Amazing! So much adventure and a lot of history of Egyptian. I got swept away with the story that when it ended I was like no no can not. Surprises hit the Elemental’s at every turn giving you a great adventure as you take each step right along with them. Amazing Story now am anxious for the next book in the series.

Traps galore! This book picks up right where the first one stops, but from Pamin’s point of view instead of Ash’s. The group is on the run and Pamin is learning about her newly discovered power. Lots of action & adventure and, as with the first book, it ends abruptly right in the middle of an ‘Oh S**t’ moment. I look forward to seeing how things unfold in Air Guardian.

Earth Guardian is the second book in Kristin D. Van Rissehem’s Deities series. Where the first book focused on Ash, who is the fire guardian, the second tells the story of Pamin as he becomes the Earth Guardian. This book was fast-paced right from the get go, picking up where book one left off. In this second installment we find the gang traveling through Egypt while on the run from an army who wants to exploit their gifts, as they work their way through a maze of trials to discover how they are meant to come together to save the world. This book had a little bit of everything—action, twists, Egyptian lore, a growing bond between the characters, and even heartbreak—to keep me flipping through the pages to see what happens next.
I very much enjoyed the story and can’t wait to see what trials await the gang in the next book. Well done, Ms. Van Rissehem.

A loss of family; a gain of friends…In the second of the Guardian adventures, our group of runaway soldiers have been tracked to Egypt by the US Army. The army is intent on capturing or killing the runaways, to stop the youngsters from developing and using their powers. Due to an unfortunate fire, the group of 5 are joined by a young Egyptian who has the elemental power to control the earth, stone, ground, etc. Pamin’s knowledge and familiarity of the street and tunnels of Cairo eventually lead to the pyramids just minutes in front of the army. It seems that the four youths who form the Elementals hold the future of the climatic changes and thus, the world.
This is a great follow to the Flame Guardian, adding another of the Elementals to the group. I received an ARC of the book, but I leave the review because I have really enjoyed the series so far. Now, I wonder if the Air Guardian is next. I can’t wait!!

I adore Kristin D. Van Risseghem’s writing and loved Flame Guardian, the first in her Deities Series (separately reviewed). Now she’s back with Earth Guardian (Deities Series, Book 2), and this more than proves that a Book 1 was no fluke. Pamin Gabra, who discovers she’s the Earth Guarduan, is as perfectly crafted as Ashley Warfield, the Earth Guardian of Book 1. I love complex characters with neat book story who evolve as a story develops. You’ve definitely got this to perfection here. Earth Guardian was a totally fun book. Well written, with a great plot, a perfect cast from Pamin on down and perfect world-building. Definitely recommended.

A fantasic addition to the series it grabbed me from the first page to the last. Fast paced and action packed, adventure. If you like reads that the Author brings a wonderful read to fruition as well as epic scenes, as I read I can picture the scenes so well its like the characters just pop right off the page. This is definitely a must read.

Earth Guardian really delivers. Ridge is the newest guardian to the bunch, but hes facing a lot of personal demons regarding losing his family and leaving home behind. Hes now an orphan but hes met Ash and Torrent, who are part of the youth meant to save the world. This book dives heavier into the lore surrounding their mysterious powers. Dr Mara leads them through a hidden labyrinth, along with Smoke and Tage, as the 6 try to solve the Rite and figure out how to save Earth. Still missing the Air Guardian, things take a turn for the worst. Not everyone will be going home, and those that do wont ever be the same.
I loved the plot of this book. The different dangers they faced, with the different ways to solve each trial, and the Egyptian lore in the mix. Very well done! I look forward to what comes next, even if my heart does hurt from that ending!

A very quick yet highly entertaining look into Seventeen year old Brooklyn Bryer before all the world ending and crazy adventure… before she is forced to attend a new and scary school. Was a interesting reading experience and nice to learn more about her.

A quick read!
Meet Brooklyn Bryer…
Your average seventeen-year-old…
Except she’s not and far from it…
I have read the first two books in this series before this prequel released so honestly what was the point of this novel? The first few chapters are explaining all about her clothes, her room, her expensive lifestyle. Seriously? That’s it. This was explained in the first book, heck even in the second book, her lifestyle etc kept coming up. Everything was already known from the first two books and I honestly it would be more in depth but it was not.
I liked getting a glimpse of the MC’s life pre-academy. The only interesting and exciting tid bit was the school tour – this is where we see her first crush on one of her men. Loved it!
Full of magic, wards, dragons, dragon slayers and a hint of romance.
Perfect for readers of urban fantasy/paranormal reverse harem romances.

This is a good follow up to book one. Pamin has joined Ash, Tor and the others while on the run from the soldiers. They end up near the great pyramids and Pamin feels pulled to one of them. Pamin decides he would rather be called Ridge as he becomes more in touch with his earth power. They make their way towards a maze where they expect to find the Rites for each element. Things sure don’t go like they expect. Total shocker in there, and I was so hoping it would change! Very interested to see what happens next and when they will find their missing Air guardian.
