The Boudreaux Series: Sexy. Intriguing. Easy. Callie Mills never intended to return to New Orleans and the life she left behind more than a decade ago. There was no need to open old wounds when she had the life she’d worked hard for in Denver. But when she’s fired from her awesome job in Colorado and her father dies, she has no choice but to return home to run the derelict bar left to her in the … the heart of the French Quarter. Callie must not only face bad memories but turn The Odyssey into something she can be proud of. And who better to help bring in crowds of people than Declan Boudreaux? Declan is a sought-after musician who knows he’s good at what he does and loves doing it. Known to pack the house, he also loves women and doesn’t expect to be knocked back a step by the beautiful new owner of The Odyssey. Callie is sharp, gorgeous and funny, and makes him yearn for something he never has before¿ Commitment. But when Callie’s able to turn the business around with renovations, making it one of the hottest bars in the Quarter, will she sell out and leave her past behind once and for all, or will Declan be able to convince her that’s she’s where she needed to be all along¿in his arms.

Declan is one of my favorite Boudreaux men. I love his passion for music, which I think makes him a little softer (is that the word I’m looking for?) around the edges than his older brothers, Eli and Beau. I love how romantic he is (the hand-holding?!?). I love how strong and independent Callie is- not only with her taking on the ownership of the bar she inherited from her father, but in rehabbing houses, as well. All with her kick-a$$ personality!
I’m a fan of the Boudreaux family and this series!
**I’ve also listened to the audio- Sebastian York and Rachel Fuliginiti are, as usual, wonderful!
Derivative. Declan is a type A and a jerk. Way too many “I am so sorry” for my taste. Of course there is a sweet HEA, but getting there was way too much trouble for me.
This one is Declan and Callie’s story in this series. Declan is one of the Boudreaux brothers who is a musical prodigy and plays at the various clubs in New Orleans including Callie’s. Callie inherited her club from her father and has brought it back to life. These two have such a chemistry and zest for life. They really get each other and it was a pleasure watching them find their happy ever after!
I love the entire book I didn’t want it to end I like the entire family I want to know what happens to the rest of the ones that aren’t married
Another fantastic story in this series. This was a sweet, sensual, and enjoyable journey to go on with Callie and Declan. These two had undeniable chemistry, and are perfect together. I am absolutely in love with the Boudreaux family. I enjoyed every single moment of this book.
LOVED IT!!!!
Callie and Declan’s story is definitely worth the read and I thorougly enjoyed it!
Absolutely loving this new series of Kristen Proby and can’t wait to read the next one 🙂
4 Three Squeezes Stars. Fun, FuN, FUN! That’s the one word that comes to mind when I think of Easy Melody. You know you’re enjoying a series when you finish one book late at night and immediately start the next book, staying up an extra hour or so to settle into it. Then, you don’t realize that you forgot to write a review for the previous book on Goodreads until a couple days later because you’re involved in the next siblings’ saga. That’s what the Boudreaux clan does to me.
Easy Melody is all about Declan, Savannah’s twin, and Callie, the newest bar owner in town. Callie blew out of New Orleans as soon as she could at age 18 and never looked back. She’s back in town and has completely renovated the bar she inherited. It happens to be one of the bars that Declan regularly plays at. Declan isn’t looking for anything more than a good time. Callie isn’t looking for anything at all. Neither of their expectations is met.
This book is pure fun, entertaining, and sweet. The Boudreaux clan is easy to hang out with. Here’s to adjusting your sails……
This is book three of the Boudreaux series, but it can easily be read as a stand alone. Declan Boudreaux comes from a big, loving family. He is a singer/songwriter not wanting to be tied down to any one woman. Callie has just inherited a bar in New Orleans. She has no real family. She doesn’t know what it’s like to be really loved. Deep down she wants a family of her own. These two light up the sheets, but are afraid of what their relationship may bring in the future. Lots of miscommunication in this book that leads to a bit of angst for them. Lots of hot scenes (especially the piano scene). Love the family that Declan has. Readers of the With Me series by Kristen will be glad to visit with some of that crew in Seattle during this book. Dual point of view. This is an easy read with a great writing style. Kristen Proby is an author that I read a lot of books from. No cliffhanger, but the epilogue lets us know that Charly’s, Declan’s sister, story is next.
The series about 6 New Orleans siblings and their best friends finding love… is just captivating. This novella is a fun read.
Kristen Proby is one of my Favorite Authors! Her books are always fun and romantic.
