OMG!! This book. I have been obsessed with this story since the first book. But WOW! Dying for Rain really was amazing. Wes and Rain will absolutely take you for a ride in this book. I was on the edge of my seat.
I was lucky enough to have read an early copy of this. I was so anxious to read it after I finished Fighting for Rain and it did not disappoint.
We are left with a big cliffhanger at the end of Fighting for Rain and you will continue to be in a constant state of nerves while reading this up until the very end. I loved it! This will definitely land on one of my favorite reads of 2020. ABSOLUTELY a must read!!! But you most definitely have to read the first two in this trilogy I promise it is worth it! I have said it before and I will say it again by far my favorite of everything B.B. Easton has written! Netflix, we have another one for you!!!
Satisfying conclusion…
The cliffhanger in the second book of this series left me craving this one! Wes and Rain had gone through some much. Had gathered interesting characters, family, as they all struggled to survive in the new order. Startling revelations about the world’s circumstances were chilling and brought new dangers to everyone. With life hanging in the balance, this story would see them triumph or finally give in to the inevitable…
This story had it all! Survival was everything but emotion, true love, sacrifice – they were front and center as Rain and Wes took on everyone and everything to be together. Betrayal wasn’t the only surprise in a series that had twists and turns galore. The writing style had me lost in a world that, frighteningly, didn’t seem far-fetched. At all.
If you haven’t picked up The Rain Trilogy yet you are in for a treat! Start at the beginning and be prepared for love to be tested over and over again…

I was Dying waiting for Dying for Rain y’all! That Cliffy at the end of Fighting for Rain left me an emotional basket case. I was a hot mess express. I have been so in love with Rain and Wes since Praying for Rain. I mean what does one do when harboring such book heartbreak and worry?!
Luckily I didn’t have to wait too long because BB Easton was a total gem to us all and quickly released Dying for Rain only two weeks after book two! Yes!! Adulting and regular life can commence my friends. Well, after you read Dying for Rain, that is!
Dying for Rain picks up right where Fighting for Rain left us. That epic heart-stopping cliffy. Wes and Rain find themselves once again torn apart, this time not by Wes or his insecurities or Rain wanting a way out, but forces beyond their control. Leaving both Rain and Wes devastated and heartbroken.
“He doesn’t kiss me like our time is running out. He kisses me like it’s already up.”
Wes accepted his fate. While he wasn’t exactly happy about it he’s content that it is what it is. We see such a difference in Wes’ character in the way he responded to the events that occurred after he had to leave Rain. His love for Rain never waivers, down to the last moment he works to take care of her, to set her up to be able to care for herself. He reflected on his life. Looked to a future he wouldn’t get to have. Wes had grown so much and found his place where he fit in this world, just to have it all taken from him. How he responds is just a testament to the awesome character he was. The character development BB Easton gave us GAH, she did such an amazingly fabulous job!!
He bonds with others like him in the same situation, his heart hurts for them. Where before Wes would’ve never really took the time to get to know others. The character growth in Wes was unbelievable and beautiful even with the tragedy surrounding everything going on.
My heart was breaking the whole book, prayerfully hoping this injustice would not happen. It just could not happen!!
“ I was never meant to get the girl. To have the happily ever after. That’s not how my world works, and this sh*t right here is proof.”
Rain’s bada**ery grew with each book I swear. I couldn’t love her anymore than I do by the end. This book though y’all! We see her take all the strength Wes equipped her with, even more and she sets out on a quest of her own. She decided she’s not just going to accept a fate someone else decided. Forget that noise!! Equipped with an inner strength she never expected, she finds herself able to do things she never thought she had in her. She will fight for her life, for the future she deserves. For those she loves most in the world. She joins forces with people you would never expect and sets out on a shocking mission, one she will either fulfill or die trying. She won’t let anything or anyone get in her way!
“Do I sacrifice one life to save the others? Or sacrifice the others to save the one?”
My emotions were put through the ringer with this book. This entire series actually. I poor my heart and mind have run the gamut. I have laughed, cried, swooned, cheered, stressed, worried, begged and pleaded. I have also been tempted to throw my kindle and checked to see if it melted in super hot moments. This has everything you could ever want. Start this fantastic series today.
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book!
Cr8zysockbookblock’s blog overall wrap up!
– BOOKHANGOVER ALERT!! I couldn’t possibly only give this book five stars, that would be an injustice. I almost can’t find enough world to tell you how great this book, this series is. JUST READ IT!!
– Okay so because of the situations in this book, you don’t get the amount of sex like the other books. But I’m still keeping a super hot, hot , hot rating because just thinking about Rain and Wes makes me think of all the times in all the other books and that’s like nuclear bomb type hot!!
Cliffhanger Warning- lots of worry and tears, but I think you will be happy with the end!! ( no spoilers cause they suck)
Once again B.B. Easton has left me unable to word. I don’t even know where to begin with all the emotions that are swirling through me after finishing Dying For Rain. I am completely overwhelmed by how this book made me feel. I was devastated, I raged, I cried, I cheered, I felt like my heart would burst out of my chest with how fast it was racing while I read the final installment of Wes and Rain’s story. I think I flew through the pages even faster with this one than I did with the previous two, and that’s saying something since I couldn’t put those down for a second either.
I think what truly makes these books get so far into your head is that even in the wreckage of a dystopian world they’re incredibly true to life. All these things could possibly happen. There’s no virus, no magic, no alien invasion that brought on the terror of April 23rd. Just the ugly truth of what humans are capable of. Between that and the fact I’m a Georgia girl myself this trilogy really dug deep for me.
Not knowing who you can trust, people who you’ve known your entire life turning in you in the most savage of ways, strangers becoming saviors. It all just grabs you and gives you quite the mind f#$&. But within all that darkness there’s the love between Wes and Rain that feeds you so much hope. Hope for survival, hope for change, hope for them to have a future they deserve. This entire trilogy has been one incredible journey and Dying For Rain is the epic conclusion that will feed your soul.
This is heart-pounding. If you haven’t read the first two books in this trilogy, this is the perfect time to do so and you will binge all three books. I found myself holding my breath at times; maybe the entire book. Rain comes into her own and the tests they are put through in this final book, had me on the edge the whole time. I don’t know how my heart didn’t explode from my chest. This is such a different world but it also gives you an idea as to what can actually happen because it’s also so real. I couldn’t put this down.
***5 “A fuckin’ chaos!!!” stars***
“All I wanted to do was stay numb and die.
All Wes wanted was someone to help him survive.
But somehow, together, we figured out how to live.”
God, i needed this book so badly, especially after how the things were left in the previous book!!!
B.B. Easton knows how to make you lose your mind and craving for her every word…
I literally devoured this book and the ride even though full of bumps and obstacles was amazing and adventurous!!!!
“Wes presses his lips to the top of my head as my lungs finally run out of air, and it breaks me all the way.
Because I know this kiss.
I know all of his kisses. Wes is trying to comfort me.
But who’s going to comfort him?”
Wes and Rain are such wonderful characters…
They are Fighters with a big F and they are proving themselves in here over and over again…
In the previous two books, Wes was fighting all the time for this girl that unexpectendly tumble into his life and she had become the world to him…
Now, he had decided that he is gonna sacrificed for her to live.
But what kind of life that will be for Rain without him in it???
“I was never meant to get the girl.
To have the happily ever after.
That’s not how my world works, and this shit right here is proof.”
And here comes Rain’s turn to fight for Wes!!!!
Rain, for once again, is all alone in a house that used to be hers, but she had come to realize that her real home is Wes…
She just have to do something… Anything, but unfortunately there are things that keeping her away from him…
Thank God that Wes had forged her into a survivor and she is about to put these skills on action…
“What’s the point of escaping when you have nowhere to go?
This used to be my home.
Then, Wes became my home.
And now… I’m just homeless.”
God, this book was a constant race to the finish line and my heart was bumbing really hard all the time cause i needed something good in the end… ‘Cause unfortunately, the things weren’t seem really good for anyone in here, especially for Wes…
These two deserved something like happiness… But all this shitty storm, it became something so much more than just the two of them…
“He doesn’t kiss me like our time is running out.
He kisses me like it’s already up.”
Well, honestly, i don’t know what else i can share with you about this story…
I just want to say that this was a damn really good story… Different from the normal romance readings and that was the reason that made it so charming…
Rain and Wes are such an amazing characters and they got through too many shits in their lives…
Also, in here, we saw new characters… Some good, some bad…
But we also saw old characters… People that surprised me in good but also in very bad ways…
This series was a beautiful unexpected surprise for me and i wish for you, someday to meet Wes and Rain and to enter inside their world!!!
“That’s the thing after April 23. When you fall in love at the end of the world, you live every day like it’s your last.”
***I received an advance copy of this bookin exchange of an honest review. Thank you!***
Finally, the wait is over! I have to say I was really excited to get back to Wes, Rain, and their crazy apocalyptic world.
Just like every story in this trilogy, Rain’s emotions grab ahold of the first page and take me along for the ride. I love how Rain has developed throughout this series. She has went from a pill popping depressed girl trying to escape her terrible past to a survivor who will do anything to protect the people she loves in this crazy new society she now lives in. Wes is still her strength but it is now easy to see that Rain has her own set of survival skills. This new version of Rain is one tough chick!
This is the final story in The Rain Trilogy and I’m sad that my journey into this unique apocalyptic world is over. Ms. Easton has made me fall madly in love with these characters and I’ll miss Wes and Rain immensely.
This book was incredible it was probably the most complete ending to a trilogy I have ever read. I was so sad that this was the final book. BB is such an amazing writer I was completely enthralled by the story it was SO good that I didn’t want to finish it. The characters come to life and the Jones brothers I completely adore. I laughed so hard in parts and others it made me cry … I may have exclaimed “No!” While at the office and gotten some looks but whatever, gave me an excuse to tell them to read this trilogy. All three books are so hard to put down. I will never be able to properly write a review that would do justice and to continue on would make me go into spoilers and the last thing I wanna do is spoil this for anybody I want people to grab up all three books and devour them and love them as much as I do.
„Doing everything we can to help each other survive isn’t what made us weak; it’s what made us human.”
The conclusion to the Rain Trilogy is nothing less than EPIC! Dear heavens, I’m just delighted with what I‘ve read. BB Easton wrote a spectacular ending for this amazing series. Dying for Rain kept me in suspense from start to finish and it didn’t let me look away even for a second. Rain and Wes found a permanent place in my heart. Their determination to survive the chaos and the unique love they share are the main reasons why I will ALWAYS remember about them and their experiences. That’s exactly what Easton wrote – an UNFORGETTABLE story.
I’m enchanted by the journey both Wes and Rain have been through. They both matured emotionally and gained strength. They became brave, fierce and headstrong. But most importantly, their need to survive has evolved into a desire to live. That was the most beautiful thing to witness.
But in addition to the phenomenal love story, BB boldly and intelligently shows how society is being manipulated and how easy it can be to create mayhem that has fatal consequences. The dystopic vision of the world that the author presented in this series should give us something to think about, because this vision is tragic. We need to make the world a better place. We need to support each other. We need to fight injustice.
This book is action-packed and filled to the brim with ALL THE FEELS. BB masterfully presented the chaotic world in which the storyline is placed, but also she miraculously transferred every emotion experienced by the main characters. While I was reading this book I felt like an eyewitness, who took part in everything that was going on. And Wes and Rain… I can’t express how much I love these two. The ending that BB Easton gave them was worth every tear and mini heart-attack I felt while reading this series.
Now I feel like I’d have my very own April 23rd tomorrow… BECAUSE HOW TF AM I SUPPOSED TO LIVE NOW? Nevermind, Easton made sure that I’ll go with my heart full and with a smile on my face.
***4 Stars***
Talk about getting your blood pumping.
After the way Fighting for Rain ended so many various scenarios ran through my mind as to just how things would end up for Rain, Wes, their friends and even their enemies and I have to I was taken on one hell of a ride!
Wes and Rain. From the start I was intrigued by both of them. I liked them even when they frustrated me, and I came to love them when everything was said and done. They stumble at times, and who wouldn’t when faced with that kind of chaos? But they became more than they ever knew they could be.
This trilogy was one crazy ride from start to finish and I have to say, for my first read by the author, I enjoyed it all. The writing was engaging, the pacing good and all of the characters were very well written. The concept, while not necessarily new, was well thought out and executed and I’ll admit a little scary because it could happen…one day.

I knew it! I freaking knew it!
I don’t think I’ve ever been so mad at someone’s mama in my life! Mrs. Renshaw made me wanna beat her with a broom, doing what she did! And the rest of that family is nuts too. That’s all I’m saying on the subject.
Next.
Rain & Wes are just freaking perfection. The lengths they’re willing to go to for one another, their complete refusal to give up on the other makes for, not only a riveting story, but a refreshing swoon in the midst of this whole heartbreak.
I am completely thrilled with the conclusion for this trilogy, and I see a reread in my very near future!
I survived… barely, wow this series couldn’t have a better finale. So many factors, a lot of drama, action and unpredictable twists. I enjoyed this ride so much, it is totally an epic end to a trilogy you need to read. Be ready to take the ride of the year in this thrilling dystopian world. It was totally worth the wait between the books. BB Easton outdid herself and I am rooting for wherever she wants to take me next.
One of the best things about this series is that the author pulls you into a world that while is an amazing figment of her imagination, it could be our future. The craziness that is the plot hit me hard with the possibility that sometimes we don’t have control over our own lives when people with power come out to play.
This book was just as fast paced as the first two and full of surprises. It was a straight up page turner as I raced to see what happens to everyone stuck in this horrible new world. Loved the ending after how everything played out.
Wow!!! Seriously Awesome
A nerve wracking story set in nervous and anxious times, BB takes us on a thrilling ride on her pillion seat. Not only is the story relevant in present times, it gives us a peek into a crystal ball to show us all the dreadful probabilities, warning us of the impending doom, if we don’t change soon. Captivating like a train wreck, mesmerizing like imploding building and enthralling like a nuclear explosion
BB spreads the story and winds it up PERFECTLY
I fell in love with Wes and Rain in book 1, when their tender love had to run a gauntlet of emotions and exploding universe around them. The story progressed and in book 2 and their love goes through a rigorous test of time and insecurities.
I was so enamored by Rainbow, she matures and strengthens her personality with the surprising turn of events. Her characters grows, she her just comes to fore and her self reliance and assertiveness takes her to a new heights. Wes grows up and Owns his place in the universe.
Their togetherness tightens and falls in sync but the clutter they have to Wade through is thick and insurmountable, the fight is the hardest they’ve had to fight..
“All I wanted to do was stay numb and die. All Wes wanted was someone to help him survive. But somehow, together, we figured out how to live.”
Meanwhile the World is completely consumed in turmoil, broken down and totalitarian government has resorted to blatant mayhem and executions.
I shuddered at the virtual reality possibility and then realize, all around us, isn’t it what’s happening?.
I was scared how much this resembled our present times.
When darkness and terror cloaks the world like a threatening storm, it boils down to Sophie’s Choice
Sacrifice one to save all or sacrifice all to save THE ONE!!
BB is a talented writer and her turn into dystopian has me blindly following her just following her sure and capable footsteps into a virgin territory for me. Goes to show you cant keep a good author confined in a box!!
Only for BB I dived into this series blindfolded and I was bowled over. THE FEELS just clung to my skin like ash after apocalypse. Made me cry, made me swoon, made made me pine for them so strong, I didn’t want the story to end!!
5 stars for Apocalyptic Rollercoaster
It would be very easy to run out of superlatives to describe both this book and the series, so I am just going to say, it is brilliant, I am going to read all three again back to back, and that it is in my top favourites list.
Well written, a driving plot, great imagery, totally sympathetic hero and heroine and enough action to have your heart racing. Filled, again, with more new, beautifully drawn characters, ranging from the relatively normal, to the charicature, to the dramatic, funny and gross. Acts of courage, resilience, growth, the facing of fears and acting nonetheless, all combine to deliver an excellent read.
Wes and Rain will long take up a special place in my heart!
I love this trilogy! BB Easton once again, shows what an amazing author she is.
Dying for Rain is the perfect ending to an amazing trilogy.
My heart aches for Rain as she tries to come to terms with what happened with Wes. She’s a fighter and we’ve seen that since book 1. It takes her a little bit, but she gets up and does what her & Wes does best. Survive. Wes being Wes, he has his own plans on how to survive. In the end they’re stronger together. This whole trilogy just shows how true love prevails and when it’s put to the test, time and time again, nothing and nobody can stand in the way.
I can’t praise this book or this trilogy enough. I’m sad that’s it’s over, but it was one hell of a ride. Rain and Wes have become one of my favorite book couples.
I’ve lived in this series and although I’m sad it’s over what a freaking ending tho! This series I’ll never forget and will be my top book to always suggest to everyone!! There’s not enough stars or love too express those book for me!!
BB did it again. This series was phenomenal and I’m pretty sad it’s over. I will say this one more time, I DO NOT READ BOOKS LIKE THIS. They don’t interest me. As you can see, I gave this one 5 stars. Yes. I did. It was deserved. It was action packed and kept me on the edge of my seat because I needed to know how in the heck they were going to get out of this situation! I loved so much how Rain stood up for herself and took back what was hers. Realizing she needed to take charge and actually messing people up made me scream out YES! DO IT! Kill them all! I’m glad Wes never gave into his fate and knew he needed to get out for himself and for Rain. I had no doubt these two would put on a spectacular show.. and they did! Wes and Rain forever!
I’ve been dying for this conclusion. While its finally over, it is still bittersweet. I wanted to find out what happened, but I didn’t want to leave Rain and Wes.
These two have been through hell. Literal hell. They’ve fought so long and hard. Through friends turned enemies, self doubt, tragedy, and so much loss. Their world is not one you want to live in, yet they survived and became so much more badass through every hardship.
You are going to be rocked to your core, shocked, sad, and so much more with the Rain trilogy. That being said, Dying For Rain makes it totally worth it!

Out of this world!
Dying for Rain started right where Fighting for Rain ended, and it instantly gutted you in the best way possible.
*****If you haven’t read the previous 2 books, possible spoiler ahead*****
Rain and Wes are the complete opposite but complement each other perfectly. The strength the Rain conjures through Wes even in his absence and the way Wes throws away everything he has taught himself to survive in order to save Rain just speaks volumes to the connection and their undying love they share.
Throughout the trilogy you see the growth of Rainbow to the transformation of Rain. And I have honestly never been so invested in the growth of a character the way I was with hers. The scared girl in Praying for Rain, who has given up on everything and everyone around her and just accepted her fate. To this women in Dying for Rain who is kicking a$s3s and taking names.
While it is always bittersweet to see the end of a series. This one ended perfectly, answering every single question that has arisen throughout the series while also giving you the sense of finality needed to properly end something as epic as this.
