Nash Reynolds is the man of many dreams. Just not mine.
He checks off plenty of boxes. Wealthy, brilliant, hot, and with a southern drawl that makes my toes curl.
Oops. Not my toes.
I don’t need a man. I most definitely don’t need Nash Reynolds. He might’ve come along at a time when I could use a distraction, but the answer is still no.
My ex taught me plenty of lessons. The most important … lessons. The most important one: never count on any man to treat me right.
I’m smart woman, and I learn from my mistakes, so I’m not about to fall for Nash. Not his Southern charm, not his way-too-hot for my eyes good, not his touch … Just no.
Okay, maybe he does make my toes curl and make me wonder about things a girl shouldn’t be wondering about. Maybe he helps me out at a time when I really need it. Maybe, just maybe, he shows me he might be worth it.

It is such a sweet read. I want someone like Nash in my life.
Real knight in shining armour kind of story. You also get a little taste of New Orleans.
Fantastic book to read curled up in your big comfy chair and yes, in one sitting.

Mari and Nash are great characters and I loved their story. This story has a touch of mystery, in what Brett is up to and why he treats Mari the way he does, and a lot of romance. Nash is just what Mari needs she doesn’t know how to accept help because she is strong willed and independent. Another great story by J.H. Croix
Nash has an instant attraction to Mari that he just cannot seem to ignore. When Nash finds out that Mari has some serious problems because of her ex-boyfriend he wants to help. He knows that she is in a tuff spot and will do what he can to protect her. Mari finds herself being swept off her feet even though she really does not want to be in another relationship. She knows she cannot handle her problems on her own so she turns to Nash for help. It seems that everytime they turn around they run into another issue that puts her in major jeopardy.
I loved how protective Nash was of Mari. These two were great characters and you will really enjoy reading their story.

Bad Decision
The characters are very realistic down to the bad decision they make in the name of being in a relationship. Nash is a force of nature with gentlemanly manners but knows how to play hardball when necessary.
The character of Mari can rub you one of two ways. This character was found to be irritating at times with her stubborn attitude and at other times you kinda felt sorry for her. When she is with Nash they bring the heat to scorching levels. It will make you envious.

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would! I loved Mari and Nash’s story from the first page to the last. J H Croix has a way of making each book better than the one before. While each one has a different setting and a different set of circumstances, the romance continues with just a touch of intrigue. Strong but not too domineering men and never too needy women manage to merge their lives in an awe-inspiring way. Not surprisingly, I absolutely loved this book!
