He’s too dangerous and she’s too haunted… Earl of Exmouth knows what type of woman he wants. A nice Scottish lass that will heal the wounds in his family. It’s what they deserve after what he’s done. And if he doesn’t love his bride then, hopefully, he can keep her away from the real darkness in his heart. Marriage is like every other part of his life…a duty to be met, a penance to be paid.
The problem? A dark haired, sharp tongued, devil of an English debutante won’t leave him be. What’s a man to do but kiss her quiet? Turns out, that’s only the beginning of his troubles.

Call me a romantic; the more I read there, the more I believe I should have stayed in the 19th century.
ended buying the whole series. nice easy read to lose my stress in
A fun, entertaining read. My one complaint is that it’s difficult to keep up with which of the Chases are sisters and which are cousins – I feel like they haven’t remained consistent throughout the books, but I could be mistaken.
I received a free copy in exchange for my honest review.
Wow I want to be exiled with this Earl!! Lord Callum Exmouth had made a promise to watch over Lady Diana Chase and it was a decision he regretted. “Every time he looked at Diana, his breath froze in his chest like a bloody schoolboy with his first crush.” He’d met her when she and her sisters had enter the gaming hell, The Den of Sins, he and his friend’s owned, which had put the ladies reputation and the secret club in jeopardy.
Now as he met up with her at the ball, she was with his friend Darlington and his wife Minnie. Oh yes these two were attracted but they tried to with hold it, but one kiss changed all that. But he had to remember, he had been betrothed when he was young, to someone he had never even met.
But there is a villian at large, one Lady Abernath, who is seeking vengeance against Lord Darling and is a threat to all of the Chase sisters.
I loved these two! Diana was aptly named and was a strong woman and determined to protect her family. Callum was a braw Scotsman and he loved her strong spirit! Their journey is an intriguing one so don’t miss it! Sigh….
This is book three in the Lord’s of Scandal Series by a great author. The story of Lady Diana Chase and Lord Callum, the Earl of Exmouth (Exile).
Lady Diana is a strong, intelligent woman who doesn’t need an interfering man to protect her. She did just fine escaping a kidnapping on her own. She’s drawn to Callum, but after being betrayed by a suitor she trusted, she doesn’t believe she has the right to happiness.
Callum has his own issues. He’s running from responsibilities in Scotland. He’s engaged to a woman he hasn’t even met and he doesn’t know how to tell Diana whom he’s really starting to care for. He doesn’t think he has the right to a loving relationship since he blames himself for his cousin’s death which left him being the Earl.
This story has it all. A kidnapping, secrets, revenge, humor, suspense, and of course love.
I received an advanced copy of this book as a gift and this is my voluntary, honest review.
His Earldom and his forced betrothal came at a horrible price, but now, the Earl of Exmouth has found the woman he knows is right for both his head and his heart and she isn’t the perfect Scottish lass, she’s a spitfire of an Englishwoman with a sharp mind and tongue.
Lady Diana Chase is determined to avoid marriage at all costs. She has a secret and it will be kept. But the huge Scotsman has her heart all aflutter…
EARL OF EXILE by Tammy Andresen is just one more fabulous romance about rakes and the women with the strength to make them topple like dominoes. Fun, flirty, a little dangerous and as always, a most wonderful escape into another era that can be lived in one sitting!
Ms. Andresen knows how to build a world, give life to her characters and make it completely entertaining in the process!
I received a complimentary ARC edition from Tammy Andresen! This is my honest and voluntary review.
The Earl of Exile is the thirdd book in the Lords of Scandal series. This series is based on six noblemen who have opened the Den of Sin, a gaming hell but have tried to keep their identity secret. When one of them becomes engaged to one of the Chase females and the women descend into their Den, they decide they need to make sure the women don’t talk. They each pick one of the women, determined to stick close to them and ensure that they don’t disclose their identity. When Lady Abernath threatens the women in order to have revenge against one of the gentlemen, the men’s protectiveness kicks in.
The Earl of Exmouth “Exile” feels guilty for the death of his cousin and never wanted the title. His guilt has made him commit to honoring his cousin’s betrothal to a woman he has never meet. He isn’t interested in marrying her and has been able to avoid it by staying in England instead of going home to Scotland, but he is able to keep the estates afloat by being one of the owners of the Den. He is agreed to guard Lady Diana Chase, but his emotions become tangled. His guilt tells him he needs to honor his cousin, but his heart tells him Diana is the woman for him.
Diana is determined to keep her single sister and cousin safe. She wants to help the men find Lady Abernath and end the trouble she has caused. She had a bad experience with her previous suitor and won’t make that mistake again. She doesn’t think she will ever find a husband who would appreciate her for who she is. Then Exile comes along and she is interested but hurt when he says he won’t marry her. Should she risk her heart again?
This has been such an exciting, intriguing series. There are two single men left in the club and another that joined in this book so hopefully we have at least three more in the series! I’ve never been disappointed in a book by this author and I can’t wait to see what comes next!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
Earl of Exile: Regency Romance (Lords of Scandal Book 3)
Tammy Andresen has gathered the most wonderful group of characters in this series. We have our Scandalous Lords and our strong willed ladies who continue to thwart the unhinged plans of their now common enemy.
The Earl of Exile otherwise known as Lord Callum Exmouth has inherited the title from a cousin that he dearly loved. Callum feels responsible for his cousins death so he is fighting those feelings daily. Lady Diana Chase is his “assigned lady to protect”.
Lady Diana is not afraid of much and has a way of being quite direct when talking to anyone, but most especially men. She’s really doesn’t think she needs Lord Exile to keep her safe. She also doesn’t want him to learn her secret.
With both Exile and Diana holding deep secrets inside that they know would make their lives and that of their families difficult, they have both come up with ways to keep themselves guarded. Their secrets instead of distancing themselves from each other seem to bring them together.
Andresen is working her way through the Lords who are all co-owners of the Den of Sin, who eventually are finding love and wives as they continue to unravel the past some of them share. This story introduces us to the Earl of Sinclair, who I have a feeling will play a role in future stores. I very much enjoyed reading about our headstrong Scottish Lord and his equally head strong Lady.
I was given an ARC advanced reader copy of this book to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The Earl of Exmouth still feels guilt over his cousin Ewan’s death & has even agreed to marry Ewan’s fiancée. However first he needs to protect Lady Diana Chase from the machinations of Lady Abernath. Lady Diana Chase has no intention of marrying any man, especially not the large Scot with a deep brogue and penchant for meddling in her business. .
I’m loving this series of which this is the third book, it could be read on its own however to fully appreciate it I’d highly recommend reading the series in order. Lovely characters, a fast paced story & I couldn’t put it down & read it in two sittings. I loved both Callum & Diana who whilst clashing at every meeting also couldn’t deny their attraction. They both have guilty secrets, which threaten to derail their burgeoning romance, then Sin arrives & there’s nothing like a bit of jealous rivalry for Callum to have his eyes opened. A captivating read that felt much shorter than it actually was as the pages flew over
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
I am so loving this series. Earl of Exile by Tammy Andresen is book 3 in the Lords of Scandal series and what a great series this is turning out to be. What I like most about Tammy’s writing is that it very simple to read and at the same time detailed. I never get the characters mixed up or lose track of the storyline. The Earl of Exile has the most delightful characters and lets face it ladies, who doesn’t love 5 hunky gentleman who have a little bit of bad boy in them. This story has an arranged marriage, an independent heroine, a kidnapping, a father’s love, understanding, guilt, revenge, secrets, good friends, great banter, a scheme using the heroine as bait, duty and of course love. I highly recommend you read this book and the rest of this series.
***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.
With Lady Abernath still at large Cullum, Earl of Exmouth, known at Exile to his friends, has his hands full keeping Lady Diana in check. She is strong, intelligent and resourceful, everything he needs in a woman, but she is not his to keep. Exile has a duty that he is obligated to carry out, but as Diana’s life is put on the line, he will do everything in his power to keep her safe. Exile is a wonderful hero, taciturn and gruff but with a heart as big as the British Isles. Diana may well be a Regency miss, but she is nevertheless well able to protect herself, that is until she realises that she needs help. Putting her trust in Exile is a difficult decision as she has been hurt before, but he proves himself over and over again. This novel is well written with plenty of action and romance to touch the heart. It is also part of a series with characters that appear in the other books but is nevertheless a standalone. It is, however, helpful if one reads them in chronological order. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
This Lords of Scandal Series just keeps getting better with every one that Tammy Andresen writes & it is only Book 3!
Lord Callum Exmouth, Earl of Exmouth or as his friends called him “Exile” spends all of his time in England rather than his earldom in the Highlands. He had inherited the title of earl 5 years ago, after his cousin was killed – oh, he also was forced to accept his cousin’s betrothed whom he still has never seen. He knows he is bound to the betrothal by honor but the beautiful, outspoken English debutante has him at sixes & sevens.
Lady Diana Chase has had it with the interfering, handsome Scot who keeps sticking his nose in her business. She doesn’t plan on marrying & does not need Lord Exmouth to protect her as she can take care of herself. But then again when he spoke to her in his deep Scottish brogue & then kissed her; was it a bad thing or a perfectly delightful experience? Maybe it would need to happen again so she could be of her answer.
Callum & Diana have a lot of obstacles & dangerous situations to overcome but what a fun & entertaining trip it was! I highly recommend this book & the previous in the series – Tammy Andresen creates characters that are real & stories that are exciting & believable.
I was gifted the Advanced Reader Copy of this book & all opinions are my own & have been voluntarily given.
Earl Of Exile is a wonderful historical romance by Tammy Andresen. Ms. Andresen has provided readers with a well-written book populated with fantastic characters. Exile, Lord Callum Exmouth, lives his life trying to be as good a man as the cousin he blames himself for getting killed. Diana and her female relatives are under the protection of Exile and his friends. Callum and Diana’s story is packed with drama, humor, sexy bits, action and suspense. I enjoyed every page of this book and look forward to my next book by Tammy Andresen. Earl of Exile is book 3 of the Lords of Scandal Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Blurb :
Exiled from his family… can she give his heart a new home?
The Earl of Exmouth knows what type of woman he wants. A nice Scottish lass that will heal the wounds in his family. In fact, his aunt has already chosen his Scot bride. The problem? A dark haired, sharp tongued, devil of an English debutante won’t leave him be. What’s a man to do but kiss her quiet? Turns out, that’s only the beginning of his troubles.
Lady Diana Chase has no intention of marrying any man, especially not the large Scot with a deep brogue and penchant for meddling in her business. And when he steps too far and puts his lips on hers…well that’s perfectly dreadful. Or perfectly wonderful…she hasn’t decided yet. Perhaps Diana will need another kiss to decide…
My review :
When a woman convinced she has lost her right to happiness meets a man persuaded he has no right to it …
From the moment this series was announced, I preordered all the books, I was sure Mrs Tammy Andresen would not disappoint me with her tales of broken heroes and strong heroines.
Because here, it is the women that rescue the men, they save them from a future of loneliness, not always with strength and dagger but with their trust and caring.
Still here, Diana is well named and like the illustrious amazon, she takes no prisoner.
Sure, she made a mistake and misjudged a man with a golden tongue who lead her to believe his false words but she is still a very opinionated woman and one who does not cower even when danger looms over her.
Callum left his life in Scotland behind when he found himself by accident an Earl, he never wanted the title and feels he does not deserve it. Still he provides for his tenants and even if he is not ready to return and accomplish his duty, he knows he has no interest in lurking after Diana, but this woman makes his blood boil.
I loved Diana, she is far from perfect but she accepts her errors and goes with them even if she is harsh with herself but society was equally hard on women, they were still wearing the mantle of Eve. Plus she needs no one to rescue herself, she does not loose her head in the heat of the moment, she fights with her own weapons.
While I liked Callum, I was angry at him for hiding his situation and in some way playing the coward by shying away and never meeting his bride-to-be.
He is lucky Diana is very forgiving for keeping everything secret and never sharing he was supposedly betrothed.
I loved the playful bickering between the different lords. Now, I wonder if Lord Sinclair will have his own story?
4.5 stars for this fun and entertaining read.
I was granted an advance copy by the author and prior to it I preordered my own. Here is my true and unbiased opinion.
