Cain’s in love with his best friend’s brother. That’s just one of his secrets. He feels like he’s keeping them from everyone. Nick doesn’t know he’s got feelings for him. Probably. His family and friends don’t know he makes porn. Definitely. And his fellow porn stars don’t know he’s a geek. Yet. Nick’s got his own secret. A kinky one that really doesn’t mesh with a career in law. He guards it … it closely and has no intention of revealing it to anyone. Especially not to his little brother’s best friend, no matter how much misplaced hero worship he might throw his way.
An eye-opening party causes a rift between the two men making an upcoming family wedding decidedly awkward. Cain giving up might just coincide with Nick realizing he’s not quite as immune to Cain’s charms as he thought. Can they ever be on the same page? And even if they were Cain would run a mile if he found out what Nick’s hiding. Wouldn’t he?
Maybe both men have a surprise coming.

I was lucky enough to read an ARC of this terrific book. I loved Cain and Nick, who sometimes frustrated me as much as they did each other. These two were sexy and unsure in the best of ways, and their road to happiness was only as bumpy as they made it. I laughed several times as I read, and I smiled a lot. This was a terrific entry in the EagerBoyz series, and I am already looking forward to the next installment.
4.5 stars Gahh a great mix of sexiness, eagerness, and adorableness (yah it’s not a word but it looks awesome)
Cain adores Nick, his best friend’s older brother, from when he was fourteen.
Nick only sees him as his brother’s best friend, nothing more. He knows Cain follows him like a puppy with hearts in his eyes. But he’s still little Cain for him. Until everything changes.
Nick doesn’t do relationships well, he has some particular preferences and those didn’t do well with the guys he met.
Cain has a secret hot af job and can’t find a way to tell Theo his best friend. Until Nick finds out.
Cain tries to get over Nick after all these years, he understands it will never be.
Nick can’t get Cain out of his head. He doesn’t handle it well.
Oh dear, this was a delicious story, hot af, with just the right mix of misunderstandings, hot encounters, comfort, awkwardness, and love.
Strong, fast-paced and entertainingly written story. Delightful characters, endearing at times, witty, angry and jealous. One with deep-rooted feelings and the other head over heels.
I loved this one!
Nick, you saucy, dirty kinkster! Who would of guessed that you, the uptight lawyer, were hiding such naughty, delicious secrets in your drawers? Certainly not Cain! Although, Cain did hide something big of his own…
And when these two men discover each other’s secrets? Talk about scorching passion! Admittedly, I was not a fan of Nick on more than one occasion, and if I were in Cain’s shoes I’d of literally kicked his backside to the curb, or at least made him stew for a bit longer… Nick WAS pretty good at groveling, though, and I definitely understood why Cain couldn’t resist him.
Reading their story was a lot of fun, and incredibly sweet to see Cain and Nick finally find what they always dreamed of with each other. Also, I absolutely adored Bailey and Theo. I think Bailey is next in the series, but I hope Theo will have his own book, too.
3.5 rounded up
I have not read the other books in this series, and I had no problem enjoying this story. The characters are fairly well developed, and the storyline flows nicely.
Cain grew up gaming with his best friend Theo, and following Theo’s older brother, Nick, around like a lovesick pup. Ten years later and the crush is still at the forefront of Cain’s mind, even though Theo tells him it won’t happen, and he very rarely sees Nick. But, when he does, he’s still “squirt,” letting him know he’s still seen as Nick’s little brother’s best friend. But, no one knows what Cain has been doing to earn extra money, and at least for the time being, he plans to keep it that way.
Nick is a top notch attorney, but his insecurities have kept him alone for a while. Only his outgoing socialite friend, Bailey, knows his deepest secret; well, him and the two ex boyfriends he trusted enough to expose his truth to, only for it to be too much for each of them. When Bailey drags Nick to an anniversary party for an adult film company, he never expected that the one man who caught his eye would turn out to be Cain.
I have to admit, I wanted to give Nick a piece of my mind multiple times throughout this book. So did Cain, right up until he came face to face with Nick’s most hidden desire…then things ignited. Unfortunately, Nick has a way of overthinking, overanalyzing, and doubting himself into the doghouse. Cain was very forgiving, but he retained some of his stubborn ways as well.
Once they both figure out what they want from the relationship, they have to face reality. Amusingly, against Cain’s wishes, Nick has kept the fact that they’ve been seeing each other quiet; that is, until they finally get their act together… Somewhere besides one of their places. Overall, even though it was frustrating, getting to see Nick feel better about himself made the story okay by me.
Happy reading!
* I received an ARC of this book and I am leaving my honest review. *
this book, this series has been so entertaining so far. the laughs at some of the situations have been so funny. This one is porn star in love with best friends older brother. Well let’s just say when said brother finds out about the porn….well lol
Eager for More is the second standalone in the author’s EagerBoyz series which is built around a gay porn company. Though it took me a bit out of my comfort zone with its manties kink, I would call it low on the kink scale because it didn’t overshadow the romance storyline. Overall, I found this best friend’s brother romance to be a fun read with loads of heat.
I quite liked the angle of Cain growing up lusting after Nick. It fueled tension and sparks right from the start and made the speed of their relationship and feelings feel more plausible. I also enjoyed how well these two fit, specifically in the areas each man was overly self-conscious of. There were definitely bobbles, many due to miscommunication or lack of communication, but they didn’t prove as frustrating as those scenarios often can be. Instead, I found this to be an easy, enjoyable read that offered up a good dose of heat, great characters, and some teasers of stories/ characters I can’t wait to read more about.
Eager for More is an easy to read addition to Ms Day’s EagerBoyz series.
This is a fast paced, funny, entertaining story. It’s well written book with enough conflicts, mis-communication and hotness to keep you turning the pages.
So, if you looking for an easy to read series, I highly recommend Eager for You and Eager for More .
No spoilers of any kind included.
I thought Eager For More was pretty dang awesome and that’s all I’m going to say about it.
H.L. Day is a very talented story weaver because I am definitely going to be a reading more of her work in the future.
So if you are looking for my advice about this book well my advice would be get it because I can honestly guarantee you will love it.
