read! I would like to read more books by this author.
Fun light reading.
Reminds me a little of Janet Evanovitch’s Stephanie Plum series — only better. Love the premise of the poison tester job!
This book is one I recommend every one reads.
