Damien Archer, Earl of Grayson and Lady Charlotte Lawson are opposite in every way. Where his coloring is dark, she has blond tresses and blue eyes. Charlotte’s alabaster skin tone is a stark contrast to Damien’s sun-kissed tan. He is tall at six feet three inches while she is short at barely over five feet tall. Furthermore, her cheerful disposition is in stark contrast to his brooding nature. … nature. But most bothersome of all is his tendency to flaunt society’s rules while she follows them without fail.
Damien desires nothing more than to spend his time carousing, drinking, and gambling while Charlotte spends hers at afternoon teas, balls, and musicals. She is a true lady and he a determined rake. When their paths cross they have every reason to turn in the opposite direction, and yet they cannot seem to avoid one another. Passions flare, putting them both at risk. They stand not only to lose their reputations, but more importantly, their hearts.

I liked this story. Sometimes it felt rushed but that is because a lot happend in the very short story. It also lacks depth because of this. I would have liked it to be longer. The characters are likeable and well described. I like the passion and chemistry. A mix of a bit drama, love, betrayal, violent childhood and twists.
The book is a good storyline that is captivating. The characters are intriguing, enticing, and well developed. I did like reading this book.
this is a fun read about oppsites attracting in regency London, I really enjoyed this book and all the different ways the author found to make them different from one another and yet give them a really great HEA>

I enjoyed this very short story with great characters, romance and intrigue. She had loved him 12 years ago as a debutante, but he had told her he would never , and walked away. She came to him and asked hi to teach her how to seduce a husband. He got multiple men to court her, but found fault with them all. The ending was great.
A short story of 88 pages it is Damien Archer, Earl of Grayson and Lady Charlotte Lawson’s story and I found myself smiling with this book. A horse in the attic!! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I bought it.

Damien a dye in the wool member of the Wicked Earl’s Club has meant his match in Charlotte. From declaring he will never marry to losing all control when he sees Charlotte and Jostling in the park, till the very end this book Damien was a grand character. This story was a charming read and I loved every minute of it. As in the other books of Ms. Mariel’s I have read this one was hard to put down and a great addition to my collection. I am so looking forward to reading the other books I have of hers. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Damien Archer, the Earl of Greyson was secretly meeting with Lady Charlotte Lawson 11 years ago when she declares her love for him and he tells her he will never marry. Because he broke her heart she rebuffed potential suitors for years and is now known as the unattainable debutante. She asks him to give her lessons on how overcome this and to attract someone to marry. He helps her and doesn’t think much of it until she ties herself to man like his father, who beats women and animals. He tries to dissuade Charlotte against this match only for her to ignore him. Will he prevent her from making what could be a fatal mistake and realize in time that he is not his father and is worthy of her? Damien was a jerk for leading her on 11 years ago, but Charlotte was unreasonable not listening to Damien and his friends about her cruel suitor.
They are completer opposites in every way. She shows up to where he lives wanting to know how to seduce a man to get him to offer marriage. They are drawn to each other and it could lead to trouble. Even though it is short I really like this series. It is exciting, hot, funny, suspenseful and so much more. I recommend it. I was given a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.
A typical, pleasant Regency romance
3 stars overall, 3 stars writing, 4 stars narration
This short, 2-hr Regency romance has a sexy male narrator who does a pretty good job. His accent sounds Welsh to me, and his voice is hot. He is pretty good at female voices as well as male voices. I would like the get more from the narrator, Mathias Holt. He is not the best narrator ever, but he has a soothing and delicious quality to his voice.
I was a little disappointed in the writing. I am okay with the plot that has definitely been done before. However, nothing else elevated the story above mediocre. The characters, dialogue, and prose did not lift the story above the average Regency romance. I got a bit bored in the middle, and I got a little annoyed with the main characters. Thankfully, the story has a really nice, romantic, satisfying ending. I would say the story is lightly steamy, with a brief bedroom scene that is passionate and well written.
I received a free audiobook copy from the author, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.
The Earl of Grayson, Damein, was enamored of Lady Charlotte. The Earl became concerned he would end up like his father, beating his wife. Does he? Read this fabulous tale and find out. Violence and sexual content.
I have loved all these books, some have been very short novellas, others have been longer…but this one just didn’t hit the mark for me…there was for me no connection between Damien and Charlotte, maybe their prequel story would make them more a couple that I cared about??? Damien was just blahhh, he didn’t feel like a rogue, or wicked at all, just an immature jerk, possessive and childish…and Charlotte started out appearing as a strong woman, who ends up a wishy washy doormat who loses her spunk.
There was just no oomph, for me, no chemistry, no romance, just, help me, I will, he’s wrong for you….oh yeah I guess I still love you, be mine.
Yeah, no.
And normally the typos don’t bother me, but when I have to sit and try to figure out what the author meant….for instance “you cannot expect gentlemen to apron you when you do nothing” still not sure of that one…
The potential for a great story is there, there were moments, flashes where you could see what it could be, but unfortunately it just didn’t quite get there.

Damien Archer, Earl of Grayson and Lady Charlotte Lawson are opposites & they courted a decade ago but he had no intention of marrying so they parted. Now she’s asking him to teach her the ways to seduce a man as she wishes to marry, he agrees to help only to find he finds fault with everyone who shows an interest in her.
A delightful short story & I mean short. I so wish it had been longer & then Damien & Charlottes’ characters could have been given more depth. Whilst the story was engaging & held my interest I no sooner settle to read when I was finished. There were lots of unanswered questions, which if they had been answered would have given the story more depth & length, how on earth did a horse get into the attic, did Charlotte’s fiancé just give her up with no word? So I was left wanting more
To Seduce A Man
Eleven years ago Lady Charlotte Lawson gave her heart to the Earl of Grayson. Damien turned away and broke her heart. Now she needs his help to learn how to seduce a man. She’s finally given up on Damien, or has she? Damien arranges for the ton to know she’s in the market for a husband, but he ends up driving all her suitors away. Finally, when he’s about to lose her to someone else, he comes to his senses, but is it too late? Once again one of the members of The Wicked Earl’s Club has met his match. A short, but entertaining read.
