Nash Reynolds is the man of many dreams. Just not mine.
He checks off plenty of boxes. Wealthy, brilliant, hot, and with a southern drawl that makes my toes curl.
Oops. Not my toes.
I don’t need a man. I most definitely don’t need Nash Reynolds. He might’ve come along at a time when I could use a distraction, but the answer is still no.
My ex taught me plenty of lessons. The most important … lessons. The most important one: never count on any man to treat me right.
I’m smart woman, and I learn from my mistakes, so I’m not about to fall for Nash. Not his Southern charm, not his way-too-hot for my eyes good, not his touch … Just no.
Okay, maybe he does make my toes curl and make me wonder about things a girl shouldn’t be wondering about. Maybe he helps me out at a time when I really need it. Maybe, just maybe, he shows me he might be worth it.

JH Croix is a favorite of mine and so is Kristen Proby! So when she opened up the Boudreaux Series to other authors, I was ecstatic! This story was well written, steamy, sexy, swoony and a little bit suspenseful! Check it and all the other books out today!!
I really love J.H.s work. Every book is so good and this one was just that. It hooked me from the first page to the last. Great characters with hot chemistry and Nash is a total hottie.

Real Estate Mogul and The Journalist!
Oh my! Nash and Mari’s story is a healing dance of swoon and romance when the two meet under duress because of her very recent ex – Matt.
The feelings between them that should send them both running in opposite directions- seem to have the opposite effect!
Their story was a pleasant, engaging, fan my face surprise; I did not want to put down!
Easy This Time is the first book that I’ve read by JH Croix. I must admit that what initially drew me in was its connection to Kristen Proby’s Boudreaux series. But the writing and story are what kept me reading!
Mari is having a bad day. Or a series of really bad days. After her boyfriend takes her to Inn Boudreaux in New Orleans, he leaves her high and dry. That is, also after stiffing her with the bill, maxing out her credit cards, and stranded with no way to get home. Nash is the last person she knows that her now ex-boyfriend went to see, so she sets out to find out if he knows anything. Nash, in turn, wants to help Mari in any way he can, espcecially because their chemistry is so instant, and he wants the chance to get to know her.
I loved Nash! He was the epitome of what a sexy alpha is. I loved his protectiveness with Mari. And I loved Mari’s resiliency!
I will most definitely be on the lookout for more books by JH Croix!
I received this ARC from Bad Boy Update. I love how J.H.’s characters intertwine from series to series and this is no exception! Mari has had a string of useless boyfriends over the years and this one may be the worst. She wakes up in New Orleans with no boyfriend, maxed out credit cards and an empty bank account. She tracks down his last appointment and ends up in front of Nash. Nash knows her bother, and he can’t resist helping out a beautiful woman. What starts out as helping her clear her debt turns into so much more when Mari is followed. What’s not to love? A moody, growly, way too charming and sexy man who will protect Mari at any cost is just fabulous! Love the story!!
This is a true love romance read. Meri is stuck in new Orleans after her ex leaves her in the middle of the night, nash is a billionaire real estate guy and when meri comes to him will he help her and will a true love form?

I enjoyed this book. It was a thriller; trouble caused by Mari’s ex, Brett, running up all her credit cards, having her come to NOLA then getting her ticket home refunded to himself, along with the deposit on her new apartment. She’s stranded. But it gets scarier from here. Her brother in Alaska has money, but he’s so darn bossy! You will enjoy Nash, a real estate developer she meets, who turns out to be very helpful!
4.5 Stars
This is a Boudreaux Universe novel and it features Nash and Mari. Unforeseen circumstances left her high and dry in New Orleans, which is where she meets Nash. He is her knight in shining armor and boy, does she ever need one right now. She keeps trying to stress that she can take care of herself but she’s not understanding that Nash is only being the southern gentleman he was raised to be. She recently broke up with a loser of all losers. Can what she feels for Nash be real or just rebound feelings?
I’m done reading this book and I still can’t get Nash’s slow, sexy, “I have all the time in the world” walk out of my head. Yum! I fell in love with these two right away because their attraction felt natural and so real. It felt good to watch them fall in love.
Big fan of Easy This Time by JH Croix. …the book has a hot guy with a southern accent … who’s crush is turning into something more, a heroine with a ex boyfriend who has left her penniless … and with his bills to be paid, a meddling brother who’d like nothing more than to make Mari’s problems disappear.
This book is why Ms. Croix is such a terrific author. From the first chapter, I was drawn in. The storyline goes well beyond the typical romance. There is suspense, scenes that sizzle, and dialogue that is chock full of southern charm and romantic scenes. Characters are well developed and the book moves at just the right pace. I liked Mari, who wanted to stand on her own two feet without help from her brother and who is successful in her own rights. Nash .. sigh … was protecting Mari from her ex, managing her brother, all while wrestling with his crush turning into something more.
If you’re looking for a good book to help you escape, download this immediately! …but beware! you’ll want to curl up on the couch and escape into this book!
I received an ARC. This is my honest review.

Sweet & Steamy 4 ½ stars – The story has the right amount of sweet and steam. Nash’s character is very nice and gentlemanly. I am not too thrilled with Mari’s character but it will pull on your empathy. Brett’s character is abhorrent. The chemistry between Mari and Nash is subtle but powerful. I like how the author added elements of danger and how the HEA was executed. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]
I could not put this book down. From the first meeting of Mari and Nash to the very satisfying conclusion. Mari doesn’t know that she has found the perfect man for her until over and over Nash proves his faithfulness. I was also intrigued by the tie in to Kristin Proby’s Boudreaux Universe. I can always count on Ms. Croix to provide me with an entertaining story with interesting three dimensional characters. A must have addition for anyone’s collection.

A hot romance by the talented JH Croix! I loved the setting of New Orleans and the premise of the story was so interesting. Mari is in New Orleans with her boyfriend. Except when she wakes up, he and his things are gone, and his phone is disconnected. She soon finds out he’s maxed out her credit cards, taken out loans in her name and refunded her plane ticket so that she’s stuck in New Orleans.
Luckily, she goes to Nash hoping he might have some information on her boyfriend’s whereabouts and finds out he is the perfect charming Southern gentleman. He goes above and beyond to help Mari and falls in love with her in the process. I loved their HEA!
Mari is Max’s sister, from “Melt With You,” and I loved reconnecting with him and Harlow in Alaska.
I received an ARC from the author via Booksprout. This is my honest review.

I truly enjoyed reading Easy This Time by JH Croix part of the Boudreaux Series. Mari wakes up at a B&B with her boyfriend missing and then she searches for her boyfriend. Nash a friend of her brother helps her find answers about her boyfriend. Great drama and romance in New Orleans with twist and turns. I throughly enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend reading it. I received this book as an arc for an honest review of it.

Mari calls Brett’s cellphone and gets the message that it is no longer in service. Mari learns Brett didn’t pay for their room and wonders how she is going to pay when she has no money. Mari tries to hunt down Brett at his meeting with Nash Reynolds, a workaholic wealthy real estate mogul. When Mari shows up to Nash’s office, Nash informs Mari that he kicked Brett out and doesn’t know where he is. Nash is smitten with Mari and wants to help her since he knows and has worked with her brother, Max. Mari turns Nash down and decides to head home but at the airport, Mari learns that Brett has cashed in her return ticket for a refund leaving her with no way to get home. Mari and Nash bump into each other at the airport, and Nash offers her a place to stay while she decides what to do. Nash coordinates with Max in finding out what Brett has done or mixed up in. Nash tells Mari that Brett has maxed out her credit cards, taken loans and cards out in her name, and canceled her new lease and stolen the deposit to her new place in California. Will Mari and Nash give into their attraction to each other? Will Nash be able to protect Mari when they learn Brett is involved with shady people in New Orleans? Will Mari and Nash confess their feelings for each other? Will Mari find her happily ever after with Nash in New Orleans? I loved Easy This Time by J.H. Croix. Easy This Time is a great romance with amazing characters and a fantastic story line that will grab the reader from the very beginning. J.H. Croix is a must read author for this reader. I would highly recommend getting Easy This Time by J.H. Croix. I received an ARC of this book via Bad Boy Update, and I am leaving my honest review.
Oh man what an amazing read that has all the feels and little to no drama between the couple…loved it !!
Mari is stranded in New Orleans when her ex leaves her in the middle of the night, maxes out her credit cards, leaves her footing the bill for the Inn they were staying in and to top it of, gets a refund on her plane ticket so he could get the money. Luckily she met Nash, a man her ex was meeting while there and goes to Nash’s office to find the no good ex. Nash is instantly drawn to Mari, he knows her brother through business and offers her help with a place to stay and to track her ex down, especially when they figure out that he has gotten her involved in a dangerous gang and Nash vows to protect her no matter what…what happens when it’s all over.
Man oh man what a read with steam a bit of suspense and amazing characters that I couldn’t get enough of. I loved Nash, he was sweet, down to earth, patient and didn’t run away from his feelings. Mari was independent, too independent and too stubborn at times that I wanted to shake her but I did like the little to no drama with her and the ending in the airport.

Mari wakes up to find her boyfriend, now ex has disappeared without a trace and left her without a penny to her name. Mari goes to see Nash, Brett’s last contact in New Orleans before disappearing, but she does not expect the southern gentleman that she encounters. Nash knew Brett was bad right from the moment he talked to him and now that he knows he has wronged his friends’ sister he is determined to make him pay as well as show Mari just how romantic New Orleans can be and how a real gentleman treats a lady.
Easy This Time is a stand-alone southern contemporary romance. J.H. Croix does a great job of transporting you to New Orleans and showing off its true southern charm. Right from the beginning of the book, you feel for Mari and her horrible situation that her, now, ex-boyfriend puts her through and can not help but fall in love for the swoon-worthy southern gentleman that is Nash Reynolds. I now want to take a trip to New Orleans after reading this book.

Mari awoke to a very bad morning. Her boyfriend is gone, his phone disconnected, her money stolen and credit cards are maxed out. Brett planned a special getaway for her at the magical Inn Boudreaux, but this was not the kind of getaway she expected. With only an appointment Brett left on her iPhone to go by, she found her way to the office of Nash Reynolds, a wealthy real estate investor in New Orleans. Brett had, indeed, been to his office, but Nash immediately threw him out, sensing what a lowlife he was. As he listened to Mari’s predicament, Nash felt a sense of warmth throughout and the feeling that he needed to protect her. He knew he had to keep her safe, even when she put up a fight about accepting his help. What Mari really needs is to forget. He helps her forget everything for a little while. But, can he ever let her go? And Mari, will there come a time when she doesn’t need him? Trouble isn’t done with them and Nash is going to keep her safe, especially in the face of real danger. A steady pace, steamy plot and complex characters make this a wonderful story.
This is part of the Boudreaux Universe Novel Series. This was a great contemporary romance that was so much fun to read. Nash and Mari meet when she is abandoned by her boyfriend while on vacation in New Orleans. Not only did he leave her but cleaned out her bank accounts and cancelled her apartment. She was homeless, broke and had no clue where he was. Determined to put the puzzle pieces together, Marie visits Nash who was the last known person to see her boyfriend. Nash realized that Brett was a scam artist and threw him out of his office. He is taken by Mari and offers to help here. This is where the real story begins. Their chemistry is explosive and they are cute together. She’s stubborn and difficult at times. He’s rich, charming and sex on wheels. JH Croix is a master at weaving an amazing story and this is one of the best so far. I loved it. I read it as an arc via Bad Boy Update and voluntarily chose to review. Five stars for sure.
A really good romance with some mystery. The characters are wonderful and who can beat the setting of New Orleans. Mari is left high and dry by her boyfriend and she turns to Nash for some answers. He’s not used to caring about women but he knows Mari’s brother so he agrees to see her. It’s an instant attraction for him but Mari is very gun shy. A very interesting route to find out if they can actually connect or not. Good job Ms. Croix.
